British hotelier Ian Gregson had it all – wealth, good looks, power, and a share in his family’s worldwide, multi-billion dollar luxury hotel chain. His very name was synonymous with sophistication and elegance, and any woman he wanted could be his with just a look. But the only woman he truly desired was strictly forbidden to him for too many reasons to count. Tessa Lockwood was young, beautiful, and lonely, despite the fact that she was a married woman. Her life had not been an easy one, and the extravagant world she caught glimpses of as an employee of the Gregson Hotel Group was far beyond anything she could ever dream of. She could no more imagine herself ensconced in that sort of luxurious lifestyle than she could attracting the attention of her handsome, debonair boss.Ian and Tessa secretly long for each other from afar, never daring to reveal their forbidden attraction to the other, until circumstances bring them together in a very unexpected way. And from that point on, nothing will stand in Ian’s way to finally make her his.AUTHOR’S NOTE – despite what you might be thinking at this point, there is NO cheating in this story – just an incredibly romantic hero who will make you swoon with the way in which he sweeps the heroine off her feet!

FIVE FABULOUS STARS!

This is one of those rare books that I would happily give TEN stars to if that was possible. It was everything I had hoped it would be (after being all too briefly introduced to the intriguing Mr. Gregson in book one of this series - Serendipity) and much, much more.

Where to begin. First, this is a long book, no question there, but far shorter than three books in a trilogy would be if one were to add up the total number of pages. I appreciate that the author doesn't A) have cliffhangers in her books, B) make her readers wait months for parts two and three of a book, C) doesn't fill the book with a bunch of secondary characters and scenes that just aren't needed or add anything to the story. Last, you definitely get your money's worth ($3.99) for such a well written, quality read that the author could have easily dragged out into a trilogy. Thank you to Janet Nissenson for caring enough about her readers to not subject them to this sort of treatment!

Now to the book itself. So wonderful to read something so romantic, tender, sweet and at the same time super sexy and steamy! If you're like me you're getting really tired of books where the hero and heroine fight constantly, find ways to screw up their relationship or make excuses why they can't be together, or where one or both of them are these totally messed up people. Splendor, I'm happy to report, is nothing like this. It's a true love story and so beautiful to read that it makes your heart ache with its beauty. The story flows along seamlessly from one scene to another and the characters are so rich, so wonderfully drawn, the dialog both intelligent and enthralling.

And as for our hero and heroine - amazing! Let's start with our heroine, Tessa. She is young, vulnerable, and has had a really hard life so far. Somehow, though, despite all of her misfortunes she's managed to escape being a screwed up, angry bi*ch who lashes out at people and messes up her life even more. Because she and her mentally ill mother moved around a lot when she was growing up it was hard for her to make friends and she's still very shy and quiet even as an adult. She married very young, for reasons I won't mention here because they are part of her whole story, but let's just say it isn't a typical marriage. Tessa is a sweetheart and you find yourself rooting for her and admiring everything she's had to face and somehow still coming out of it a nice, decent person.

As for our hero - let's just say that Ian is probably the most amazing hero/book boyfriend I've ever read about. Though calling him a boy is not entirely accurate because he's already in his late thirties when we meet him and very much a MAN. But you really don't care because he's so dreamy, swoonworthy, and romantic that it makes your heart flutter every time he's in a scene. He falls in love with the married Tessa from the first time they meet, but keeps his feelings well hidden because he's too noble and too moral and too much of a proper English gentleman to ever think of hitting on a married woman. The book skips ahead two whole years to a time when Tessa eventually becomes a free woman (you'll have to read the book to see how this unfolds) and how Ian finds this out and immediately starts making plans to finally make her his own.

And boy does he ever! But in the most romantic, heart-throbbing way possible! He tells her that "I want to take care of you but never control you". He's dominant and controlling to a degree, but never in the stalker-ish kind of way that we see so many alpha-type heroes do to their women. He's protective of Tessa and amazingly generous but also encourages her to think for herself and makes her see herself in a different kind of way.

And if you think sex has to be dirty in order to be steamy, guess again. Ian is a master seducer, knowing just the right things to say and do to sexually awaken the previously naive and innocent Tessa. In this book the foreplay is even steamier than the sex itself, but at the same time it's also entirely romantic and so obvious that these two are crazy in love.

I've already read this entire book twice and am tempted to begin round three, even though I have three other brand new books on my Kindle looking for some attention. I've got this fear that after reading Splendor I'm going to be very disappointed in most everything else I read this summer because the expectations have been set so high. Everything about this book is top notch - the beautiful, flowing style of the writing, the wonderful character portrayals, the romantic yet steamy sex, and the realistic but still enthralling dialog. Splendor was everything I had hoped it would be after reading Serendipity, and as much as I loved that book I do think Splendor is even better.

If you read one book this summer let it be this one - you won't be disappointed and you'll most likely want to read and re-read it multiple times.

OK, I talked myself into it. I'm going to ignore the other books waiting to be read and start reading Splendor for the third time.

This isn't an actual review, since I'm the author of the book and I personally don't believe in rating or reviewing my own writing (obviously all of us writers think we've just composed the next Pulitzer prize winner!) I believe that a review/rating should be left up to the bloggers/readers to form their own opinions, because everyone has their own tastes in books.

What I can tell you about Splendor is that it is first and foremost a love story. Tessa and Ian wind up falling madly in love with each other and their relationship is a truly beautiful thing to read about. If you are looking for a story where the hero/heroine are in continual conflict with each other, fight their attraction to the other, and keep finding ways to sabotage their relationship and thus remain apart this is not the story for you. And if you're also on the lookout for a book where one or both of the lead characters are seriously messed up people with too many issues to count, this is also not what Splendor is about. Last, if you're a big fan of trilogies and having to wait months to see what happens next this also isn't the book for you because everything is wrapped up in one standalone book.

You do not have had to read Serendipity prior to reading Splendor. I will tell you that Splendor is actually the book I wanted to write first, but the groundwork for it had to be laid down in Serendipity. Ian is without a doubt a fabulous hero - definitely an alpha and controlling male but also a tender lover, a sophisticated gentleman, and a one-man woman. Tessa is young, vulnerable and has had a very difficult life so far, so when Ian almost literally sweeps her off her feet her life takes a huge change for the better.

