*AI for Life* is an absolute must-read for anyone, regardless of their background or profession. In a world where artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming the way we live and work, this book serves as both a wake-up call and a practical guide to harnessing AI’s potential. The central message is clear: we must adapt to AI and learn to "tame the dragon" before it grows too powerful, overshadowing our lives and threatening our livelihoods. The author convincingly argues that the future belongs to those who not only understand AI but actively use it to advance their personal and professional goals.

What makes this book stand out is its accessibility and relevance to all walks of life. It’s not just for tech experts—it’s for everyone. The author breaks down complex concepts into actionable insights, showing how AI can seamlessly integrate into our daily routines. On a personal level, the book offers creative solutions, like using AI to navigate tricky family dynamics (think managing those tough in-law conversations) or boosting self-improvement through tailored advice. Professionally, it’s a game-changer—whether it’s turning AI into a virtual life coach, preparing for job interviews with AI-generated mock sessions, or enhancing productivity in ways we might never have imagined.

The urgency of the book’s message is hard to ignore: as AI continues to evolve, those who fail to embrace it risk being left behind, their jobs swallowed by automation. Yet, *AI for Life* isn’t about fear—it’s about empowerment. It equips readers with the tools and mindset to not just survive but thrive in an AI-driven world. This isn’t a theoretical treatise; it’s a hands-on manual for making AI a trusted ally rather than a daunting adversary.

In short, *AI for Life* is a timely, inspiring, and practical roadmap for anyone looking to future-proof their life. If you want to stay ahead of the curve and turn the AI "dragon" into a partner rather than a threat, this book is your essential starting point.

I’ll admit it—I was once skeptical of AI. (There may have even been a heated debate between me and ChatGPT... but we’ve moved past that.) Now, I’m actively exploring all the ways AI can streamline daily life, and AI for Life by Celia Quillian was the perfect guide for that journey.

This book delivers valuable insights on how the right prompts can dramatically improve AI-generated responses. Quillian breaks down practical ways to incorporate AI into everyday tasks, from productivity hacks to creative brainstorming. Instead of feeling like AI is taking over, this book reframes it as a tool to enhance and simplify life—when used correctly.

Whether you're a beginner or just looking to refine your AI skills, AI for Life is an accessible and helpful read. It’s not overly technical, making it a great choice for anyone who wants to make AI work for them rather than feel intimidated by it.

Thank you to the author, Adams Media and NetgGalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

As someone who is not particularly tech savvy and has (I’ll admit) been a bit hesitant to engage with AI before now, I was really surprised by just how accessible (and entertaining!) this book was. It really helped break down and demystify this new form of technology in a way that made it feel approachable and even exciting to try.

The book offers an incredibly helpful breakdown of the different forms of AI available on the market right now, and then goes on to lay out a variety of sample prompts to teach readers how to use AI to find answers/solutions for very common, everyday challenges and tasks. It’s only been a week and already this book has opened up a new world for me – so far I’ve used it for reviewing contracts, drafting professional emails, and outlining an action plan to help me achieve some of my personal goals this year.

If you are at all curious about AI and are looking for solutions to make your life a lot simpler, I cannot recommend this book highly enough!

I hardly ever write reviews, but I really wanted to write one for this book. I am in my 40s, and I didn’t want to get left behind in AI since I am not currently in the workforce but I’m a stay at home Mom.

This book was so helpful in giving an easy to understand and clear in introduction about what AI does and how it works. But the best part about this book was the examples Quillian gave for lots of different scenarios about how you might use AI.

The example prompts were incredible, especially for someone who had been raised queering on Google, which is incredibly different. I highly recommend this book for anybody who wants to get a start with AI.

I never thought about ways ChatGPT could actually make my everyday life easier (and more fun!) until reading this book. Celia has come up with a handy guide and specific prompts for using AI tools to come up with recipes using ingredients you have in your kitchen, new ways to style an outfit, creating a personalized travel itinerary, and much much more. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is even remotely curious about AI.

Excellent book. It is detailed and does not have filler. Part 1 describes what AI can do generally as well as non-technically describing how AI does it. The book indicates which AI agents can do certain things, like create images, and which cannot.

Part 2 is great: it gives different areas of life where AI can help and gives you examples of great prompts to get the best answer from an AI agent to help you in that area. I am now practicing a language by conversing with ChatGPT!!

Recently, I have read a couple other books on AI and found Celia’s book the easiest to understand.
Even better and more useful than the background into AI were the practical “prompts” provided in the book. My wife and I immediately were drawn to the travel prompts.

This is a fabulous book for someone who wants to start understanding AI. I am a mom of two and just know it can make my life easier- but didn’t know how! Until this book. I actually made my daughters a lullaby using chat gpt then turned it into a story book then a coloring book!

The first chapter was useful & I liked the tips for wording prompts to get best results. I wasn't especially inspired by the 100+ suggestions for using AI, but I jotted down some to play with to see if it inspires things that *are* useful to me.

Not my kind of book on AI … just common sense style on how to prompt for advice from generative AIs like ChatGPT etc.

Absolutely worth the listen. I learned so many ways AI can help me in my daily life. The examples and length were too much but I just skipped portions that did not interest me.

Bit tedious as an audio because of the book's format, but very interesting!
