Secrets and truths, lies and red herrings… which is which? That’s what Pandora’s trying to figure out. Ever since the death of her best, and probably only friend by her own hands, she’s not sure who to trust anymore. The Priest is dead. The Gray Man is… she’s not even sure what. Luc, well, Luc is Luc.

The Order has sent her deep into the heart of Mexico to investigate a potential zombie uprising. She arrives at the start of the Dia de los Muertos festival—a celebration for the dead and immediately things don’t feel right to her. For one, bodies (the living kind) keep disappearing. They’re not being kidnapped, no, if only things were that simple. Literally there one second, gone the next, she’s not sure what to make of it. On top of that mum’s are floating all over the place. Is that merely symbolism associated with the festival, or is it a clue of something far more sinister?

In this explosive sequel to the USA Today Bestselling, Crimson Night, an old ally returns and a shocking truth is revealed. One that will turn her investigation into The Order’s duplicity on its head and make Pandora question everything she ever thought she knew…

Marie Hall is a USA Today Bestselling author and has always held a dangerous fascination for creatures that go bump in the night. And mermaids. And of course fairies. Trolls. Unicorns. Shapeshifters. Vampires. Scottish brogues. Kilts. Beefy arms. Ummm... Bad boys! Especially the sexy ones.

Then the day came she realized apart from the sexy bad boy she married, there'd be no vampires/shapeshifters/mermaids/fairies/or even stinky trolls in her future unless she wrote about them. More often than not she can be found roaming the wild, lush tropical forest she calls her backyard (a.k.a. Hawaii) and day dreaming constantly about her latest project.

Her Mad Hatter is the first book of her Kingdom Series.

She loves to hear from her readers and can be reached at mariehallwrites@gmail.com!

I loved the first book in this series, and this second book didn't disappoint.
Again, we are following Pandora, the demon who's sin is lust. However on her trip to hell in the last book, she also picked up another - pestilence, which shes trying so hard to control.

The Priest shows up, and the relationship between him and Pandora begins to move and its a great relationship to watch evolve. However, his kind kill demons so the others at the carnival are a little less trusting of him.

Pandoras visit to Grace (the contact to the Order) reveals that "hives" of zombies are around and need to be seen to.
This is an understatement.

Especially when one plain night at the carnival, hoards of zombies attack without thought and viciously. This isn't right. This isn't the MO of the regular zombie.

Again, Pandora is seeming to be the target and she has no idea why.
Signs are left everywhere to let it be known its Pandora that they're after.
Grace ups and leaves and tells Pandora to do the same to keep her safe....

Will the whole carnival up sticks and move for Pandora?
Her relationship with Luc has disintegrated since her visit to hell, what on earth will he think? And he doesn't trust the priest at all.....
Whats with the unusual zombie activity?
There is normally only one person they take orders from and that's the Queen. But will Pandora be able to find her? Will SHE hold some answers?

Another really great read, i totally recommend it. Yes its demons, but its showing them in a totally different light and its fascinating and unusual perspective.

Trust me, you wont regret reading this series if paranormal is your thing!
Just be sure to read the first book "Crimson Nights" first so you are clued up with the rest of the series!

Next please Ms Hall!!

I received this book for free from Author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

My Initial Reaction…
I fell in love with Pandora back in Crimson Night and I’ve been anxiously awaiting this next installment of her story ever since. I was lucky enough to do a beta read and still snag an eARC! *giddy dance* All Hallows Night lived up to my incredibly high expectations – it made me laugh my ass of and cry my eyes out. And that, my friends, is a sign of a truly great book!

The Characters…
It’s so hard to talk about the characters because I feel like everything I want to say is spoiler territory. So much happened in book one – Crimson Night – and I don’t want to do series spoilers this early in the series. So I’m going to limit myself to a description of Pandora here and hope you’ll trust me when I say that ALL the characters are wonderfully written. I love them or love to hate them or they’re so complex I can’t decide if I should worry that I love them or not! Seriously, these characters make All Hallows Night.