Is everyone going to love this book? Of course not. But I hope that if you do decide to place this on your to-read list you'll wind up falling in love with these characters as much as I did. I'm actually feeling pangs of withdrawal now that their story is over because I truly miss writing about their beautiful love affair. I think I shall definitely have to write some additional scenes and post them here as free reads on Goodreads in the coming months.

Thank you for considering this read and I hope you enjoy!

Most people love surprises, especially if they are good ones, and for me reading Splendor was one of the most blow my socks off surprises in a really long time. I read A LOT, but admit that I like to stay in my comfort zone and hang with writers that are well established and that I’ve read before. So much of the new indie stuff being published today frankly isn’t always very good and for awhile my DNF pile was getting out of control so I stopped checking out new writers for a long time. Lately, though, there’s been something of a lull between new releases, or at least any that are getting me excited, so I’ve been tentatively looking for new material again.

Splendor first came to my attention when it was featured on Literati Book Reviews (one of my fav book blogs) and both the synopsis and the cover caught my interest so I added the book to my TBR list. Just got around to reading it about a week ago and even though it’s a long book (you truly get your $3.99 worth with this one!) I finished the whole thing in less than two days. It was, for me, one of THOSE books that you just can’t put down and keep ignoring everything else that’s got to get done that day just so you can keep reading.

The plot is fairly simple and straightforward. When we first meet our hero and heroine – Ian and Tessa – she has just started working on his executive staff and there is pretty much instant attraction between the two of them. He’s quite a bit older than she is, and then he finds out she is already married, so for those and other reasons he has to keep his attraction to her hidden for a long time. I wish there had been more details about this part of the story, more scenes with Ian having to fight his growing feelings for Tessa, but with the book already being pretty lengthy I kind of understand why the author skimmed over this part to get to the heart of the matter.

Tessa’s marriage eventually comes to an end and when Ian finds out the news a few months later he immediately starts planning on how he’s going to woo her over. There is a really hot scene in his office that basically triggers things off between them and from there the relationship develops at a rapid pace. Tessa’s had a hard life, living in near poverty for most of it, and having to do without a lot of things, while Ian is from a very wealthy, privileged family. He’s determined to take care of Tessa but also promises her not to dominate or control her and encourages her to go back to school and realize just how competent and smart she really is. The rest of the book is really just about their growing love story, with some obstacles thrown in like having to keep their relationship a secret at the office, jealous co-workers, eventually breaking the news of their relationship to friends and family, etc. but basically this is NOT one of those angsty, back and forth, drive you out of your mind relationships where the hero and/or heroine just seem to keep finding ways to screw things up. This is just a really, really dreamy and romantic love story, the kind you just like to sigh and swoon over and wish you were the lucky girl who had such a hunky man to take care of you and rock your world.

And, wow, is Ian one of the dreamiest heroes ever! He is definitely controlling, especially at the office where he is known as the boss man, and expects perfection from those who work for him. Everyone has this impression of him as a stuffy, cold British gentleman but with Tessa he is very, very different. She is the key, apparently, to unlocking his previously bottled up emotions and with her he is tender, warm, caring and so romantic. Their love scenes are both seductive and steamy, beautifully described and detailed. Tessa goes from a shy, mostly naïve and innocent girl to a confident, seductive woman, all due to Ian’s influence and watching the journey both of them take along the way is one of the reasons I couldn’t put the book down for very long.

Overall, this is some of the best writing I’ve seen in a long time. The writer really paints an in-depth portrait of the characters and while I normally don’t prefer stories written in third person it definitely works well in this case. You really come to know these characters and feel along with them – their passion, their fears and insecurities, their true and perfect love for each other. I was sorry to see this book come to an end (and it is a standalone book with a really lovely HEA) and hope that the writer plans to bring these two gorgeous people back in future works.

After finishing this book, I couldn’t help but think of that famous line from Forrest Gump – “life is like a box of chocolates – you never know what you’re going to get.” Books are like that, too, I’ve found. Sometimes you read all this press about a book, or the synopsis/blurb really catches your eye, but then you wind up being really let down because the writing is just so-so or the plot is something you’ve seen dozens of times already. But once in awhile you get a real gem, a pearl in an oyster, and all is well with the world again (at least until the book ends). So I’m glad I took a chance on this book because it reminded me that life is all about taking chances and that sometimes they really pay off.

READ THIS BOOK! IT IS TRULY AMAZING!

I'm so glad I gave this book a chance because I'm usually hesitant to read newer authors. But after reading a glowing review and great excerpt at one of the blogs I follow I was hooked and starting reading Splendor the same day. Best decision I've made in a long time and overall one of the best books I've read in months! I've already added the author's first book to my TBR list and hope to get started on it soon. Both books are standalones, so you don't have to read them in order or anything.

Splendor tells the really gorgeous love story between Tessa and Ian. Tessa is young, innocent (even though she's married, which is a whole other story but no spoilers here), and beautiful. She and her husband Peter have just moved to San Francisco to start new jobs, and she is assigned to the management team at the hotel corporation she works at. On her first day she meets the head manager - Ian - and can't help but be attracted to him. Ian, who is handsome, rich and powerful, is also very hands off with his staff and sort of a stuffy British gentleman. But then he meets Tessa for the first time bells start going off in his head and he knows he's met THE ONE. Too bad he also finds out she's married so he has to keep his feelings for her hidden away for a long time.

Fear not, because they eventually do get together (with no cheating!) but you have to read the book and find out how this happens (because no spoilers here!) After that, it is HOT HOT HOT. Ian might give off the image of being stuffy and formal but not behind closed doors with Tessa. He is super romantic, super seductive, and really kind of sweeps innocent Tessa off her feet. And even though he is a controlling kind of guy, used to giving the orders and being in charge, he shows at times that he is also insecure, especially when he worries that he's too old for Tessa (there is something of an age difference but not so much that it feels creepy) and that she'll eventually break up with him to date someone younger.

But Tessa falls in love with him, too, and from then on their love story is so beautiful and dreamy that you just can't help swooning a little each time they're together. Even though Ian is a little older than most heroes these days (he's 40) he is a real stud and so devoted to Tessa that it makes you want to cry with how much he loves her. So nice to finally read a story where two people are just genuinely in love and don't fight or call each other names, etc. This is a long book, though still shorter than if the author had broken it up in a trilogy like so many books are these days. But even though it was long I still didn't want it to end, I just wanted to keep reading about these two.

Definitely a five star book, I would give it higher if I could. Loved everything about it except for the fact that it's over!

This is one of the best books that I had read in 2016 and although the list continues when it comes to good books, this one always pops in my mind.
It is fantastic!!

