A new this year AR that was enjoyable. The writing moved the story along and the heat was hot.
The dialogue and scenes between the H/h sounded real.
I did have some confusion at a beginning that drops you into a scene with a dead body, a man standing over it with a gun, two young people who were kidnapped?, and a young woman caught up in it. It all straightened out into a good story of street wise and street person, Rue, who is always on the run from any emotional entanglement and Maxim, a good guy/bad guy, who won’t let her go. It was a good scene when Rue finally ran to him. 😍

what are the characters' ages? appearances? i really don't think these things are too much to ask for. i had NO idea what to envision when i read this. and who even are these characters?? they mean nothing to me. their story is lifeless and devoid of any meaning at all, because we get absolutely no information about them!

i don't understand why the authors bother writing this anymore, when it's clear they've given up. is it just a cheap cash grab relying on the Alexa Riley name? is it just written by AI now? ugh.