Geez, I freakin’ love Pandora! She’s a demon (Nephalim) – she’s shared her body with a Lust demon her whole life and has a recent new addition that causing her all kinds of trouble – and yet she’s so human. Unlike the other demons around her, she embraces the human part of her and even though it makes her vulnerable it also makes her feel. She’s so loving and caring – the things she’s done over the centuries (we get some glimpses of her long past in All Hallows Night) made me fall in love with her all over again. But- don’t let her emotions fool you. She’s no weakling. This chic can kick some serious butt and the action in All Hallow Night lets us really see that side of her too. Add in some of the developments from the last book (which I’m trying ridiculously hard not to spoil here) and she’s one incredible package. Read it so you know what I mean!

The Story…
Again, there’s so much going on that feeds off of book 1 and makes avoiding series spoilers seriously hard. I have to say, though, that it’s one of the things I’m loving most about this series – it really truly is one big story. It all matters. You can’t just jump in midway because the mystery and complexity is building in such fabulous ways that you need to suck in every minute.

The basic structure of All Hallows Night surrounds Zombie trouble. Pandora and her carnival have been called to Mexico to find out about mysterious corpses being left all over the place – something zombies don’t typically do. See zombies are so different in this world – nothing like you read about typically. They are organized and typically keep out of the supernatural battles. I loved the way Marie wrote them and the action they produce is incredible.

The best part of the plot though is the mystery. I really never knew what to think exactly – every time I thought I knew what was up I was wrong and had to guess again. From developments with the Zombies, the Order, Grace, Mysterious guy I can’t tell you about… it’s non-stop twists and turns that keep you on your feet! It never slowed down for me – not even my second time through. That’s saying something folks!

Concluding Sentiments…
All I can really say is that this series is brilliant. The characters are so incredibly well written and the mystery is killing me. If you haven’t started it yet, you really need to. Just sayin’ :)

firstly, I'm reading this back to back from A Crimson Night, and to get the full picture, you really must read that first. although much is explained in this one, you don't get all the inns and out properly, so read that first.

Pandora is a Nephilim, part demon, part human, a hybrid of a fallen angel and a human. her demon is Lust. we also meet, Greed, Envy, and Pride in this one. After facing Wrath in Hell, taking on Pestilence, and killing her best friend and watching the priest die, she is at an all time low.

help comes from a surprising source, and she is again faced with dealing with what the Order throws at her. we learn WHY they are after her in this book, and they ain't pulling no punches here!

now, I will be honest, zombies are the baddy in this book, and I am not a fan of zombies, so was not expecting much from this but it is sooooooooooooo much better than the first book! Hall twists the zombie lore as we know it, and that makes this all the more interesting! I cant go into the story line too much as it will give the game away, but there were twists and turns all over the place. surprises, and shocks and just when it was getting to the good bit.....it ends!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! did you ever read a book, and think, to the two main characters that are clearly attracted to each other, GET ON WITH IT??? right at the end, here, and boom, it ends!! so........where's the next book?!?!?!?! I need to know that they do in fact get together and that Pandora does get her happy ending. She is dealing with a lot, and I like her. I need her to be happy...eventually!

no actual sex, although its implied and talked about, but this book is quite violent, but than dealing with zombies of any description, its gonna be, so ive rated it over 18 just for that.

5 fangs, which is one more than A Crimson Night.