To begin with, I love the books where you can clearly see an evolution of the main characters. For the heroine, this has been a path of discovery and of loving herself again. I am very glad to have read a book like this that inflicts a sense of wanting to become a better person due to the one you have beside you. This connection between the characters where they support one another and heal each other was fantastic for me.

Ian is one of my favorite book boyfriends because of the multiple qualities he posses, but beside that, he was my hero for the way he healed Tessa and made her strong in body, mind and soul, confident in her abilities and in her relationship with others. Love is the key element here and maybe it can sound a little odd, but in the majority of the situations, can heal everything. The depth of their love and devotion was so sweet, that while reading this book I was trapped in this word, with very low possibility of escaping. It is kind of rare for me to feel so hooked upon a book, but this combination was it for me:) After meeting Tessa for the first time, he felt that connection towards here and I was literally dying that she will realize what an amazing man she has by her side. He was loyal and devoted, making it his mission to erase everything bad from her past and replace it with happy memories. He was amazing and every time I thing about this hero there are no other words that appraisals for him.

I trully hope that in real life every woman can find their Ian, because they deserve it. This is the classical tale of Cinderella, beautifully reinterpreted that makes you swoon and dream. I know that maybe this love story and happenings were only to be read about, but it was worthy living in a imaginary and perfect word when you have this love story to melt your heart.

I strongly recommend this book due to the excellent writing style, the humor, the drama and the intense elements that Janet used to portrait this beautiful love story!

The best of this series by far!!

Beautiful, beautiful book! One of the best, most romantic true love stories I have ever read, and please tell me that Ian was based on a real life person because I want one of him for myself!

I've started obsessing over Ian and Tessa since they made their brief but unforgettable appearance in Serendipity.
I was never affected so much in my reading history but secondary characters and was literally count-downing the days to get their book.
Honestly I was both excited and terrified. What if their story won't live up to my huge expectations?
Now I can say that nothing of what I imagined and hoped for in my wild imagination was remotely comparable to the real thing.

I've read thousands of books and few are the male characters who strongly impacted me.

Ian Gregson is not only the book boyfriend you all drool over in Romanceland but the boyfriend you desperately long for to meet and marry in real life. He can be wealthy, handsome and experienced but what makes you fall in love with him is who he is not what he has. He's the most sweet, devoted, romantic and in love man I've ever had the luck to read of. He's the man I want as a partner.

He doesn't need to be a jerk or an irrational caveman to be hot. I like Alpha males but Ian is in a realm of his own.

He's fallen in lust and then in love with Tessa since the beginning but knowing she was much younger than him, his employee and in addition married crushed him and putted a stop to anything he desired because he knew she was the one for him.

"Ian thought he’d received all the shocks one person could handle in one day, but the knowledge that the beautiful, golden girl - who had caught his attention like no other woman ever had before - belonged to another man was almost enough to knock him on his arse."

"He’d known – just known somehow – that she had been made for him. It had been the biggest shock of his life to realize that she’d already been claimed by another man."

We know from the first moment he cares and loves Tessa deeply, he could have swept Tessa off her feet in an instant but even if Ian is madly in love he couldn't act on his feeling for Tessa when she was still married.

"And now, he was going to have to man up and find some way to keep his wayward emotions under control in her presence."

Ian tried to fight his attraction to Tessa and keep his distance from her as much as possible.

Anyway our Ian is not the only one affected here. Tessa has always admired her boss too, as a good and fair person and as an handsome, charming and attractive man. If you are wondering there's no cheating and no secret affair going on. And to say the truth Peter is really a nice guy.

"She felt guilty every single time she saw Ian Gregson, or even thought about him, and recognized the little thrill that shimmered through her body as attraction. Tessa always dismissed her reactions to her charismatic, compelling boss as nothing more than a silly little schoolgirl crush, the same sort of harmless infatuation one might harbor for a movie star. God knew she would never, ever consider acting on her awareness of him."

The things starts changing only after Tessa

To be honest I'd not be so controlled like Tessa had I been in her place. I'd have jumped Ian's bones at the first occasion. This British guy is a man you can't get away from!

However I think Tessa was "trapped" in her marriage by the psychological dependence she had on Peter. Theirs was not a

Tessa may be a twenty-four years old girl but she's very inexperienced and shy. She might have been a married woman but knew nothing of love, passion.
Peter was more a friend than a lover and there was never intimacy or passion between the two of them. Affection and care yes, but never more than that. Not all the love stories are about fire and blazes but the marriage they had was only a means to make ends meet. They were not meant to be. Not like Tessa and Ian were.

Back to them....Ian really doesn't waste time once he knows Tessa is free. He was ready to wait forever and keep loving her in silence without betraying his real feelings. Luckily he has only waited for almost three years.

"God, he had feared for so long that this day, this opportunity, would never come along."

He wants Tessa. And now that she is a free woman there's nothing stopping him. Ian is a man on a mission. Poor lucky Tessa has not a chance but I bet she doesn't mind.

Ian is her first and only in every sense. He awakens her sexually and emotionally. The first real partner she doesn't depend on and her first real sexual experience. Tessa's marriage was nice but nonetheless a way of dependency she was afraid to break the chains of.

And Tessa is Ian's first and only too. The only woman he has ever loved and loves. This man is ready to do anything for her. Anything.
I also wish a Ian for me.

And I love the intimacy, the little so impossibly sweet and tender gestures he lavishes her with. Don't make me star when they cuddle....my hearts melts. Ian is not afraid of showing his love and weakness regarding Tessa and his strong and deep emotions for her.

"Say it again."
She knew exactly what he meant. “I love you,” she whispered, cupping his face between her palms.
Ian’s own eyes filled with tears, and she brushed one away with her thumb, staring at him in disbelief. "God, do you have any idea how long I’ve wanted to hear you say those words?" he uttered brokenly.
"I never, ever, dreamed you would actually do it, though. I’ve loved you since the day you walked into my office, Tessa. I am completely, insanely in love with you, my darling girl, and you have just made me the happiest man on earth."
He kissed her softly. "And I have never, ever, told a woman that before. So you see, you are my first in many ways as well – my love."

Anyway if some of you needs passion in their books, don't worry because you won't be disappointed.

“Ah, His Hotness is finally here,” said Kevin in a stage whisper. “It’s show time, ladies.”

