Taro Sakamoto was once a legendary hit man considered the greatest of all time. Bad guys feared him! Assassins revered him! But then one day he quit, got married, and had a baby. He’s now living the quiet life as the owner of a neighborhood store, but how long can Sakamoto enjoy his days of retirement before his past catches up to him?!
Sakamoto and friends are busy trying to get tickets to the Assassin Exhibition of the Century to stop Slur’s terrorist plot of assassinating the JAA’s chairman. To gain entry, Sakamoto puts his hopes in a black-market auction, but a ticket-buying battle breaks out with a mysterious person who’s trying to obstruct him!
because i’m reading these chapters so quickly, everything is playing out like a movie, so i can hardly distinguish which chapters associate with each volume. in my personal opinion that’s a really good thing because i’m just absolutely enthralled by the events that are playing out before me. as the story progresses, we seem to get less of a sakamoto-centric story and more of an overall plot-focused story of the jaa/order/slur. in the beginning, you could classify this story as slice-of-life adjacent, but 140+ chapters deep, it is no longer that. at this point in the story, in an attempt to stop a b0mb at a museum that the head of the jaa will potentially be assassinat3d, it seems that we’re reaching the climax of the story, but at the same time there is still so much yet to be explored. i would still recommend this to anyone who would like a combination of john wick and spy x family.
Volume 16 is a perfect example of what I love about Sakamoto Days. The ridiculously creative and unique fights and choreography, hilarious humor, a super interesting cast, and a plot that always keeps you on your toes. So exciting to see the cast all coming together in this way. Seeing characters like Heisuke get their own highlights, kaji being called back, the order and X’s team all in action, mafuyu and torumaru getting trained by Gaku, shin leveling up… this volume is one of my favorites. This arc is shaping up to be the best yet!
Kamihate’s sniper rifle being used to represent him in place of his actual body is pretty funny. Also Heisuke can apparently curve bullets a la Wanted.
Chapter 135: I'm not girl crazy. I'm weather lady crazy, you moron! Kamihate can read lips.
Chapter 136: Kamihate
Chapter 137: It wasn't my bullet that hit him. It was Sakamoto's! My Guiness book world record, my title as the world's best sniper would be taken from me! No matter what I have to keep Sakamoto from seeing that painting!
Chapter 137: Maybe you like being alone, but you've made me trust you, Kamihate!
Chapter 138: Delivery
Chapter 138:
Chapter 138:
Chapter 139: Why aren't you stopping me, you jerk?! Don't you care if you cause a person's death?! Huh? Oh, sorry. Like, you seemed really determined, so I wasn't sure if I should interfere or not... It's you fault! You hurt my pride! Aren't you even going to apologize?! Take responsibility, you scum!! What?! Cheer me up!! Honestly... I'm super grateful to you! Before this battle, I couldn't hit a target at all, yo! Huh?! That was unexpected... Well, Duh! I knew that. What? wait... Don't tell me... were you battling me all along because you wanted to help me?! Huh?! Seriously, I have no idea what you're... Uh... Yeah, I was!
Chapter 139:
Chapter 139:
Chapter 139:
Chapter 140: Gaku, you're the big brother here. Don't be lazy. Also, quit wandering around topless.
Chapter 141: Don't worry. There aren't a lot of assassins out there. If there were, I'd hire one! Oh really? Who would you have killed? My husband.
Another fine volume. The sniper battle should have wow me, but it did not, I was kind of meh. In fact while not bad the whole bit about the "Assassins Exhibit" at the art Gallery and how the big deal is they can't get a ticket to the show, then anticlimactic they are just there with tickets no sneaking in or distractions. It is all fine but just further away from the roots that caught me to enjoy this manga.
HEISUKE. YOU ARE A GOD. YOU ARE SO TOUGH. YOUR SWAG IS DIFFERENT. YOUR SKILLSET - ANOTHER LEVEL. SNIPERKING FR. also love mr sportsballer. i respect his game. AND THE EXHIBITON IS OPEN so shit is about to go down. good luck to all my pookies and I am nervous for all of them.

I really did enjoy the battle between Heisuke and the Order's sniper, Kamihate. Yes, it's over the top since both of them are snipers and are basically fighting a sniping battle. Does it make sense? Not really. But Heisuke is such a cool dude, yo, I'll enjoy any of his fights. And this time, he wasn't just in a supporting role. We learn what X is up to with the assassin exhibition, which is basically a set up for some battles to come. Again, I feel like some crucial character growth and development is needed with some of these supporting characters like Mafuyu. Otherwise, it feels like a quick and easy way to have characters fight one another instead of letting it happen organically.
Yuto Suzuki continues to make a series which keep me entertained with both humor and action as well as story and character progression. With the plan to infiltrate ruined, Team Sakamoto moves into a new angle to complete this mission. It’s a fun book with some sudden turns, twists and a very high paced story. I found myself really enjoying the cat and mouse chase. I could totally see this volume being animated without much effort other than following the panels within this book. Great volume that really was a lot of fun to read!
Grande Mina sto volume.
Good but not great. Most of the book is dedicated to the fight between Kamihate (The Order sniper) and Heisuke (friendly neighborhood sniper). It was a fun gimmicky fight but nothing too special. In the later chapters of the volume we turn to the exhibition event. The Order wants X to continue with the plan, Sakamoto's gang wants to stop it and of course X has his own plans. We're going to have a three-way fight soon I guess.
4.25/5 Another great volume! We get some interesting character development for Kamihate and we also get the kick off of the exhibition arc. It's great to see the return of some familiar faces and start to see how this arc is going to play out. It's been set up to be a wild ride and I'm excited to see how it will play out.
Heisuke and Kamihate were a great highlight in this volume. The fact that we never see Kamihate's face, and just the barrel of the gun was pretty hilarious, especially as the sniper has their daydreaming moments.
Plus seeing Heisuke go through survivor's guilt was not just well done but gave the character a chance to go through the motions his own way and still be there for his friends.
A great palate cleanser to reset your mind between the previous and next mental task. It is funny, but not ha-ha funny like Way of the Househusband, it is more subtle. The absolutely over-the-top fight scenes between a convenience store clerk and the hit-men sent to assassinate him are just that.
The action scenes and wide background shots are amazing artwork.
waktu acara pameran pembunuh bayaran semakin dekat. TAro cs masih cari cara bwt bsa masuk ke acara. LAlu tantangannya mengalahkan order yang ahli sniper. Ini sih serunya masih.
Secara gambar masih salah satu manga action on going yg terbaek nih. Musuh baru misi baru selalu menghadirkan keseruan dari komik Sakamoto Days.