I received this book from the Author and Lovers of Paranormal (LOP) at Goodreads.com for an honest review.
I am a firm lover of Marie Hall’s books so I couldn’t wait to read this book. All Hallows Night follows on from Crimson Night, after the death of both Pandora’s loves. I felt so much for Pandora as she battled with the helplessness of what had happened with those she loved and cared about, the death, destruction and betrayals. Knowing she was harbouring a new LCD made her life so more complex, yet I felt myself even more drawn to her humanity and her fight to be more than what she had to fight on a daily basis. Ask yourself, have you ever fought demons within yourself? And how many times have you just given in, taking the easy route out. But this is not the case for Pandora, who clings to the last hope of who she truly is. I was so pleased to see here breaking her love ties with Luc as he was never going to truly fulfil needs, but in saying that I must admit being one sided as I am a total sap for Ash the death Priest. I absolutely love the banter between “my little demon” and “my death priest” and waited with anticipation for when they would fully succumb to each other. The story is well written with twists and turn around every corner, never knowing who is fighting for the side of good and evil. I was totally enthralled with each character and could see their inner demon alive in each one of them. I was shocked to learn about the new ally with the zombie queen – but for some reason I find that this is only going to create a new twist of its own. I cannot wait to see what will happen in the 3rd instalment and will be desperately clinging onto the hope that what happened in the teaser could only be a dream for Dora!

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review by the author via Lovers of Paranormal.

I read this book following the first book Crimson Night and this carried straight on from where the first left off. Basically it was like reading one giant size book and what a great read it was! I have rushed through chores and meal times to get back to my reading over the last day or so, it was so gripping and captivating.

Pandora's life is never dull. As if sharing souls with a Lust demon wasn't enough she now has Pestilence to deal with following her visit to Hell. The plot leads you where you never expected and the characters draw you in, they are so well-written and believable. The relationship between Pandora and Luc is heart-warming and heart-breakingly sad at the same time, if Asher wasn't on he scene you would be praying for Luc to get his act together and for them to be together. With Asher around how could you ever want for anything other than Pandora and he to be together?! The chemistry between Asher and Pandora is great, always hot and never 'mushy', just brilliantly written.

This author was new to me when I started this series but I will certainly be looking up more of her books while I wait for book 3 to come out in August. She writes intelligently, with humour and emotion. As with the first book this book had me in tears. I also enjoyed the humour between Pandora and Asher.

Having read the two books on a run there was a silly inconstistency that bugged me but I have to say that if this book wasn't so well-written on the whole that it, and a couple of typos/errors, wouldn't have even been noticeable.

A thoroughly, captivatingly brilliant read.

The Carnival Diabolique is back! And there are no adequate words to describe how happy that makes me!

This book picks up basically where Crimson Night left off - with Pandora's world shattered and it takes her a bit to find her way back from that. But she does and finds a bunch of zombies and the love of her life in the process…

Pandora is one my most favorite book characters because she's so sassy and strong, but she also refuses to allow herself to be completely defined by her lot in life. Being a Nehpilim should demand that she be relatively heartless, especially when it comes to the human race, but she decided long ago to embrace her humanity, to wear her heart on her sleeve and make her way in this world on her own terms. And I adore her for it.

I absolutely adore Marie Hall's writing style. She can flow from an impressive, action-packed fight scene to a tender moment between lovers to a snappy argument between two alphas without missing a beat. There is so much happening in this series and she manages to juggle all of the characters and the balls that go with them with equal attention and energy so no one gets left out.

I absolutely cannot wait to see what's next for Pandora and her Carnival!

All Hallows Night ( Crimson Night #2 ) by Marie Hall
I received this book in exchange for an honest review by the Author and the “Lovers of Paranormal” Group on Goodreads.com
I absolutely love Marie Hall’s books, so I was very excited when this book came out. This is a brilliant book that I absolutely loved, so much so that I have already re-read it. All Hallows Night is the 2nd book in the series and follows the story of Pandora (the Nephalim who shares her body with a Lust Demon) who is sassy, strong of will, with a heart of gold... she is one of those characters that you can’t help but fall in love with. This book is well crafted and picks up where Crimson Night left off. The plot is excellent, and very well thought out. The style of writing is rich and descriptive and flows well, making the book an easy read. The characters are well described and true to life. This book is a real page turner that will have you hooked until the very end. If you love books with a Supernatural / romantic theme, then you will enjoy this one. I can’t wait for the next book in this series to come out. This book was even better that Crimson Night, so I am awaiting book #3 with baited breath. I will definitely be looking for more of this talented authors work.