Ian is tender, sweet and romantic but he's also hoooot!!!! He's a forty years old man but his age doesn't diminish his appeal. He's the Alpha male all the female population wants to be with. His horny employers labels him Mr.Hotness not without reason.

“God, he just gets hotter with every passing year. Most men get fat and gray as they age but not him.”

Speaking of ages I love older hero/young heroine books so this was a bonus point to the story. The age gap plays a part in the story but doesn't create gratuitous angst. Between the two of them Ian is the more aware of but after a while he stops worrying because it's pointless. Tessa loves him madly. I love him too.

“Tessa swiftly slid her palms to either side of his face, gazing at him with fire in her blue eyes. “If I was in a room surrounded by a thousand different men, you’re still the only one I’d want – the only one I’d see. I don’t care about the age difference, Ian.”

Seriously, I've an obsession for this hot British older man. And the sex. Oh my god, here we are again, of course. The sex is so exciting, captivating and addictive. Sometimes they fuck and other time make love but every single time you sense that indestructible bond of unmatchable love they feel for each other. Never seen a couple more in love with a chemistry over the charts!

"Tessa wasn’t sure what side of him she loved better – the erotic seducer or the dominant lover."

Envy is eating me alive!

“Jesus,” he uttered rawly. “I could come right now, just like this, without moving an inch. That’s what you do to me, Tessa. And as many times as I’ve imagined this moment, I never dreamed it could feel this good.”

And...

“I love how tight you are,” he crooned, slowly withdrawing his fingers only to replace them with the tip of his fully engorged penis. “How it feels like you can’t possibly take all of me but yet you do anyway. How this sweet, hot pussy sucks me in.”."

Envy has killed me!

Another thing I love about the story is that there are no shocking or life-altering secrets to be revealed. I love well-written tortured bad-boy and/or stories but you have mind-blowing passionate love stories and heroes with other kind of men too. The ones you can't find only in Romanceland but also in real life and actually love. Because our bad-boys are great in a fictional universe but in all honesty I'll kick their asses if they pull some of their caveman acts on me.
So if you are looking for a tortured man-whore millionaire saved but the clueless innocent girl with evil exes lurking in the dark, well keep looking. You are still going to miss a great story here but I understand each of us has different tastes and preferences. I have my preferences too but I like reading of different kind of heroes.
Splendor is like the eye of the storm. Ian and Tessa’s love is one of a kind, one that brings them awakening, passion and fulfillment. You see them experiencing, learning and growing as individuals and a couple.
From the outside you see the extraordinaire and unique bond they share and how impossible is to get inside. Nothing and no-one can overtake the storm at protection of their love.

"Nothing matters if I don't have you, Tessa".

"My sweet, darling girl. You are the love of my life."

And I so do agree with Ian's belief. I'm a firm believer in fate.

“Darling.” He reached across and softly kissed each of her eyelids, brushing the tears away with his thumb. “It’s not luck – it’s fate. You were meant for me all along, Tessa. It just took a while for the stars to align properly.”

By now I think it's obvious I didn't simply love this story. More than that. And I'm in no way ready to let Ian and Tessa go. So I fervently hope the author will write novellas, one-shot stories about them and it's implied I expect to see them a lot in the future books of the Inevitable series. And make them have a lot of babies!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Splendor captured my heart from the beginning of page one until the very end. This beautiful, passionate, intense love story is the epitome of romance.

Ian Gregson is a very powerful man. He runs a multibillion dollar hotel empire that spans all over the world. He is obviously very rich, powerful, and desirable. He is married to his work. Always has been. Enter Tessa Lockwood, a new employee to his company. She is much younger than Ian, beautiful, oh and married. From the moment Ian locks his gaze on Tessa he is a changed man. He wants what he can’t have. Tessa feels the pull towards Ian, but she is faithful to her husband. Also as a company rule, dating is not allowed. With the stacks against them, neither one is allowed to give in. But love doesn’t see obstacles. It breaks through them. This is not a cheating story. It is about two individuals not truly knowing and understanding love until they’ve met each other. That true love always wins.

“Didn’t you know I was lost for my entire life until I met you?”

Ian and Tessa exude electricity whenever they are within the same room. Without spoiling the story, we get to see them on their journey through life and falling in love. We learn that the circumstances they have brought them together. Love isn’t easy, but true love knows no boundaries.

“I will slay dragons for you, my love, and whatever monsters might try and hurt you.”

Ian and Tessa were only existing when they met each other. Ian worked night and day, tirelessly to continue to grow his business. Tessa worked hard just to stay afloat financially. Both of them just coast through life. Until each other. Tessa awakens the alpha and passionate man Ian has inside of him. She ignites a spark within him that he never knew existed. She changed his life. Ian made Tessa realize that she never knew love until him. That love can be raw, passionate, consuming. That love feels good. Ian and Tessa are no longer existing, they are living.

"My sweet, darling girl. You are the love of my life."

I cannot explain the excitement when I found out Ian was getting a book. I absolutely adored book one, Serendipity. From the moment I met him, I was hoping (and BEGGING!) for him to get his own book. The author must have heard my cries (or not!) that he needed his own book. Whoever she listened to, I am grateful! Splendor does not disappoint. Ian is more than I could have ever imagined. He is the ultimate romantic. From the way he lusts after Tessa to his words, his actions, EVERYTHING.

Splendor is such a flawlessly written love story. The author has a true talent in story telling. You will not want to put this book down. The story allows you to get lost within the characters and their lives. You become completely captivated in their love. Ian and Tessa’s story is one that will stay with me for some time. Love always perseveres. Love always wins.

This series is amazing! I loved book one and loved book two even more! I can’t wait for the other books to come out!!!

I would consider this book standalone, you won’t be lost when reading it, however, I also think you will get a better feel for the characters if you read them in order. The first book, Serendipity, which is Julia and Nathan’s story, does have a direct relation to Splendor. Nathan & Ian are business partners and Julia and Tessa are friends. But the author does a wonderful job in explaining their relationship and I don’t think you will be lost.
))))))whispers…...but the first book is sooooooo good!!((((((

Tessa is….wow her story is heartbreaking. This character affected me so much in that she’s just so sweet and innocent and when she tells her story to Ian….there’s no way you won’t feel deeply for her. She’s had an extremely hard life for her 24 years but has come to a place where she can at least make a living and be a little bit happy. She’s in what the old school term for “secretarial pool” would be for the home office of Ian’s company. She’s also married!!!! Which is a story in and of itself. Don’t worry…..there’s no cheating that goes on in this book.

