O fanatismu

Fanatismus bývá popisován jako čistě psychologický nebo sociální jev. Autor ve své knize ukazuje, že tento přístup k pochopení fanatismu nestačí. Je třeba podívat se na tento fenomén také z pohledu teologie. Teologické systémy, jež vedou k fanatismu nebo ho podporují, mají přes všechny své rozdíly jeden společný rys, jenž podle autora představuje samotný kořen fanatismu: jsou to teologické systémy, které odsunuly Boha stranou a na jeho místo postavily vlastní omezenou představu Boha, již uctívají jako modlu. Fanatismus je vyhoštění Boha, jakýsi zbožný ateismus, který o Bohu nepřestává mluvit, ale ve skutečnosti se bez něj velmi dobře obejde. A takový fanatismus, kdy si člověk udělá Boha z přikázání, z posvátného textu, z tradice či bohoslužby, hrozí nám všem a týká se i našeho náboženství.

About the author

Fr. Adrien Candiard, O.P., is a Dominican friar of the Province of France, currently based at the Dominican Institute for Oriental Studies (IDEO) in Cairo. He holds a Ph.D. in Religious History and Anthropology from the École Pratique des Hautes Études in Paris, with a dissertation focused on Ibn Taymiyya.
His academic research concentrates on classical Islamic theology (kalām), with particular attention to the Hanbali tradition and its legacy. He is the author of several scholarly articles and books, and he regularly lectures on topics at the intersection of Christian and Muslim thought. In addition to his academic work, he is also known for his writings on spirituality and his public engagement in interreligious dialogue.

Un libro che si legge in poco tempo ma che lascia tanto nel cuore del lettore che sappia star davanti alla riflessione che Candiard fa, sempre in maniera molto libera e sincera, guardando alla propria esperienza. Perché il fanatismo, questa piaga che occupa i giornali, che ci fa sobbalzare quando ne sentiamo parlare, in realtà è qualcosa di molto profondo, che nasce da un vuoto, piuttosto che da un pieno, da un vuoto che, come ben sottolinea l’autore, è riempito dall’idolo. Ma chi di noi è esente dal coltivare idoli con i quali riempire i silenzi e i vuoti di cui spesso è fatta anche la nostra vita?
Lettura non banale e molto attuale.

Salut les poussins ! Je pars pas gagnant avec ce Livre vu que je n'aime ni les Taiseux (Sans dialogues) ni les « Non fiction » mais bon quand j'ai aperçu ce petit ouvrage court je l'ai sélectionné car il serait excellent pour ma culture générale dans les domaines qui m'intéressent… Voyons ce que ça donne…
Petit exemple « (…)'être poignardé dans la rue quelques heures plus tard par un autre musulman qui avait vu dans cet insupportable « Joyeuses Pâques » une provocation méritant la mort. »
L'auteur nous explique avec beaucoup de sagesse quels sont les mécanismes qui légitiment la violence à l'intérieur la tête des extrémistes, si tu ne fais pas ce que Dieu te demande (à défaut de pouvoir le comprendre !) c'est-à-dire l'aimer et lui obéir (…) ne supportent pas qu'on ne soit pas comme eux.
Alors est ce qu'on a tous le même Dieu monothéiste ?! … Prenez les paris.

Leeré todo lo que pueda de este autor. Me fascinó otro pequeño ensayo sobre la libertad cristiana. En este aborda las raíces del fanatismo religioso como una falta de Dios...y no su exceso.