I got this book from the author, free of cost, in exchange of an honest review from my side.

Firstly I would like to thank the author and the publisher for giving me this opportunity of reading and reviewing this fabulous book.

I really enjoyed every bit of this story and it was really interesting from start to finish and I loved the little twists that the author introduced here and there. I also liked the smooth flow of the events that took place one after the other and the combination of thrill and adventure took my breath away.

I loved the writing style of the author very much and the dialogues were crisp and easy to grasp. The characters are fabulous and I loved each and every one of them. The ending was very well executed and the suspense gave me chills.

Over all a great read just I have a minor complaint that is the slow movement of the story at the beginning but later on it picked up the pace and flowed smoothly. Enjoy guys!!!

2.75 ish really. I was really torn by this book because the plot line though thick with betrayal and intrigue is really interesting, however the whole no one will tell the FMC the truth, she "must figure it out herself," thing was really frustrating. It was like pulling teeth trying to get the information she needed just to stay alive. I was also really getting whiplash for Dora's hot/cold personality and the weird love triangle with Luc and Asher. It was like the plotline had me hooked and the characters kept getting in the way.

In this second book in the series of Night, Pandora has picked up a new demon, a parasite if you will. Pestilence. She now has to figure out how to control it and at the same time she is sent to Mexico to find out what is happening with the zombie hive down there. The real of it is Dora is not that great of a detective. Almost everything she "finds out" is handed to her through Asher or Grace or someone else, after multiple chapters of listening to them give her the run around.

I see the theme of "Pandora" needing to collect powers to be able to fulfill some prophecy that we still haven't actually heard completely yet. It seems to me she is being sent to collect our deadly sin demons. See the story would just be so much more interesting if we could just get on with the journey and stop all the character drama and get some people in there that can just shoot poor Dora straight and not give her the run around. Gah, I'm torn between really wanting to see what the author has in store for this and not ever wanting to sit through the BS again. /cry.

~Warning~
If you have not read book one then this will have spoilers for you.

OK, why?

"I don't trust you" I said that, but I was clinging to him like a baby monkey on it's mothers. back.

And then...

"Stalking shouldn't be such a turn-on for me. I'm seriously disturbed in the head."

Yes sweetie you are. She is centuries old and she does not listen to her better judgement for one moment. I kept expecting everything to go down the tubes but well....she is one lucky chick.

She is in the middle of one serious love triangle and she just keeps skipping out of every near death experience she dances with because they come to her rescue. GIRL grow a back bone and tell both of them to Foff!

I still like the idea of the story but Dora, Pandora, 'little demon' just made me want to slap her around a little bit.
I honestly think I like Luc. Yes things are bad and he apparently but at least he does not have dimples that make Dora melt every other page.

In this book we are fighting zombies. Not my fave monsters but they added just enough creep and danger to keep me reading. There were a few epiphanies that shed some light on the issue but I was kinda left feeling:

I would have liked this book so much more if I had been able to make a connection with Pandora, but I just couldn't.
She was a tough kick ass half demon what cried all the time and could not listen to her own survival instincts whenever 'dimples' was in the room.
I wish you luck with that but I don't feel compelled to read the next book. I just can't take one more googly eyed dimple smile.

As usual, since the series isn't finish yet, I'm reserving some of my judgement until I read the end. As far as All Hallows Night is concerned though, I cannot wait to dig deep into the book right after I finished readng Crimson Nights. Marie Hall has made me look at the seven deadly sins after reading books one and two of the nights series.

I am torn as to what to feel about Luc. I am dying to know of what really happened between him and Pandora. I feel sorry for him when the priest - Asher/Billy came into the picture. He mayact like a big ***hole sometimes but I felt that he genuinely care for Pandora. And as early as now, I felt sad for him for I can clearly see how bad this story will turn out for him.

