3/5⭐️ 3/5🌶️

This duet is my introduction to Sadie’s writing, but I am unsure if it will be my last. I’m not even sure where to begin. I gave this duet three stars because I feel like it has potential, it just wasn’t for me.
I think it needed to have an editor go through and remove some of the repetition as this duet could’ve definitely been made into one long story and it probably would have ended up flowing better.

I had an extremely difficult time relating to either main characters. We don’t get any insight into Olivia’s past while she was in college dating Jeff and her friendship with Madison. We don’t get any insight into Roman and his past and why he didn’t have relationships.

I can get behind an Insta lust story, but this is Insta love on a whole different level. Both are so unrealistic in how fast their feelings develop (or don’t develop and just happen). Their relationship is so fast paced.

After they run into each other Ollie is adamant that she can’t be in a relationship with Roman when he asks her out because he’s her boss and landlord (surprise). But a couple days later she does a 180 and goes on a date with him and then sleeps with him right away. She has no willpower or backbone and she’s just seems completely immature.

We’re at 64% before we actually are told that the age gap between the two of them is almost 18 years. Roman makes a comment about her not caring about their age difference and that she just cares that they have things in common. I’m not sure what they have in common, except that they care about each other.

Ollie & Roman break up at the end of the first book because he accuses her of something but instead of talking about it she freaks out and leaves and that’s it. When they get back together and are making out in the car on their way to work, Ollie is embarrassed because Miller is there. But that same day after work Ollie does a 180 and they have sex in the backseat while Miller is in the car. It just completely contradicts where her headspace is at.

ARC BOOK REVIEW

This book was even more perfect than I could have ever imagined it to be. I loved reading every second of it, and I physically couldn't stop reading it. Push and Pull used to be two separate books until the author Sadie decided to have them as one. In my opinion, that was the best decision ever as when I finished the first part, I immediately needed the second, and it was right there.

I loved the plot for this Duet so much the whole first meet which was a disaster and then finding out that the mystery man Roman who she had bumped into was her new boss and owned the business she was going to be working for, to then having Roman absolutely pining over Olivia and simply begging for a chance for them to be together. I will be honest I did not expect Roman's character to act like that, but I still loved every second of it.

The story had many bumps along the way, but I enjoyed the fact that they were all resolved in quite a good manner compared to some books that make you want to scream at the characters. I loved Olivia's and Roman's relationship, and watching it grow in the book was so perfect.

I always love reading Sadie's books, and I can't believe I had not read this duet before, but I am so glad that I have now. Everything about that book was perfect, and the only thing I want is to see more of the characters in their lives together and how all of the side characters are doing. The book had amazing writing and just flowed so nicely and easy to read, and the plot, like all of her other books, was outstanding per usual.

Here's the thing no matter how many times I have read this duet by Sadie I still love Olivia and Roman! They are two of my favorite characters written by Sadie! This time these two were so helpful in pulling me out of a book slump which if anyone could of done it I'm glad it was definitely them!

Roman Devereaux the hottie billionaire boss man who is smitten with Olivia since the moment he lays eyes on her and spills her tea on her shirt. He doesn't necessarily know how to walk away from what he is feeling for her and as much as she tries to deny their attraction there is just no stopping it at all. This does have a slight age gap element to it but don't let Roman fool you any he knows what he wants and he wants Olivia.
Olivia is way more guarded after seeing a guy she thought she could be with be with someone else, she was very guarded and unsure of how she should feel for Roman. But when she finally lets him in the chemistry is off the charts.
Now don't get me wrong they do have their moments to work for their HEA but Roman is definitely an Alpha male and will do anything to make his girl see the beauty of their relationship and just how much groveling to make things right again.

I absolutely adore this couple and everyone should give this duet a real chance!