Ian is regularly introduced to a great many people. Females and males of all different colors, sizes and nationalities. He’s also used to the female attention as he is….well he’s just HOT! He doesn’t mix business with pleasure….EVER!! Never has and never would. Until little Tessa walks into his office. He is pretty much instantly in love with her. But he also finds out she’s married and he’s not going there for sure. He pines away for her for more than TWO years, going so much as to not sleep with anyone else. Then finally he finds out she’s getting divorced and he has to make his move.

This book is amazing!!! It’s sorta long but in a very very good way. The story builds and the author created this romantic world for them that is just so amazing to read about. It’s not pretentious and it’s not really sad (except Tessa’s history) but just a truly romantic love story. With Tessa’s innocent personality Ian is able to bring her body alive in a way she’s never known. He turns her into a little sexpot! LOL

This book is a definite MUST READ!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE

This is the second book in the Inevitable series and I just have to say WOW. Another great storyline, you sort of get hooked as soon as you start reading. It can be read as a stand alone but with a book this good you will want to check out Janet’s others aswell to give yourself a better understanding about who all the characters are.

You kind of already got introduced to the two main characters from Serendipity. Ian is a very important businessman whose family owns a multi-billion dollar luxury hotel chain. He has had a thing for Tessa from the moment she walked into his office after being introduced as a new member of his staff. He fell for her like a ton of bricks and now two years later he is still longing for the one woman he wants most but can’t have due to her being married, as well as being an employee and fifteen years his junior.

Tessa is a bit of a shy to start with, wouldn’t say boo to a ghost, she isn’t very sure of herself and its not until you find out more about her back story that you understand a bit more about why she is the way she is. She isn’t very trusting of herself or people around her. You just want the best for her after all the hardships she has had to overcome. She has had a secret crush on her very attractive boss for as long as she can remember. Even though she is married its not your everyday marriage and once you find out why you can understand why she would want to live in her fantasy world for a bit longer. Longing for her boss who she wouldn’t think would look her way in a million years. The book starts out that she is still married but I have to point out that this book is not about infidelity in the slightest. You find out very early on that she is going to get a divorce, her husband deciding to let her go so she can try and find a partner who can give her the things that he can’t.

To say that Ian thinks all his Christmas’ have come at once at the Christmas party would be an understatement. When he sees Tessa leaving he decides to follow her out to make sure she gets home ok. He happens to ask about her husband and almost gets floored by her answer that they are actually getting a divorce. He starts to conduct an idea that he would slowly woo her the following week while she fills in for his PA but that all sort of changes the moment he sees her half naked standing in his office bathroom doorway. She has really only just got her blouse off wearing a bra that has seen better days barely keeping her in, but I don’t think he has ever been more thankful for an ink cartridge spilling in his life. When Tessa turns round to see Ian standing right there she is like a rabbit caught in head lights, not sure what to do. But with his domineering voice saying ‘come here’ she is just drawn to him completely. The first kiss they have is just like wow, very steamy, backed against a wall, hands over her head and being completely taken by Ian in the best way possible – not that Tessa is complaining. Showing you that it’s the start of what’s to come.

Ian and Tessa’s relationship is a very intense one, with her being so inexperienced in many ways he takes to giving her lots of firsts – the bedroom department being the main focus here. I would say that their relationship to start with is about 80% in the bedroom and not always restricted to there! When they start to get going its gets so hot in places that I thought my kindle was going to go up in flames. To say that they are addicted to each other would be an understatement. Tessa starts out as a shy timid little mouse but the moment she gets with Ian she turns in a bit a wild cat. With the amount of sexanthons that they have throughout you can see that they can’t seem to get enough of each other. It’s electrifying when you see them in a room together. It doesn’t need to start off as anything sexual, Tessa can just be looking at Ian from a distance and with the more she looks, the more she wants and when he sees he passion in her eyes you can tell that he will do everything to keep it there by taking her in every which way he can think of. The saying it’s the quiet ones you need to watch as they have the most fun definitely comes to mind when thinking about Tessa. Ian is a very domineering character who wants nothing more than to just take care of Tessa in everyway possible, especially when he finds out more about her past. The love and passion between them just grows and grows throughout.

I thought a few characters storylines could have been developed a bit further though – vial Jason’s being one of them, maybe made it a bit darker like the end of Serendipity when Julia gets shot at. I do love Ian’s mother though with Alicia, its hilarious when she finds her having a go at Tessa, Alicia can’t believe Ian would pick Tessa over someone like her, calling her a gold-digger and saying Ian will get board of her soon enough. So Ian’s mother calmly steps in and says ‘So how long have you been working for the company my dear’ and when she replies five years she’s like ‘Well that will look good on your CV, something I think you should touch up while writing your resignation tomorrow’ – brilliant just brilliant.

Even though it did feel a little long in places you do get a good ending for them; which is what you hope for with a romance. Ian seems like the best type of boyfriend in the world. He would do anything for Tessa and she in turn would do anything for him. It seems to be though that whenever she says something like ‘You’re my world, I’d do anything for you’, he turns into a bit of a wild animal, cave man mode almost in the bedroom which she does appreciate very much. I loved how you still had characters from Serendipity making an appearance – Nathan and Julia mainly but also her sister who I can’t wait to read more about. Overall a very interesting read, great story, great writing, amazing sex scenes, so well worth checking out. Looking forward to the rest in the series.

I received this ARC from NetGalley for my honest review.

I have been through a dry spell lately. Nothing I read was inspiring me to keep reading. I was finding myself heartily distracted and unmotivated to read. This is SO unlike me that I was getting pretty worried that maybe I needed to take a break from reading. And then I found this book. It has redeemed my faith and I stayed up until 4 AM reading.

This is a long book. Even though I read like crazy, I couldn’t finish it in one night. While this story would be easy to include in the ‘billionaire-ingénue’ trope that is taking contemporary romance by storm. But that would be underselling this book. While it does have a billionaire, he is forty, not twenty something. While there is a young, impressionable woman, she has paid her dues in life. While there are some complications to the plot, there is not the rapid escalation of life changing events like there are in Fifty Shades or Crossfire.

When I was reading this book, I kept looking at the percentage tracker on my kindle. I kept wondering when the big conflict and misunderstanding would happen. But it never really came. The characters in this relationship spend the majority of the book getting to know one another and the story follows them while they explore their motivations, desires and future. It’s different than others in this genre.