Asher/Billy on the other hand, do know how to make a woman feel special. Granted that Pandora was not your normal kind of woman being a nephilim and all I can help feeling all romantic with the things he was ready to do for Pandora. Although I must admit, I was bit weary of trusting him during the beginning too. But I guess he has proven his worth as he literally went to hell and back for Pandora's sake.

There's a lot of question and anticipations for the next book that I know waiting for it to come out will not be easy. But as I have enjoyed the journey with Pandora as well as the other Neph and Asher, I would be glad to look forward to it. There are still lots of characters and persona that needs to be unveiled and get to know. And because I am yet read any fantasy and gothic book that is flawless, I admire the author's effort for the research she must have went through to make this series as good as it is and as believable as her world of nephilims and other goths came to be.

Favorite Line “Pandora, we play a dangerous game. One wrong move and it’s over. Do you understand me?”

“Out of one toxic relationship and into another, it seemed a curse I was doomed to repeat ad nauseam”

“I have found the paradox—that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only love.”
I smiled. “Mother Teresa.”
His hand slid across my shoulders and down my arms. “That is how I’m built. There will only ever be one for me. I’ll worship you, I’ll give you all of me, little demon, I’ll even kill for you. But only if you can do the same.”

“Some wounds never heal,” I whispered back at him.
“This one will, little demon. This one will.”
And it was in that moment, in that room, that I allowed myself to fall in love again.”

“I know this won’t last, nothing good ever does. But for tonight… it was enough.”

Pandora is kick booty! I love her! Luc has always rubbed me the wrong way and now I know why! What a jerk he is! In walks Asher oh yes! I love Asher!
Finally Pandora has someone who will love her. I hope he doesn't let her down like so many have in the past. Marie Hall always writes great stories that make you swoon over the love that shared and this story doesn't disappoint. This demon family loves hard and fights dirty and I JUST LOVE IT!
The Order and Triads are out to get Pandora because of a prophecy. A prophecy that they will do anything to stop including sicking zombies on her family. It's just a mess! Through it all though Pandora and Asher hold strong! I'm hoping they stay that way!!!!

All Hallow Night (Night Series Book Two) takes up right where the first book left off. In the wake of the devastating loss and betrayal Pandora experienced in Crimson Night, she and the Carnivale Diabolique are sent to Mexico during the Dia de los Muertos festival to check out a possible zombie infestation. In the course of the investigation, new friends are met, new enemies emerge, and even more twists and turns are introduced into an already tricky situation.

I would definitely recommend reading Crimson Night before diving into All Hallow Night. Although clues to events from the previous book are peppered in, new readers will probably still feel out of the loop as the plot progresses. This series involves a lot of twists and turns, so those who don’t start at the beginning may find themselves tangled up and lost along the way.

I still find the characters as interesting as I did in Crimson Night, even more so as they are fleshed out more and we get more insight into the half-demon inhabitants of Carnivale Diabolique. There’s less sex and more sensuality in this book than its predecessor and we see a shifting in relationship dynamics as new bonds are made, broken, or exposed.

All in all, I’m intrigued by the new dynamics and the plot twists that have been revealed and introduced and I can’t wait to continue on with these characters and this story in book three: Howler’s Night (due out in August 2014).

I received this book in exchange for an honest review (Lovers of Paranormal).

Wow...this book... I'm still in a dreamy state of mind... I can't even put into words what's in my mind.
What we thought was truth....was a bag of lies. Everything's confusing and a mystery. Asher is the sweetest, cutest, hottest piece of man ever known. But he still stays a mystery. We'll hopefully know the truth about him and his story in the next book. Needless to say, though, I love him. And I hope he won't make Dora suffer, or I'll personally kill him with my own hands. She's such an amazing woman. I like her a lot.
Luc.... well, let's just say I wasn't a fan of him in this book. And I'll probably never be again. I kind of liked him a little in book 1... Now he's just annoying and kinda creepy. I can't explain. It's a feeling I have. He kinda scares me too.
The queen... I don't know what to think about her. It seems like we could trust her, but... I don't know. I have doubts. I don't trust her. And she's creepy. We'll see in the next book.
So, now I'm seriously confused, I have a hell of a lot of questions with no answers, and everything's looking kinda bad for now. And I see it's gonna get worse in book 3. Lucky me I have it at the ready. Gonna start reading it soon.
One thing i must say.... I MISS SANDMAN! I want him back! :( I loved him! He was such a cutie! <3

