Momo struggles to counter a sudden attack by alien clones, but through a temporary truce with her sworn enemy, the alien Serpo, she is able to persevere. In order to avoid the slit-mouthed woman Reiko Kashima, who is still very much on the hunt for her, Momo and Serpo must hide out overnight in a manga cafe. And when Momo finally returns home in the morning, she finds her friends are gravely injured and being treated by none other than Mr. Shrimp!

Um excelente volume de Dandadan, com muita ação, comédia e principalmente o resgate de algo que estava um pouco de lado: a ficção cientifica. Apesar do volume anterior introduzir novos aliens, eles são melhor apresentados nessa edição, bem como toda sua lore e objetivos para com a terra. Eu sei que Dandadan também possui seu lado sobrenatural, mas eu estava com saudades das maluquices espaciais, e aqui, somos muito bem servidos.

Na trama, como consequência dos acontecimento do volume 10, Momo e seus amigos estão feridos, sendo que Okarun é o que está em estado mais grave, devido ao número de inimigos que enfrentou. Porém, nem tudo foi em vão, pois Momo conseguiu informações importantes durante sua batalha, e com um aliado peculiar, ela e seus amigos iniciam um treinamento visando enfrentar os alienígenas na próxima invasão.

Além disso, sobre a lore dos Aliens, eu achei bem interessante que o roteiro bebeu muito de elementos reais que já estão no imaginário popular quando se trata de teorias nesse sentido, por exemplo associar as pirâmides e outros monumentos da humanidade a alienígenas.

Embora não possa dar mais detalhes sobre a trama, gostaria de destacar que a amizade e o vínculo dos personagens desenvolveram bastante e tendem a evoluir ainda mais com o objetivo de derrotar os aliens. Foi muito divertido ver a Momo tratando a Aira como líder -mesmo que em tom de brincadeira – assim como ela e Jiji ensinando cara de pena para o camarão mantis para não levar bronca da Aira.

Mesmo que Dandadan seja bizarramente estranho e divertido, as interações dos personagens me ganham muito, e a cada edição que eles se aproximam e ficam mais fortes, a leitura se torna ainda mais prazerosa.

Ademais, quero ver onde a aventura isolada do Okarun irá leva-lo, pois no final, acontece algo peculiar com o personagem e quero ver como esse acontecimento sobrenatural irá impactar no combate contra os aliens.

I really love the balance between action and slice of life there is in this manga. I loved how this volume was more of a set up to the next which I know will be crazyyy. The gang though😭😭😭 Okarun😭😭😭. The serpos veing an ally was unexpected but i feel like they will betray them after they defeat the globalists. I am very scared. Also not okarun being able to astral project.

Si bien había detalles que se me han escapado de la mente por tomarme casi un año para regresar a maratonear esta joya de historia, para nada que he perdido la emoción o se me ha hecho tedioso.

Ahora el equipo se tiene que preparar para combatir a los refuerzos de alienígenas que vienen a por ellos con toda la energía que le han quitado a Okarun (que por cierto, pobre de mi chamo, está mitad en coma ahogándose con su sangre, mitad en un plano donde por algún motivo nadie lo alcanza a percibir).

Eso sí, la comedia y pequeños momentos que agitan mi corazón no han faltado. Mi niño favorito de toda la vida Jiji está practicando sus poderes y entrenando con mis otras hijas, así que sólo queda ver qué es lo que sucederá en esos pocos días que les faltan. Ya fueron derrotados cruelmente una vez y en verdad algo maravilloso tiene que pasar para que todos salgan con vida... Con o sin espías, aliados y/o traidores.

Dandadan Volume 11 is SO fucking funny. Seriously, the humor is on another level this time. I loved the first half with Momo taking the lead and her super awkward, but hilarious, team-up with Serpo in the manga cafe. Creepy turned into funny dumb shit.

Then the training montage filled with everyone failing? Absolutely too funny. Poor Okarun is out of commission, but it just adds to the chaos. This volume is a great build-up to the war coming, and I'm here for it. Definitely a 4 out of 5!

Another great Volume. Love the expansion of the world and characters while also making the stories seem manageable and relatable.
Highlights:
- Momo's battle with the Serpo finishes up, primarily from involvement from one who calls himself Rokuro Serpo, who wishes to ally with the gang. He knows stronger aliens are coming and wants to help them get ready.
- Given how long the battle lasted, Momo must hide indoors so the Slit-mouthed Woman, Reiko Kashima, doesn't find her. She and Rokuro must hide and sleep in a manga cafe all night.
- Arriving home in the morning, she sees the aftermath of the battle with the suited-up aliens. Jiji and Aira are hurt and Okarun is unconscious and on a breathing machine. Though Balmora is taking care of Okarun, Momo runs her off.
- Needing to train to get ready for the invasion, they convert the house to transport (this scene is hilarious!) and take it to the ruins of a Serpo base so they will have supplies. Though they are getting better with Aira and Rokuro Serpo in charge of the training, it's still rough going, especially with the battle simulation machines.
- Okarun wakes up, but is having an out-of-body experience. Momo and Jiji can't see him. He seeks out Seiko and Turbo Granny who are fighting yokai in a different region. They can see him, but aren't sure what to do about it.

This arc is going to go hard! Can't wait!

SO much is packed into this one volume! The stakes get dramatically higher, the tension ramps up as our heroes hit some real setbacks, desperate times lead to the riskiest alliances … and somehow, I’ve laughed harder at this volume than any other. I don’t know how this author manages that balance, but it’s brilliant.

With so much action these volumes are absolutely flying by! The balance and chemistry between characters continues to be outstanding and I really like how the group has come together to face this super threat as a team! The moments of levity were absolutely brilliant and helped alleviate some of the worry about the characters who got the snot kicked out of them. I'm always excited to see a training montage that is used as a vehicle to take both characters and plot to the next level and having the "parents" conveniently out of town, and getting hit from every side by aliens, monsters and frenemies this book is really exciting and has me pretty on edge to keep going!
