Short stories set in the world of Twisted Wonderland, based on the hit mobile game from Disney!
The second installment in a collection of small but mighty adventures, featuring the characters and world of Twisted Wonderland. Each tale is written and drawn by a different manga creator!
Note: The decision was made to consolidate all Disney publications under the name Walt Disney Company. This profile is for Walt Disney, the characters he created, and the company he founded. Any questions, please ask in the Librarian's Group.
Walter Elias “Walt” Disney (December 5, 1901 – December 15, 1966) was an American film producer, director, screenwriter, voice actor, animator, entrepreneur, entertainer, international icon, and philanthropist. Disney is famous for his influence in the field of entertainment during the 20th century. As the co-founder (with his brother Roy O. Disney) of Walt Disney Productions, Disney became one of the best-known motion picture producers in the world. The corporation he co-founded, now known as The Walt Disney Company, today has annual revenues of approximately U.S. $35 billion.
Disney is particularly noted for being a film producer and a popular showman, as well as an innovator in animation and theme park design. He and his staff created some of the world's most famous fictional characters including Mickey Mouse, a character for which Disney himself was the original voice. He has been awarded four honorary Academy Awards and has won twenty-two competitive Academy Awards out of fifty-nine nominations, including a record four in one year, giving him more awards and nominations than any other individual. He also won seven Emmy Awards. He is the namesake for Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort theme parks in the United States, as well as the international resorts Tokyo Disney, Disneyland Paris, and Disneyland Hong Kong.
Disney died of lung cancer in Burbank, California, on December 15, 1966. The following year, construction began on Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. His brother Roy Disney inaugurated the Magic Kingdom on October 1, 1971.
The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS) (commonly referred to as Disney) is the largest media and entertainment conglomerate in the world in terms of revenue. Founded on October 16, 1923, by brothers Walt Disney and Roy Disney as the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio, the company was reincorporated as Walt Disney Productions in 1929. Walt Disney Productions established itself as a leader in the American animation industry before diversifying into live-action film production, television, and travel. Taking on its current name in 1986, The Walt Disney Company expanded its existing operations and also started divisions focused upon theatre, radio, publishing, and online media. In addition, it has created new divisions of the company in order to market more mature content than it typically associates with its flagship family-oriented brands.
The company is best known for the products of its film studio, the Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group, today one of the largest and best-known studios in Hollywood. Disney also owns and operates the ABC broadcast television network; cable television networks such as Disney Channel, ESPN, and ABC Family; publishing, merchandising, and theatre divisions; and owns and licenses 11 theme parks around the world. On January 23, 2006, it was announced that Disney would purchase Pixar in an all-stock transaction worth $7.4 billion. The deal was finalized on May 5. On December 31, 2009, Disney Company acquired the Marvel Entertainment, Inc. for $4.24 billion. The company has been a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average since May 6, 1991. An early and well-known cartoon creation of the company, Mickey Mouse, is the official mascot of The Walt Disney Company.
I think I especially enjoyed this one because it was so fun seeing stories centered around some of the special events such as the Starsending and the Fairy Gala! Both are some of my favorite events in the game and seeing an artist/writer put their unique flair on it was fantastic! I especially loved the Starsending one because my best boy Deuce shined!
And speaking of him, he was in SO many stories!!! I loved it!! The one with him and Malleus made me laugh a lot, but I think the first story was my favorite!
I would also say that I wasn't just super excited to see a bunch of Deuce, but JACK!!! EEEEEPPP!! He's also one of my best boys and I especially loved the chapter about the rumor of getting good luck if you see him wag his tail. LOL! So priceless!
Honestly, all the stories were wonderful and would highly recommend this to TWST fans! Definitely another anthology I will reread in the future!
Wieder eine spaßige Kurzgeschichtensammlung aus dem TW-Universum. (immer noch miffy, das es das Spiel heir nicht gibt. Disney, was machst du ey?)
I have become a big fan of the Twisted-Wonderland mangas over the past few years. So, I am onboard for more misadventures from this crew.
Just like last volume, this one starts out with several gorgeous full-page, full-color character portraits. One by Izumi Tsubaki features a Cruella DeVil inspired Professor Crewel while Yomi Sarachi gives us a pair that rolled right out of Hades' underworld and Domino Ozaki provides a pair who take after Malificent.
As for the dozen stories here, there were several that I enjoyed. yutaka served up a fun escapade with a theme on the benefits of cooperation. Sakura Fujimoto gave us a trip to the Diasomni Dorm (the one where Malificent serves as the model). The artwork throughout was solid and very complimentary to that of the original series volumes.
What is nice about these one-off tales is that the reader is getting glimpses into more of the world and is seeing the dynamics of relationships that are forming between older characters and new ones. There were a couple that had overlapping elements (like those relating to food preparation/serving or a dance competition between dorms) that helped form a bit of a cohesive narrative mosaic across the stories.
Like the other volume in this anthology series, this primarily serves as a sampler to help the reader become better acquainted with the various characters in Twisted Wonderland. Some of the shorts are completely their own thing, while others call back to various events and character vignettes in the game.I've read this before through online scanlations but it's nice to also own an official copy. These stories aren't ones I think I'll find myself returning to very often, but I still enjoy them. Though personally, this one has my favorite of all these shorts, which is the one titled "Footsteps." It takes place during the events of book 5 in the game, and I personally think it showcases a lot of character growth and depth to Riddle in particular, which I really appreciate.
I read the first anthology manga awhile back, and I was very happy to see that the second one was just as good! If you like TWST, you will definitely love the anthology manga! It balances between genuine character building and silly moments, but it does a really good job with both, and it all feels in-character! My only complaints; this volume is shorter than the first one, somewhat noticeably so when looking at them side-by-side. Additionally, there was almost no content for a few characters, while characters like Jamil and Kalim got a lot of love. I don't think this hindered the experience at all (and considering the fact that there's 22 characters, they actually did a pretty good job focusing on a wide array of characters), but if you're reading this to get more content of Silver or Idia, well...I recommend the first volume instead!! 5/5, loved every moment and will happily reread this whenever I am sad.
Just like the first volume, this is more short side comics about the characters of Twisted Wonderland, and is equally enjoyable. Nothing new, but if it ain't broke...
Davvero divertente e molto scorrevole!
It was an anthology so the art styles were very different. I personally enjoyed a few of these vignettes and stories they decided to do. I wish there was more to be honest, some of the vignettes I wanted more out of than just a few pages, but again it's an anthology so I was expecting this. Good way to pass the time as each vignette is self-contained so you can pick it up and start whenever.
A couple of laugh out loud stories, a couple of heartfelt stories. Everyone at this school is so gay, I love it. There's some references to stuff that I've not read yet, so that'll be interesting to see unravel when the other English translations get released.
Absolutely amazing. Each short story is entertaining, the cover art is magnificent. The art in the first few pages is like a reward, and the art styles of each artist in this manga is a sight for sore eyes. This manga is so good, I had to finish it the same day that I got it.
I GOT MY BOOKS TWO DAYS EARLY WOOHOOOOO THANK YOU HERMES !!!!!!!!! I skimmed through and saw a lot of Ruggie stories and so I'm super excited for that!! I love Twisted Wonderland <33