I really liked Ian. I love the name as it reminds me of Almost Heaven by Judith McNaught. He was British (yay), he was older (yessss), he was hot (whew) and he was intelligent (super). There was not much to dislike about Ian. He repeatedly told Tessa that he wanted a partnership with her, not to control or dominate her. I liked that about him. When I think of Christian Grey, he defines control. It was refreshing to read about a mature man. Ian has friends, family and a strong sense of responsibility for his employees. I found myself respecting this character.

My feelings about Tessa are more complex. While I definitely felt for the character as she truly has had a terrible hand in life, her evolution had me questioning things. In other books like this, the lead characters like Anastasia, give up their lives for the men they fall in love with. While there is nothing wrong with this per se, it’s just something I have trouble relating to. Another conundrum I had while reading this book (and others like it) is that the female characters are so virtuous and good. Ian spoils Tessa with designer fashions on a regular basis. She is constantly telling him to stop and doesn’t want to accept the clothes. This makes me feel like a schmuck. I would be thrilled to have the beautiful wardrobe. I think I came to a realization when I read this book. I find it harder (not impossible) to relate to women like Tessa because I am a greedy b*tch. I would not be that self-sacrificing. I sound so mercenary, but what girl would be happy to keep a Forever 21 wardrobe over being spoiled rotten with luxurious garments.

Tessa has a terrible past. She is married when she meets Ian, but don’t worry. There is no cheating in this book. It takes a long time for things to work so they can be together. Once they are, I loved that Ian took care of Tessa. He was so kind and careful with her. It was kind of fun to see the guy be the one so worried about screwing it up. Tessa has no family and very little friends. While Ian becomes her whole world, this wouldn’t be different if she had dated someone else. Tessa isn’t a perfect character – she is beautiful, fit and considerate, but she also is outrageously shy and insecure.

Tessa and Ian have great sex. It’s like the honeymoon phase of a relationship. It was so funny how Ian worried about the fifteen year difference and upped his protein intake in order to keep up with her. Not to give a lot away, but Tessa is very inexperienced, despite being married. I really liked seeing her blossom under Ian’s care. While the sex is frequent, it helped to bind the characters together for me. I liked seeing Tessa become confident in her body and sexuality as the story progressed.

Great secondary characters complete the story. The employees at the hotel and Tessa and Ian’s friends provide a good context for the characters. I liked Ian’s parents and of course Mrs. C was just awesome!

This was a great book. I was surprised that there wasn’t the big misunderstanding that I was expecting, but now I am so glad. It was a very romantic and heady story about two people falling in love.

While Ian was in boarding school, he didn't like the discipline imposed on him by his teachers. Know though he could fully appreciate that guidelines that had been instilled in him so long ago. Ian had grown up around well dressed women his mother, grandmothers, aunts and cousins. It didn't matter that Tessa's simple dress had been bought off of a sale rack or a discount store, she looks stunning in anything that she wears. Tessa is a very quiet person, she doesn't like to gossip or tell people about her personal life. Tessa just went to work and did her job and she excelled at it. Tessa's husband Peter wants a divorce because he can't give her what she needs. When Tessa is alone she can feel the darkness and she has to fight it off. When Tessa finally tell's Ian that she is getting a divorce, Ian starts on his plan to be with Tessa.
Ian has iron control over his emotions he is 39 years old, he is very protective of Tessa. He is in charge of the North American and the South American Hotels. Tessa Lockwood Transfers from Tuscon resort. She is on the management support team. She is 24 and she doesn't like to feel alone. She doesn't have many friends expect know for Julia. Jason is a creep and he is married to Ian's cousin. He has a lot of sexual harassment complaints against him, he was transferred to a different branch and got a demotion. Andrew is Ian's PA, he knows how to run of the office, he is called the Ice Man. Gina works for Ian but she wanted to be in fashion. Alicia has a thing for Ian, doesn't like Tessa. Julia is Tessa's friend.
This book is very well written and the characters were very well developed. I again was drawn into the story from the beginning. I felt connected to the characters. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

Tessa is a shy girl who has had such a rough life. Ian has been in love with her from the moment she walked into his office joining his team at work. Two problems though. She is married and there is a no dating rule within the company where they work. When Tessa gets a divorce, it opens the door for Ian to pursue her.

There is absolutely no cheating in this book. While they are both attracted to each other, they don't act on their feelings until she is divorced. Also her marriage is not what you think it is and has everything to do with her past.

I so loved Tessa. She is just one of those genuinely sweet people who just wants to love and be loved. I especially loved her with Ian who is off the charts hot. He was quite uptight before her and she definitely loosens him up. I adore Ian as he wanted nothing more than to love Tessa and take care of her. I also loved the people that surrounded them and was excited to see Julia and Nathan again.

I give Splendor 5 hearts!

Title: Splendor (Inevitable #2)
Author: Janet Nissenson
Genre: Romance, Contemporary
Publication Date: June 17, 2014
Published by: Bookbaby
Source: Copy Given by Author and Tour Organizer

ARA'S NOTE:
My review for the first installment in the Inevitable series is not that colorful, but rest assured that I'll be back to my usual loving self here on Splendor...because I liked it. *smiles*

SYNOPSIS:

She could no more imagine herself ensconced in that sort of luxurious lifestyle than she could attracting the attention of her handsome, debonair boss.

Ian and Tessa secretly long for each other from afar, never daring to reveal their forbidden attraction to the other, until circumstances bring them together in a very unexpected way. And from that point on, nothing will stand in Ian’s way to finally make her his.

AUTHOR’S NOTE – despite what you might be thinking at this point, there is NO cheating in this story – just an incredibly romantic hero who will make you swoon with the way in which he sweeps the heroine off her feet!

CHARACTER BACKGROUND:
Ian Gregson is the poster boy for being a gentleman. He also rarely shows real emotions. But with our heroine, his detached demeanor that he has perfected over the years shatters with not much effort.

Tessa Lockwood is one of the strongest women ever. She conquered every bad thing that has happened to her, and came out strong. She's loyal, hard-working, and dependable. She felt for Ian what she never really felt in her marriage...true love.

