When my groom-to-be leaves me standing alone at the altar, I only want to escape. So I pack my bags and sneak out of my parents’ house in the middle of the night. But instead of going to a larger human city, I turn north, toward the orc lands.
I’ve heard enough about orcs to know they treat women well, and I want a husband of my own - one who won’t run away but would cherish and love me instead.
But now two orc blacksmiths want to claim me, saying I’m their fated mate.
Morg is young and handsome, a charming man whose every touch ignites a fire inside me. But Torren, an older orc with more experience, gives me everything I need, making me feel safe and loved from the very first day.
I should be happy to have either one of them - but what if picking only one will ruin all our chances of happiness?
Her Orc Blacksmiths is a full-length spicy orc fantasy romance in which the heroine doesn’t need to choose between her two heroes, and the heroes develop a loving relationship of their own. It takes place in the world of the Bellhaven Clan and has a full happy ending. You’ll enjoy this story if you like cozy romance vibes and size difference issues (times two).
After being stilted on her wedding day Jasmine decides to follow the path of a few of her friends and winds up at the Black Bear Clan. Upon arrival she meets and is recognized by two of the orc blacksmiths, Torren and Morg. As Jasmine starts to get to know both men (orcs) she realizes that maybe theres more to this fate thing than she had originally anticipated.
Having one fated mate is unbelievable but two seems to be even more tricky. Both Torren and Morg have to put aside their differences in order to not only care for Jasmine but to care for each other. The way these two immediately became what Jasmine needed and support for each other was such a sweet and heartwarming story. I could not get enough of the three of them. And the bi awakening twist???? Was not expecting that but I WAS HERE FOR ITTTTT
"What are you thinking, love? I would like to know what has you smelling like that so I can do it again and again."
How does Zoe manage to continue to give us such cozy, spicy orc romances?? When I heard she was doing an MMF in the Black Bear Clan series I was so excited, and it didn't disappoint!
Not only do we get to read our human FMC, Jasmine's journey into the orc world, but we have a romance between the two MMCs as well. Their relationships were so cozy and sweet but man oh man are those orc males sexy! I hope we get more from them in future books!
If you love sweet and spicy orc romance where the mmcs are supportive, consent kings, and total cinnamon rolls then RUN to read this now!
Sweet MMF story! The two males are rivals and then both are mated to the same FMC❤️ Such a sweet book of their falling in love, and their exploration 🔥 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Torren and Morg were fighting like cats and dogs and started a love triangle with poor Jasmine. I liked that Jasmine decided to ditch her fam and look for true love in the orc lands because that’s what any smart woman would do. Gotta get one of them hunks of love. If she wasn’t already prepared for what the start of a mate bond looked like, the MMF thing probably would’ve been a bit much for a novella. They had a sweet and fast love story.
Spice: 4/5
Triggers: child emotional neglect and manipulation, jilted at wedding, mild violence, discussion of murder, estrangement between parent and child, pregnancy
This was sweet but way too rushed. This was a short novella that desperately needed to be longer. I really liked all 3 characters and the plot had really good bones but everything was just to rushed and nothing had time to develop. Which is a super bummer because it was almostttttt there. Just need a little more/ little longer and it would have been a 4 star book. People just don't fall in love that fast or get over animosity/annoyance with each other that fast either. I would have liked to see Torren and Morg explored more in depth and a scene with them hooking up.
This was sweet, and good enough, but def dropped the ball a little because this could have been great
I absolutely adore The Black Bear Clan series and was very excited to see that @zoeashwood was branching out into poly relationships! Jasmine is jilted at the alter and decides to take her chances in Orc territory. Instead of finding one adoring mate, she gets two! Unfortunately they can’t stand each other, can Jasmine bring her two mates together? Check out Her Orc Blacksmiths to find out!
HER ORC BLACKSMITHS was sweet and spicy and I loved being back with the Black Bear Clan. It was also cool to see a fated mates pairing featuring 3 people and I liked seeing how Jasmine, Torren, and Morg worked through their issues. While this is technically MMF the MM content is pretty mild and Torren and Morg are definitely more focused on Jasmine.
This just felt super phoned in for what should have been an extra indulgent orc romp. Main character is giving nothing. The orcs involved have seemingly no difference besides their age and the emotional maturity that comes with that. The smut scenes were good for what they were, but it's like eating icing without the cake. Kind of disappointed because this is the one I was most excited about.
No me escondo.
The day this author stops using the word "pearl" cant come soon enough.
The story itself is fine, the characters too but its too short and rushed. Is it entertaining, sure, for a little bit but due the poor plot developement the book falls flat.