Tropes: Billionaire Romance, Workplace Romance, Age Gap, He falls first, Miscommunication, Open Door Romance

I’m newer to Sadie’s work but I liked the concept behind Push & Pull, who doesn’t love an age gap/billionaire romance? Their first meet was quite cute and watching Ollie’s and Roman’s relationship develop was an interesting and turbulent ride.

I especially loved reading the dynamics that happened between the side characters and our main characters too (Cade, her mother, Madison and Raymond) I think I may have liked watching their relationships develop a little more than Ollie and Raymond’s if I’m honest.

The downside was I found it was pretty repetitive. Ollie was always running away from her problems and though I don’t mind miscommunication, this overdid it a little. I definitely felt like there were quite a few scenes that could have been removed as it felt like the same scenario, just written differently. There was also no background on any of them until close to the end or just randomly thrown in, which had me unable to connect with the characters.

I definitely wouldn’t say it’s a bad duet to read, because it’s spicy and some of the scenes had me blushing! But something to be aware of going into it.

- Billionaire romance
-Workplace romance
- Age gap
- He falls first, and hard
- Miscommunication

I am so glad that this book contained both stories in this duet otherwise I may have thrown my tablet after the first book ended!

Roman...what can I say about him? This man knows what he wants and has no issues going after it. And he wants Olivia..

Ollie and Roman have a maybe not meet cute in a coffee shop. Ollie is rushing out because she sees her former boyfriend with another woman. Ollie thought they were going to be reconciling. Roman pretends to be her boyfriend for her to save face.

Ollie is mad at herself for not getting Roman's number..but then finds out the next day that he owns the company she just started working for! Roman doesn't seem to think this should stop them from seeing each other, but Olivia needs this job and doesn't want to jeopardize it.

Eventually, she decides to date him and the chemistry is absolute top notch! However, when her former boyfriend tries to cause trouble, with the relationship survive?

Push & Pull by Sadie Rose is an engrossing tale of love, secrets, and the challenges of starting anew. The story follows Olivia Monroe, fresh out of college and living in a new city with her best friend, hoping for a drama-free fresh start. However, a chance encounter with an attractive stranger quickly turns her life upside down. As Olivia navigates her precarious new beginning, balancing work, love, and a secret she’s determined to keep, readers are drawn into her compelling journey. This omnibus edition, combining both books of the Devereaux Duet, offers a steamy, billionaire, forbidden romance filled with intense emotions and complex characters. Sadie Rose's evocative writing and well-paced narrative make this four-star read a must for fans of contemporary romance. While the drama is sometimes overwhelming, it adds to the story's emotional depth, making Push & Pull a thought-provoking and captivating experience.

This is book 1 in the Devereaux Duet and obviously ends on a cliffhanger, but it's worth it. Olivia and Roman bump into each other in a coffee shop, literally. It's Olivia first day on the new day which she laters finds out is with Roman. They had instantly chemistry but certain things stood in their way. Again, book ends on a cliff hanger, and having already for book 2, this duet is worth it.

Pull starts off a few weeks after Olivia and Roman’s break up. Olivia is struggling to move on after being accused of using Roman for his money. It’s hard for her since she works for Roman’s company and he keeps trying to reach out to apologize. Olivia is also dealing with a jack ass ex on top of everything else. Will Olivia be able to move on from Roman or will he be able to fix their relationship after realizing he f*cked up?

I waited so long for this second book and it did NOT disappoint. Go check out this duet & support a new indie author in @sadieroseauthor

Roman and Olivia's story was a great read. Roman's a tech billionaire and Olivia is just fresh out of college. On the first day of her new job she has a meet cute with him at a coffee shop. At the time she doesn't know who he is. Until she gets to her job and sees he's the company's owner. At a night out with her bff she runs into him again. He asks her out, but she has doubts. She does like him, but doesn't want him to think she likes him for his money. Or that she was given her job because she's dating him. Not only that but she's hiding a secret. They start to date in secret. Then he decides he doesn't want to hide anymore and wants everyone to know he's with her. While everything is going great her ex comes back into the picture and tries to ruin her relationship. I couldn't put this book down. I now need to read the next book.

