EVERYONE'S FAVORITE SERIAL KILLER IS BACK! The quirky and plastic-obsessed serial killer Edwyn, from 2017's critically acclaimed dark-comedy, horror series PLASTIC, returns. In PLASTIC: DEATH & DOLLS, we get to see how Edwyn came to his first kill at 10 years old and how that set him on a blood-soaked path of decapitations, sporks, and dolls on his way to finding the one true love of his life...a sex doll named Virginia.

I have a love/hate relationship with Doug Wagner's writing.. I find his work to be trite and too obvious at times, but I also can't stop reading it.

So here's more of what you'd expect from Wagner and Hillyard, with quite an intricate origin story for serial killer guy. Not the best in the series, but fun.

This was as much funny as the first book, and basically everything that duo Wagner/Hillyard brought to us. Plastic, Plush, Vinyl, everything I can think of was entertaining, emotional, and full of beautiful violence and gore, that did not feel disgusting or pushed. Loved every page of it.

A serial killer that goes after the bad guys. Sign me up.
I actually liked this one better than the first original volume. I would read more of this.

From the opening pages, Wagner constructs a world that’s dazzlingly artificial yet secretly throbbing with life. The “dolls” in the story aren’t just plastic—they’re metaphors for the versions of ourselves we present to fit in, dazzling and hollow. Every twist in the plot doesn’t just surprise, it unsettles, forcing us to question what’s genuine in a world obsessed with perfection. “If the head is ruined, the soul is lost forever”—this refrain echoes through both the story and the reader’s mind, blurring the boundary between surface and substance, body and spirit.

A big drop off from the first volume.it wasn't very good. Colouring is a drop off, but that was the last of the discrepancies.
I didn't know it was a prequel until the end. I went through issue one again and it didn't have anything stating it was earlier than the first series.

That was fire, I dont condone what he does but his mama for sure fucked him up. Took me a whole 2 issues to realise Cassidy is the man. Maybe im just stupid but some things were not explained or maybe went right over my head 😛

I think this series would be better if the main character had a bit more of a moral compass. i mean hes killing people who pick their noses and dont eat their fruit cups. Thats a bit much by any standard considering the world is full of wife beater and child abusers.

Always a wild ride with this author and this series. Who knew sporks could cause so much damage?

Content: blood and gore, murder, domestic violence, decapitation

I preferred the other story but I think it was nice to get some background on his childhood.

OMG how brutal 🫣 Though I liked the fact that you can get to understand why the killer does this and his story (at least it’s not random 🥸).