I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the “Lovers of Paranormal” Group on Goodreads.com

Pandora continues her story and things are not looking good. Her relationship with Asher is warm and loving, this is what she has always wanted. Asher is amazing, his love for her is beyond words and the way he speaks to her is so romantic. Luc is troubled by this relationship but he doesn't seem capable of the complete, deep love that Pandora craves. I think he loves her but I don't think it's something he can admit. The one thing Asher and Luc have in common is that they both are willing to lay down their life for her.

I am not a big fan of zombie stories but this was different then I expected. I like the way the zombies were described and what they typically acted like, until they were forced to turn into something fierce, disgusting and extremely dangerous.

Pandora is feeling betrayed by Grace and has no desire to trust her again, she would rather see her dead until she learn's even more secrets about what is happening.

This story is fast paced and I like the format used to tell the story in first person. I am enjoying this series very much and I am looking forward to the next book.

I LOVED this novel! This is the second book in the Night Series and has proven to exceed my expectations! It picks up right where book one left off. Sassy Pandora is facing an endless emotional turmoil: the grief of killing her BBF, Grace's deceit and the strong feelings developing for a Death Priest.

Book two shows her arriving at the Dia de los Muertos festival—a celebration for the dead. Once there, things don’t add up. Living people begin disappearing right in front of her and huge hives of zombies begin to attack people, then her carnival. She teams up with the Death Priest and Luc to try and stop the zombies, while hoping to discover The Order's intentions with her, which seems less than favorable.

I undoubtedly love this author. Her writing is descriptive and fast-paced. I couldn't wait to find out what happened next - why the zombies were on the hunt, who's The Order, etc.??!!??! Marie Hall's tone is perfection and the plot is flawless. Her magic with words makes it easy to breeze through her books.

I'm very impatient, having to wait until August 2014 for book #3! I recommend this series to anyone who loves all things paranormal.

All Hallows' Night (book2)
By:Marie Hall

I like this book a little better then the first because Pandora and Asher love story. Pandora is a niphilim (half demon and half human) and Asher is a death priest( born for one thing only, to kill niphilim). They both fall in love but fight for there lives as zombie start to attack Pandora niphilim family. Even tho Asher is meant to kill niphilim , he would do anything to keep Pandora safe and find who and why there are "people" that want her dead.
This book has it all , niphilim , priest , zombies, and other supernaturals.
If you like paranormal books then this is for you. :)

I received this book from Lovers of Paranormal (LOP) and the author in exchange for an honest review. As always the opinions are my own and not "bought" in anyway.

This is the second part of the Night Series, and let me tell you, it is just as good as the first book. The characters are bold and complex. The details and descriptions are breathtaking and stunning, and above all else the emotions are so powerful! This novel allowed me to experience, happiness and sadness, angst and anger. All of which I actually look for in a book. One that I can pick up and instantly get lost in the story!

Can't wait to finish the last one!

This was sooo good! I loved it! It was so captivating and I kept wanting to read more. I like how it combined different paranormal/fantasy aspects into a carnival like scene.
The drama between Pandora, Luc, and Asher was confusing and I don't know who I like better. (It's sad, though how Dora Luc's relationship is so strained and seems to be fading) The little teaser from Howler's Night was crazy! I totally didn't see that coming and I can't wait until it comes out.

I'm really starting to love this story!

