In Bellamira's Chains: A Dark FFF Omegaverse

Rate this book
I never expected to find an Omega like me, labeled broken by the rest of society, but when her lot came up, I knew she would be ours…

An Omega was only useful for one thing, producing Alpha heirs, servant Betas, and Omega breeders like themselves. But when you were born like Hazelle, unable to do the one task they demanded, you were cast aside and sold to the highest bidder.

But not before they broke you.

Her old Alpha used her as if she were an unwanted toy, not a lovely little pet, one who now devoted her life to me and enjoyed every bit of pain and pleasure I inflicted.

After all, I was the only thing that mattered, and my collared pets loved me for it.

Will Hazelle find her place beneath me and my Beta, or will she shatter, showing the world they were right to deem her worthless?

I don’t mind sapphic omegaverse, but when a book is marketed as FFF omegaverse and then throws in two MF scenes—one purely sexual and the other involving sexual assault—it’s a big YUCK from me

The bookish firsts are very important to me. And this was my very first, very cautious first with poly Sapphic romance. And thanks to the author's captivating writing and love for details, it won't be the last. She has created a dark Omegaverse world of harsh contrasts, cruel, hostile realities and a rigid social system where money, position and family standing are of utmost importance for one to live well and enjoy life. But not all are that lucky and the plot is built exactly on the injustice, pain and suffering such glaring difference exists between the castes. While some are pampered, doted on and taken care of from birth, provided with carefully chosen bonds and mated into the right families, others live on the other darker side, where they have nothing. An example of that is receiving a living, breathing being as a present, because auctions where people are sold, are a normal part of life in the glittering darkness of this world. There are some sensitive topics woven into the heavy emotional canvas of this story - slavery, infertility, body autonomy, lack of personal boundaries. The author has done amazing job in blending the beautiful and the ugly aspects of life into something so undeniably heart breaking. One big plus to me as a reader was the way the characters were presented on page - not picture perfect but with all the flaws they have. In this world were Omegas are valuable only as breeders, Hazelle is useless for her society because she is deemed "defective", not being able to fulfill the only duty the cruel world wants from her. After a life of pain, humiliation and mistreatment, she is sold to the highest bidder.
And here come the highlights of the story that is built on the strong foundation of being given a second chance for better life without impossible expectations; a healing path and loving hands that promise pleasure, light and happiness; learning to trust and stand up for yourself. There is always, always, always one But though. And the author has masterfully brought the shadows of reality into what was supposed to be the light. Every written word is a stark reminder that despite the good intentions, Hazelle was bought after all and her body autonomy is restricted, laying heavily onto the choices of her new mistress - Bellamira and her sub, Elera by proxy.. And these choices may lead to mistakes. Hazelle is still toy, whose cage is just upgraded to a better status, a bird, whose flight is restricted by the bars, surrounding her new life. I loved the sharp edges of this story, the intricate play between dark and light; the way hope soars just to be shot down and drown in the toxic reality of what Life actually is.
The poly aspect of the relationship is developed not on an even standing with all the participants which makes the book even more interesting to read.

In another book in her Omegaverse, Bellemira is Adira’s cousin and another alpha. She has been with her beta, Elera, for a decade. They have the perfect relationship, and Belle wants to give her a present to honor their relationship-an omega. At the auction house they wait until the last woman is up for sale. Her name is Hazelle. She is tiny, beautiful but gaunt. They let it be known she is infertile. She is perfect!

Belle, Hazelle’s nickname for her alpha, defies convention like Adira. She is not a harsh and cruel leader. She cherishes her pets, spoils them, with a firm hand. She is very rich and has a few close friends she trusts with her pets. Hazelle was forgotten and treated harshly by her past owner. It will take the combined efforts of Elera and Belle to bring her out of the slump she finds herself in.

Hazelle is flourishing slowly in her new life. Finding a new normal is not easy. When she realizes certain things are still expected, she will have a reminder of what position she really holds. Thankfully, a couple of other alphas will show her things can still be good with others at the parties they attend. Then, something will happen that will shake the very foundations that this group of people has built over time.

