Date, Wait, or Mate?: A Relationship Guide for Christian Single Adults

Rate this book
As teenagers or young single adults struggle to define themselves, gain acceptance, and make decisions about dating, they can rely on God’s principles to provide the basis for a positive self-image and the development of healthy relationships. Readers of this book will learn to see themselves through God’s loving eyes. They will read about people of various ages who have experienced acceptance, rejection, and the results of choices they made along their journeys. They will come to understand the purposes in God’s standards of morals and ethics, but they will also learn how to deal with past regrettable choices and past offenses imposed upon them by others. Ministers and teachers of youth and single adults will find that the principles contained in this book are generated by specific scriptures and real-life examples. The summarizing questions in the back of the book can be used at the end of chapters or sections to facilitate small group discussions, to encourage applications, and to foster commitments to God’s standards of living. The central theme of the book is that the key to Godly relationships is to see and accept oneself through God’s eyes.

Seeking good Christian relationships?

Well, then this is your book. I wish everyone who was single could read this book. Being single is difficult, so is dating, and knowing when to get married. This author deals with our self images, how we are seen through the eyes of God, and how God wishes for us to pursue dating. I remember my single years, well. A book like this would have helped me with some of those dating hurdles. This book in many ways, deals with more than dating issues. We need to know who we are in Christ, before we can be who we are designed to be in a healthy, godly relationship. This book is well written, and on target.