I purchased this series because it was written by Marie Hall, and I've enjoyed many of her books. I could tell from the description that it would be a little darker than the books I usually read, but decided to give it a try anyway. It is a bit dark, since the main character is a nephilim -- half-human, half demon, and her demon is one of the seven deadly sins. I have enjoyed the series immensely so far, because Pandora is such a likable character and the plot line is fascinating.

The series is written mostly from Pandora's perspective, but also sometimes from the perspective of other important characters. Because of this, the reader gets to see a character's thoughts on everything they encounter. Pandora is a fascinating and complex character -- sometimes hilarious, sometimes very dark, sometimes very violent, and sometimes very caring and good. My favorite part about her is that she is capable of love and goodness, because her human side truly tries to control her demon.

The other characters are also interesting and well-developed -- some are likable, and others you love to hate -- but all of them are complex. The story does include a romance, but the romance is not the main plot.

I didn't like this 2nd book quite as much as the 1st one, simply because it is darker than the first. I did still like it, but it is darker and more violent than the books I usually like to read. It also doesn't have as much humor, since Pandora is facing a serious threat to everyone/everything she loves.

The story is fast-paced and packed with emotional scenes. Some are quite violent, some are painful/sad, a few are funny, and some are confusing. It held my interest right up until the end, and kept me guessing at what would happen next.

This book does end on a cliffhanger, which usually bothers me, but I didn't mind this time since the book was so good. I have already started the third book in the series, because I can't wait to see how everything is resolved. But if you really don't like cliffhangers, you should avoid this series.

If you choose to read this series, you do need to start with the 1st book and read them in order. Marie has created a very complex world, so each book contains a lot of world-building and character development. I think I would have been really confused if I had tried to read the books out of order.

My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

By now, I am very interested in Pandora, her death priest and her Nephilim family. When they go to Mexico to investigate rogue zombies, things get out of control, really fast. Who can you trust? Who is playing you? How can Pestilence act as a good guy?! This is an excellent adventure, continuing right from the first book, leading right to the third.

All of the feels

Almost cried because of Kemen and he is dead. Pandora is dealing with so many trust issues and two demons and two men who want her. Plus all of these things are trying to her so now she is putting her family in danger. So much drama and I love it.

**I received this book in exchange for an honest review (LoP or Lovers of Paranormal) Goodreads.com**

Woop woop, in this book I found myself cheering for Pandora- in my head- as she comes face to face with yet another challenge that broadcasts her supernatural ability to kick ass in all the right ways. In short I loved this book.

In this book Pandora finds herself facing the ultimate decision between a man she barely knows yet feels connected to or a man she's known her whole life who can't give her what she wants. We come face to face/ fist to fist with zombies who prove to be fatal and watch how our main character reacts when more of the prophecy is unravelled and the big bad bad guy is revealed. The author yet again gives another show stopping performance which we watch Pandora deliver. I love this character, she is supremely badass and addictive to read about, I found it especially interesting to read about how the new demon residing in her body helps her out when times get tough.

Secondary characters include the priest who we now know to call Asher, Luc, and Grace. I loved the priest / Asher and he has officially been added to the book boyfriend list for his sweet, sour and brilliantly unapologetic attitude I also love the little hate on Luc thing he's got going on and his ability to still be mysterious. Luc in this book for me was a little too whiney and not badass enough, I also hated him for his love affair on the side but he is still a strong influence in Pandora 's life and she forgives him- kind of- so I'll give him a pass until I find out what he's like in book three. Grace in this book for me was very very spookily mysterious, I still haven't forgiven her for Kemen's death and I don't think she has done enough to redeem herself yet.

The pacing was great delivering punch after punch throughout keeping me glued to my kindle and turning me into the most antisocial person ever! It was consistently well written throughout and I loved it.

The storyline was brilliant giving the right details at the right time keeping the readers entertained and staying true to the original characters introduced in book one. I hope this series continues to keep me entertained in book 3 but I don't want it to end so more than 3 books please.

5 stars, I often find second books better than first and this was no exception. The storyline got a whole lot deeper, characters developed and I grew to love them even more.