Second Read: Ahhh the audiobook is even better. 🫠🫠🫠
Y’all… I read this book as SOON as it came out. I tried waiting for the audiobook but I was too impatient so I read the E-Book. This re-read, I listened to the audiobook. Gosh… it was perfect. I just really wish we had the double penetration scene on page. It’s okay though, every scene was still a threesome. I have to say, I’m very happy and content with my new refreshed memory of this trio. 🥵

First Read: 6⭐️s. By far one of the best romance book I’ve read so far this year. I loved the cozy vibes and the spice definitely took the cake for me. 😂🤭
Surprisingly, there wasn’t a moment during the spice where all three of them weren’t involved. I expected some exclusivity even a little but there was NONE. And how that plays out you’ll half to find out yourself. ☺️😉
AHHH! I’m in love with these characters so much, I’m going to miss them! 😭😭😭
I read the E-Book and now I REALLY want the physical copy!! 😭😖😫 (Edit: I got the physical copy 😈)
(⚠️WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!!!⚠️)
Quotes & Notes/ Reactions:
(Page. 41): They’re enemies, after all, and likely cannot even follow the idea of… sharing me. So why does the thought of keeping them both send a rush of warmth through my body?
(Page. 45): at least for another day, I’ll get to pretend I can keep them both. [Nooo!]
(Page. 72): I like doing what feels natural and right, and if that means kissing this orc to within an inch of his life, maybe that’s exactly what I’ll do. [🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣]
(Page. 80): “I made the sword that killed one of my best friend’s entire family.” [How is that your fault?]
(Page. 107): “Then let’s get him.” I gaze at him. “Now?” He grins. “Aye. No time like the present.” [The context! 😂😂😂😂😂]
(Page. 108): “Torren will take one sniff at you and try to murder me, probably,” Morg says conversationally”. [As one does I’m such a situation. 😂😂😂]
⭐️(Page. 111): They have become inextricably linked in my head, and trying to move foreword with one while ignoring the other seems impossible. [THANK YOUUUU!]
⭐️(Page. 120): I shiver at the sensation then glance down to see that the linen cloth is smeared with pink, the proof of maiden hood, gone. [He took her virginity with his FINGERS????]
(Page. 135): Dawn swipes some drool from her baby’s chin. “I want to spend more time with Arvel.” [❤️❤️❤️]
(Page. 143): “One day, we’ll fuck you just like this,” he promises. “In the dark, so you won’t know whose cock will fill your pussy.” [That better not be an empty threat-]
⭐️(Page. 153): “Whenever it happens, our children will have two fathers to take care of them.”
(Page. 166): Torren and Morg set aside years of bickering and competing to love me, and in doing so, they grew to love each other, too. [They always liked each other they just didn’t admit it until now. 😏😏😏]
⭐️ - I’m in love with these characters so much, I’m going to miss them! 😭😭😭
So a testament to the writer, I didn't think I'd continue with the series without a dual POV. But I did and I enjoyed it! Only complaint here is the shying away from the MM. The MMCs relationship isn't really addressed, and the smexy times with them is mostly alluded to and then talked about at the end without Showing the good stuff.
I have loved all of the Black Bear Clan books, but this was definitely my favorite. It’s a MMF love pairing, with mild MM action as well, but definitely more focused on the female. I adore reading stories where the FMC learns to overcome societal strictness about sexuality and embrace her own desires, whatever they may be. As always, I get all the good vibes & steaminess from these books and this was no exception.
Antagonistic coworker get forced by fate to sit down and shut up. HEA. Standalone or In Series Order. Recommend Her Orc Mate as prologue. Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ ½ 4.5/5: Romantic erotica with multiple explicit descriptive sex scenes, low on adventurous behaviors/kink. MM Tropes: Love Triangle, Age Gap, Bi-Awakening, Alpha Males, Fated Mates, Size Difference, Scenting, Cultural Differences, Single POV Setting: Medieval fantasy towns & roads, Underground burrows Subplots beyond the main & romantic plotlines: Learn about the daily workings and jobs held in the burrow. Character Jasmine: Kind, Amiable, Considerate, Innkeeper’s Daughter Character Torren: Protective, Antagonistic, Disheartened, Older Blacksmith Character Morg: Protective, Combative, Caring, Younger Blacksmith Best Library Research: Explaining the collection of samples an entertaining read.
Note: I aim to honor the author’s hard work for their books I complete, by accentuating their strengths while refraining from negative critiques.
I just want to hug this story against my chest so I can absorb it into my heart, that is how much I love this.
screams into pillow Jasmine is living my dream life and I am so jealous. She gets two wonderful orc mates and I have to choose someone HUMAN? Criminal injustice, I tell you.
Their first time together was just beautiful. And the epilogue? The final dot to wrap things up perfectly.
The first why choose I've read from this author, and I liked it a lot. I categorized the romance as mfm, but there are some definite mmf vibes going on too. I wouldn't mind seeing more of these pairings in this world (hint hint ;) ).
Okay, this DID slay. Only 150 pages but I felt like there was still good character development and relationship building. A very cute, relatively low angst read.
It was a cute, fast read and a little steamy but the author had an opportunity for a hot MMF, bisexual threesome and wasted it. We were teased it like three different times and it didn’t happen.
After Jasmine is left at the alter by her arranged marriage husband, in favour of his true love, she decides enough is enough. She packs up her meager belongings and takes her horse into orc territory, looking for her two friends who settled at the Hill and are living quite happily with their husbands. Fast forward to when she's there (which doesn't take long on page) waiting for her friends in the common dining hall when a brawl starts between two males. Turns out they both scent her as their mate.