REVIEW:
I liked this book SO much more than Serendipity. So sorry, but that one was just too much for me. Splendor however, I loved the characters. Tessa didn't cheat on her husband no matter how strong the pull is between her and her boss, the husband is also a genuinely good person who helped Tessa through everything, and Ian was just...Brilliant! He does everything to make our heroine feel like a princess, because for him, she deserves nothing less. The childhood (and early adulthood) of Tessa was heartbreaking yet completely believable that I felt my heart breaking for her. If I were our billionaire, I would also spoil her rotten. She's such a wonderful person that she doesn't even curse the life that has been handed to her. She just accepts it and tries to survive. I guess I just really like a good sob story. That point has been proven again during tragic parts in this book. (Whatever those are, I won't share. You need to read the book. *smiles sweetly*)

As usual there were a lot of sex in this book, making it that much longer than it should be. But hey! All the more for other people. I just sort of flipped through those scenes because I was more interested in the story.

SUMMARY:
4 stars goes to Splendor, and these are stars well-earned. Unfortunately, to fully enjoy this you have to read part 1. Once again I apologize to the author and the fans for my less than enthusiastic reaction towards it.

It has been a very long time since I've been as engrossed in a book as I have in this one! And now I have finished I am feeling pretty bereft! I have loved spending a few evenings this last week in the company of Ian and Tessa and their absolutely beautiful love story.

In this book we have an immensely good looking hotelier, Ian, who to be honest seems as though he has been married to his job for the best part of his life. In walks the shy and retiring but beautiful Tessa and literally turns is life upside down.

It has been a refreshing change to read a book about a male lead character who is just genuinely amazing and not tainted in any way. Ian is just a genuine, hardworking and fiercely loyal gentleman and as a book boyfriend he is just about perfect! Oh and he's pretty experienced tin eh bedroom department too!

We also meet Tessa and out of the pair she has had an appalling start in life but still somehow managed to come through the other side intact and is such a sweet kind hearted person whom you root for from the beginning. She really wouldn't hurt a fly and it actually broke my heart she you discover the true reality of her marriage and how she ended up with her husband!

This is just a beautiful journey of discovery for Tessa and one of the most romantic and simply heartwarming books I have read in a long time. I love the multiple voices in which Janet writes this story and the different perspectives fill out the story nicely. It is also a stand alone and although there is some reference to things that happen in an earlier book, it isn't necessary to have read that to enjoy this truly stunning story. And can I just say that Ian will make even the coldest of hearts melt - his words and emotions at times are absolutely heart stopping! And I forgot to mention it's pretty hot too!

The lack of angst and of anything remotely complicated in the storyline was so refreshing and I must admit that as I am writing this review I feel slightly sad that my time with Ian and Tessa is over. I have to admit that this is the first book of Janet's that I have read and I am heading straight to one click the first book in this series just because I want more!

Loved, loved, loved the book - what more can I say! Stunning!

Five perfect romance stars from me!

I really enjoyed Splendor. The story line of the much older man and younger woman was done very well. So well that I did not even realize that there was a fifteen year age difference between the two until it was mentioned. The man is described as young looking for his age because he is so physically fit. The author kept me engrossed in the story until the very last page. This book was very well written. Of course there is lots of sex as well.

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher and Netgalley for an honest review.

4.5 Stars!

Splendor by Janet Nissenson beautifully combines the essences of Cinderella and the iconic film Pretty Woman into a romantic romance. The two main characters, Tessa Lockwood and Ian Gregson truly have nothing in common, with the exception of loving each other with lust, honesty, and integrity. Ian was born into amazing splendor and has worked very hard to continue to build on his family's core business of luxury hotel ownership. Tessa's childhood was replete with instability, a mother with mental illness and homelessness. This story is enticing and tragic simultaneously, and proves without a doubt that fairytales do come true.

Overall, this is a wonderful story and all the characters are well-defined and likeable. The plot moves at a steady pace and I was hooked from the very first chapter. The sex scenes are hot and Ian's alpha tendencies are perfectly executed. Tessa and Ian in and out of the bedroom make quite a team. I am looking forward to reading the other books in the Inevitable series.

Tessa Lockwood is in her early 20s and has already been married for a handful of years to her journalist husband, Peter. When the opportunity arises for Peter to go to work for a freelance news organization, and Tessa is able to transfer to a different position in the company she works for, they find themselves in San Francisco. Tessa had been working at the Gregson resort in Tucson, but has been transferred to the company’s US headquarters where she will be working on a team with five other people that support the top executives for the company, including the big boss, Ian Gregson. When Tessa meets her new boss for the first time, she can’t help but develop a crush on the rich, powerful, handsome man. But of course, not only is Tessa married, he is way out of her league.

Ian Gregson is quickly approaching forty. He is tall, dark, and handsome, and also very, very single. There are no prospects for him to settle down with anytime soon, though he’s often seen with a different woman on his arm at every gala and gathering he attends. He’s far too invested in his career to worry about settling down, that is until Tessa steps into his office. He is instantly smitten with her, but upon learning that she is married, he knows that nothing can ever happen between them. And oh yeah, there are those pesky non-fraternization rules between company employees (especially when management is involved) to deal with…the rules he made.

For two years Tessa works for Ian without incident. He doesn’t task her with anything that will ever get Tessa close to him, for he doesn’t want to tempt himself having her near. Tessa had a really rough go of it growing up. She’s the only child of a bipolar mom who died in a house fire at the age of sixteen. Tessa’s marriage was one of convenience and while she and Peter had been married for nearly seven years, there was never really more than a best friend level of love there. Peter spends most of his time away from home on assignment, so he finally tells Tessa that he is ready for a divorce so that she can be free to go and live the life that he deserves.

Tessa is crushed, but when Ian finds out that she is a newly divorced woman, he sets about a plan to seduce her and finally be with her. They have their challenges and Ian has his work cut out for him, as Tessa is a very broken person. She has been poor nearly all of her life, at times homeless, but has trouble accepting help from others. She has no education other than a certificate from a community college so she constantly berates herself for not being able to live the type of life her gossipy co-workers do. She struggles to make the rent and wears thrift store clothes. She keeps to herself instead of making friends with others, as she is embarrassed with her current situation.

Splendor is a romance novel. There are no real twists, turns, angst, or suspense; it is simply the tale of the beginning of a relationship that is seen as taboo to some, and the way that relationship plays out. If you prefer angst in your books, or love triangles, this is not the book for you. Splendor is a very sweet tale of a couple that has to endure several hardships in order to make their relationship work. There is no cheating, despite Tessa’s marriage.