This is a FFF book primarily. The relationships explored have Sullyn’s trademark writing abilities that takes the reader into a whole new world where anything is possible. She writes realistic relationships, feelings, and scenarios. The feelings come forth from the intensity of her writing. I love the way she is able to have her characters show their flaws and weaknesses but are yet still loved and revered. The tragedies used are enough that it will make the reader angry and want justice.

Sullyn ALWAYS delivers books of the highest caliber. I always wait for the next book like I am a kid in the candy store. I devour the book within hours of it dropping on my kindle. If you have not yet read any of her books…go to Amazon and purchase a series. You will not regret it!

⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 (3.5 stars)

In Bellamira’s Chains is a dark FFF omegaverse short story that explores themes of survival, trauma, and reclaiming one’s voice in a world that systematically devalues you. I appreciated the central message—overcoming abuse and learning to assert your identity—and found the found family dynamic particularly well developed. That aspect gave the story warmth and emotional grounding, even in its darker moments.

That said, I was a little let down by the execution in some parts. While the premise hinted at an intense emotional journey, a good portion of the story focused on introducing side characters, presumably from previous or upcoming works. This made it harder to fully connect with the main arc, which felt a bit rushed at times.

Also, for an FFF story, I personally found the sapphic content to be quite minimal. Instead, there were two MF scenes which, while relevant to the plot, didn’t work for me and slightly disrupted my engagement.

Overall, this was a compelling read with a strong core concept and a powerful message, but I wish it had stayed more tightly focused on the central emotional journey and the FFF relationship.

This story is set in an Omegaverse but the characters are not how you would expect from the usual OV, the female Alpha's have 'appendages', and there is more of a ownership vibe to the relationships. In this story we meet Bellamira and her pet Elera, Bellamira has decided to buy Elera a gift for their 10 year anniversary. This is how Hazelle come to join their dynamic. But Hazelle has been through lots of trauma with her previous owner and is, understandably nervous about the new expectations on her.
I enjoyed watching Hazelle heal from her past with the love and affection that she was shown, and all I can say about that ending is-I'm looking forward to the next story and hoping he gets his just desserts!

Hazzel's new life

Bellamira purchased Hazzel for Elera as a gift for their tenth anniversary. Hazzel was put up for sale by her Alpha Orsos because she was infertile, and he had no use for her after letting his friends abuse her.
Bellamira is also infertile and purchased Hazzel for Elera as a pet. They were determined to show her that not everyone was as cruel as her former Alpha.
Hazzel is learning to trust her new Alpha and life again when something happens that not only rocks her world but also her Alpha and betas.
Can they learn to get past this and find their happily ever after?
This is an FFF read that's a must-read.

Bellamira chains

Was very pleased reading this. I loved the characters and their designations and how this omega was broken and still accepted. She learned that she is valuable to the ones who purchased her. I loved how she was given freedoms she didn’t have before and the tasteful steamy scenes. Such a beautiful story except for that part with a horrible alpha but not even that could change how much she loved bellamira and elera.

Sullyn never disappoints! Once again she's written another masterpiece. I'm so honored to receive an ARC copy of this book. The hell that pure Hazelle experienced in her life as an Omega before Bellamira bought her was horrific. This book will hit you in all the feels and leave you with a smile on your face. I loved every word of this book and I highly recommend it.

Second Chance at Happiness

Great story with FFF in it, a story of finding happiness. Healing is a process that needs time and patience. Be aware of content and triggers as it’s a hard ride for some.

I loved Hazelle’s courage and resilience.

Great to see Adria and Nyla again.

Alpha Bellamira buys an omega, Hazelle, for her pet Elera, a Beta. Hazelle, who suffered past trauma, learns her value and is loved and cared for in this spicy FFF read. I really loved the characters and their relationship.

Disappointing, felt more like a travelogue of food menus and fashionable clothing. For a supposedly ff story there seemed to be more mf action.

Honestly this was not my favorite book. It was quite slow but the detail and everything was so good! I just wish that it was a little more faster paced.