Torren and Morg seem to not like each other. Ever since the younger Morg went to work at the forge, where Torren was already working, they have done nothing but bicker and fight. So when they both scent Jasmine, it's another fight. They wait by the door of where she is staying to apologize...and suddenly there is little to no bickering? Anyhow, Jasmine offers to 'date' them both separately...which lasts less than one date each before that is thrown out the window. And then she can't see herself doing anything with one 'male' without the other???
My Thoughts
I got a few.
First, how is it that these two guys have been fighting with each other for over a decade (like one time some fellow orcs had to call the king to get involuted cause they couldn't get them apart while they were brawling) then suddenly their 'female' shows up and Torren just like "haha, just kidding. I was only fighting with him because I find him, secretly, attractive, and he sometimes pushes sore spots with his verbal jabs? Uh, no. I can't really believe that.
Secondly, I know it's the whole 'fated mates' thing, but in this book, more so then the others, I find it really hard to believe that such a sheltered woman would just flip a switch and be into two guys. Like, I'm gonna kiss and 'sleep' with both of you type into, you know? It's very out of nowhere. Just like the 'males' suddenly not bickering at all cause Jasmine is there.
Thirdly, I have reached my limits of having the clit referred to as "her 'pearl." Every. Single. Time! PICK A NEW WORD,PLEASE!!! Also, how the hell does a clit stretch?? Sounds painful.
Fourthly, thumb and middle finger circle for girth...maybe my hands are a lot smaller of something but...that's it??
Finally, if you thought 'oh something different! Gonna read some MMF' No. No, you're not really. Sure all three of them are there for the horizontal tango, but only two every really participate and it's pretty vanilla, all things considered.
Conclusion
Little to no plot. Magical fixing of a relationship between two rocs who seems to loathe each other. Insta-love all round. Disappointing spice, especially when you have a whole world of MMF and you go for MF-spectator basically. Getting tired of the word pearl... This one was a complete miss for me. Will probably be getting rid of this one.
Series: Bellhaven Clan #6 Rating: 4 stars - It was really good
When Jasmine is left at the altar she decides to do something drastic. She escapes in the night and heads towards Orc territory in the hopes of meeting her friend. What she doesn’t expect is to instantly find herself mated to two different orcs who don’t really get along.
This was an interesting one because we have a fated mates pairing featuring three people. Torren and Morg are the clan’s blacksmiths and they are constantly butting heads. When they meet Jasmine they instantly start fighting over her and it takes a while for these two to sort out how the relationship will work. I liked that we get to see these three building their relationship and how the dynamic will work between them. I also really enjoyed how Jasmine was able to help these two talk about their feelings instead of just fighting.
While this relationship was very fast paced since it is a fated mates, we do see a lot of discussion about what they want and how they didn’t want to hurt anyone's feelings. I really just loved how open these three were with each other from the beginning and how it made them a strong couple in the end. This was just a very sweet and very steamy triad and I really liked all three of them.
Overall, I really enjoyed this one. Torren, Morg, and Jasmine were all great characters and made a great triad. I also enjoyed that we got some resolution with her family even if it was only part of her family.
I loved this installment in the series. The characters from previous books return briefly and help interconnect the story. Not as much world building as some of the others, but since it's fairly established I appreciated the heavier focus on backstory for the characters. The character development, and relationship building between the MMCs and FMC is wonderful. I can honestly say this book made me feel joy. The respect and autonomy that the MMCs and their clan give the human females are what is needed in more books of this genre. The flow of the story is wonderful, as is the writing. The spicy scenes were 🥵 - done just right in my opinion. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
I generally read authors like Victoria Aveline series, Presley Hall, Hattie Jacks, Grace Goodwin, and similar authors writing in this genre. Zoe Ashwood has been added to my list of favourites. I had initially started this series not thinking I would be into it, but still wanted to give it a try because I wanted something different - lower stakes, spicy, with a story I could get pulled into, and this definitely delivered. I also got the audiobook and the narration is wonderful too. I switched back and forth and could easily fall back into the story from one to the other.
There are some books/series that are read once and never again. This one I can see myself revising many times.
This is Jasmine, Morg, and Torren’s story and what a beautiful amazing take it is. All Jasmine wants is to be married loved and have a home of her own. What she got was jilted on her wedding day and a family that put their son above all else. So she left to seek her future husband elsewhere. Torren is an older Orc he carries past burdens with him but he longer to find a mate and was sure he'd never be blessed with one. All he has is his blacksmith job a young partner that drives him to distraction and his clan. Morg, is young , impetuous and often impulsive. He means well but often says things without thinking. He loves working with Torren but want more out of life. When both he and Torren recognize Jasmine as their mate all Hell breaks loose. Will Jasmine have to choose? Can Morg and Torren work together instead of against each other to love a mate neither thought they would ever have? You have yo read and find out! It spoil good you won't be sorry! One of the best Orc series out there! Highly recommend!🌟💖🔥🌟🌟💖🔥🌟💖🔥🌟💖🔥🌟💖🔥💖🌟🌟💖🔥🌟💖🔥