There is no doubt that Ms. Nissenson is a great writer. By the end of the book I felt as though I really knew the characters of both Ian and Tessa, however there were many themes that were revisited again, and again, and again, that the book really became a lot longer than it needed to be (it is a LONG book). We know that Tessa is beautiful and has the most amazing rack of any woman that has walked the planet. We know that Ian has gazillions of dollars and would do anything for Tessa, buying her anything her heart desired. We know that Ian is much older than her and he has insecurities as such. There was a lot of redundancy that could have been removed yet still not have affected the plot.

Another thing that really bothered me about the book was the incessant brand name dropping of what every character wore. It honestly got to be way too much. We understand that Ian shops at Neiman Marcus, we know that is a high end store, we know how much the clothes cost, we don’t need to know the designer and what collection they came from. It detracted from the message of the book.

I enjoyed the book and if you’re a fan of romance (especially May/December), you likely will too. This is the first book I have read by Ms. Nissenson, and although it is the second in a series, it can be read as a standalone without having read the first. The main characters from the first book do make many appearances in this book, but it really is not necessary to have read the first. This one was a solid four stars.

Gosh. I feel like I have been waiting for this book even though I didn’t know what I was looking for, or what it would be when I found it. Well I guess I found it in Ian and Tessa’s story.

This book is so passionate, hot, erotic and sensual but most of all it is Romance with a capital R! What a breath of fresh air to read about a relationship and love without all that angst and game playing that is so typical in books today. Now I’m not saying I don’t do angst because I do but sometimes you just need a book that makes you feel all squishy and warm inside and makes your heart happy. This is that book.

Tessa is a young twenty two year old married woman who, well let’s say has not had the best start in life but she doesn’t suffer the small stuff, she just gets on with living and supporting her journalist husband Peter. Tessa and Peter’s marriage is not a typical marriage but that is all I am saying but I will point out there is no cheating at all in this story. As you read all will become clear but the joy for the reader is in the evolvement of the story.

Ian is the managing director of his family worldwide hotel business, which takes him off to various countries and cities across the World. At thirty-seven he has had his fair share of women but mostly what the gossips see is not all that he is. But everything changes for Ian when his PA, Andrew, introduces him to the new management support colleague – Tessa. His world as they say will never be the same again.

I really love and adore Ian. Yes he is a gorgeous, sexy alpha man, totally controlling and doesn’t suffer fools etc. But he is so loving, sincere, honest and kind. His external beauty is reflected on the inside too, a beautiful soul. He has no past ‘mommy or daddy’ issues, in fact he comes from a well loved and respected family and they are so, well, normal.

The part when Tessa and Ian first get together after working in the same building for two years was so hot! I was hooked to the kindle with mouth gaping and drooling, chanting OMG, OMG! I am so going to try that with the printer cartridge! And for those still worrying about cheating and her husband Peter, don’t worry. All is sorted and clear by this part. But I won’t spoil it – you just have to read this.

The relationship was beautifully developed and kept me enthralled to the very last page. The interaction with the secondary characters just added to the gorgeous love story evolving. I had not read the first book which some of the characters are from. After reading this I downloaded the first book as I wanted more of this author. I totally loved this and can’t wait for novella which is kind of like an extra-long epilogue for Ian and Tessa. I want to see what happens next, no I HAVE to see what happens next.

So if you are a true romantic and are looking for a beautiful romance about love, understanding and deep joy then this is definitely for you reader. Five wonderful romance stars. Splendid!

Wow, Splendor is one of the hottest reads I've had this year. It was fun, simple, sweet, sexy. It's refreshing compared to the angst-filled books I've read lately and it's a very nice change. The characters were charming as hell and I fell in love with their intelligence but also their amusing antics. This book had the drama, the humor, the love that we all crave.

It was really good. DAMN GOOD. The sex was hot. The connection was hot. The drama was hot. EVERYTHING WAS HOT.

Ian's character was fantastic. He was broody and mysterious but then because the author gives his point of view as well, we manage to understand and empathize with his feelings. All the jealousy, excitement, LOOOOVE. And he was sexy as hell .

He get sweeter and sweeter and sweee... [swoon]

He wanted her with him constantly – living in his home, sleeping in his bed, travelling with him wherever and whenever he had to go. But, instead, he continued to experience the frustration of not being able to betray his feelings for her – not while she was still a married woman.

Ian can also be funny at times.

BUT, Ian also had his faults just like any of us. He mentioned repeatedly how he was older than her and WE GET IT ALREADY. Dude, get a grip. She loves you. You're a sexy older guy and you've got plenty of stamina to keep up with her sexual appetite. Trust me. And the way he calls her these nicknames like "darling girl" makes me feel like he was talking to her daughter, which got kind of creepy.

Tessa was also very impressive at first because she's this independent woman who's on the right path. She came highly recommended and she was intelligent despite her background. Peter's relationship with her was also awesome to be honest.

But the development of Tessa's character could've been done better in more detail. It was a bit too rushed when they started having sex because she went from inexperienced and innocent to full-on sex goddess. Yeah....no.

Overall, the book was fantastic though. I loved it!

I was not very convinced by this book at first, I liked the synopsis, I thought I might like it, but I wasn’t very sure. I decided to read it, thus the review…

It’s been quite some time since I read this book. I wanted to wait for a while so that I can reanalyze the evens and the characters , but then life got in the way. I am a sucker for this type of books. I cannot help myself from reading every good love story I can get my hands on.

Ian is a great character. He is kind, smart, a true gentleman. I would say a true British gent, but I have been living in London for almost year and I think I still have to meet one. So I am gonna leave it a gentleman. Ian is everything a true man should be. He is perfect, he is so perfect that it is too perfect to be true. At first I did not notice this part, or at least I might have over looked it because I loved the book so much, but after careful consideration I reached the conclusion that Ian being so perfect is not a good thing. It makes the book much less realistic. It destroys credibility.

Tessa is kind, caring, shy and scared. I understand where she is coming from and I admire her for trying to become someone, to succeed and lead a nice, comfortable life. I liked her, but at times she was too mousy for my taste. She was way too scared and shy. At other times she just let loose. That was not the main issue here. It was acceptable. I can’t pretend and say I understand the life she lead, not do I want to.

Things were going great, but towards the end a lot of stuff did not make sense. No, that’s a lie. They were connected with the other events in the book, but some scenes were simply absurd. They were a bit too much and destroyed everything. I am really glad that only happened in the last few pages.

In conclusion, I loved this book as a beautiful love story, but I do not consider it a masterpiece in any way. A beautifully, amazing read, but that;s about it.