This is the rom com that all other rom com’s wish they could be. Absolutely delightful read for me. I love how this is a combination of both books. I loved that there was a definite end to book one and even though book two continued on, it was a seamless transition.

Olivia and Roman, together are perfection. There is that magnetism between them, hence the push and pull 😉. Their worlds are drawn together, the age gap for these characters was never an issue, as love conquers all.

It is quite a journey to get to their happy place, secrets and lies, miscommunication whilst doing what they believe is the right thing to do to protect the other.

I really enjoyed this novel and I hope that Cade gets his own story, that would be fascinating.

I enjoyed their meet up story and how attentive the MMC is. I do wish the characters had more growth in the book and that the FMC wasn't quite so immature and ran whenever something went awry.

I do believe one more trip to an editor for some punctuation issues would really improve the readability of this duet. There was also a redundant sentence and a few word issues (home rather than him, anyone rather than anything) that would help as well.

This duet is full of drama and a few trials and tribulations before Olivia and Roman make it to their HEA.

Olivia is fresh out of college and keeps running into Roman, who is immediately taken by Olivia from the first time they meet. He asks her to go out on a date with him but she turns him down, as he is her boss and also her landlord. She has walls up due to her previous relationship but once she starts letting Roman in, the chemistry between them is off the charts.

I am not a huge fan of Insta-Love, but this one works! I love the way Olivia and Roman meet, it is what drew me into the story, even though I knew where it was going. I enjoy the fact that Roman handles his business and is open about his feelings. There was chemistry, angst, but it was the side characters in this one made the story for me, between Madison, Raymond & Cade, Olivia had an outstanding support network.

Roman has been smitten with Olivia since the moment he first laid his eyes on her. Olivia has been burned before though. She’s fresh out of college , in a new city living with her best friend. Chance encounter looked hopeful though … but there was a slight hiccup when discovering he’s her boss…A brilliant will they won’t they billionaire meets woman with a secret not for sharing… great writing , immersive and fun and that’s a fact . I’m leaving my review voluntarily in my own words .

The combination of the Push & Pull books in one! I love this. Olivia and Roman had an incredible journey but they made it!
Finally, they get exactly what they both yearned for! I fell in love with these 2 in book 1 and now I am just so happy they do get their HEA!!!

I really enjoyed reading this and Sadie does an incredible job with each of her characters!

wow, i was hooked on this book from the beginning to the end! it as realistically written and i even read it during my tea and lunch breaks at work!
Olivia (Ollie) could be your girl next door, while Roman is this billionaire on his white horse that rescues her from her ex, Jeff.
I am not going to say more, as i don't want to spoil the surprise waiting for the next reader.
JUST READ IT!!

I absolutely LOVE this duet! It is exactly what I needed right now.
It is totally chock full of all the feels. Roman is Olivia's landlord, PLUS her BOSS!! Yet Roman is enamored right away and asks her out to which she declines. She has all her barriers up due to past experiences, but she still cannot stop thinking about him.  She decides to start letting him in a little bit at a time and OH BOY, look out!! They are absolutely combustible!
Will she take the chance? Will they actually be able to work through everything? You will need to read to find out!

This is a story of deep love, insecurity, misunderstandings, importance of good communication, second chance, and a nasty yucky ex. Sadie gives us richly described characters and locations, good friends and strength. This is a fast paced, slow burn, hard to put down emotional journey for Ollie and Roman. Enjoy.

I loved this! I read these both when they were 2 separate books. It's Olivia & Roman's story. I loved it! *This is an updated review for the omnibus*. She moves to a new place for a fresh start & meets him. And the sparks fly! Great rom-com story! I recommend this book & author!

Roman and Olivia had me from their first meeting. I absolutely loved them. This story was not lacking in any sense. Sadie knows how to lure you into a book and you forget everything around you and just can't put it down.
