After the bomb that is dropped on Bethany, she escapes back to New York, leaving the man that she fell in love with just after a few days. But Zach isn’t ready to let her go just yet. He can’t reveal his past or offer up any answers to her questions... yet; but he knows he can’t let her go.

Zach plans on tempting her back into his life by any means necessary, even if that means getting her back into the Indigo Lounge where she can’t escape.

I enjoyed the hell out of this story so much more than I did the first book. Where High had all the sex you could ask for, Higher gives you the angst that you crave. Bethany is fighting her attraction to Zach and his attempts to win her back. This angst added to the story and gave a nice break from the constant banging that was in High.

I devoured the first half of this book, I think I got to the 50% mark in about an hour, where I was tempted to take a break or two during High. Zach understands that he has to reveal parts of himself he’s kept hidden in order to sway her, to get her to utter the words she said that night she left... but it’s not just as simple as him telling her the truth.
As he untangles his secrets from the red tape, Bethany sees for the first time that he is trying to give her what she needs in order to get her to stay. Ready to give him the time he needs, she gives in to his demands and to the demands of her own body.

I don’t think I often complain about the number of sex scenes thrown into a story, I was glad to see the that Zach had to do more than snap his fingers to get her back into his bed though. I think with the second book we got to see the story develop in a way that really opened up the possibilities for these two. I finally connected a bit to these two characters and although it came a little late, it still came.

Well, I actually liked Higher more than High. Zachary and Bethany face real feelings and real issues together rather than just blind lust: Not that there's anything wrong with that. However, you can't write hundreds of pages of smex and expect to keep your reader's eyes from crossing: And their legs, I suppose. So readers, as Zach and "Peaches" work through their fears and insecurities they're busy exploring each other's ecstatic limits.

Let's see how compatible they are:
--he's gorgeous, and he knows it
--she's beautiful, but doesn't think so
--he's bronzed and fit, swims laps
--she's soft and curvy, she runs.
--women ogle him constantly, he ignores them
--men flirt with her, but she doesn't notice
--she has a "mama bear" best friend
--he has chauffeur/bodyguard/'yes' man
--she has childhood water trauma
--he has childhood mama trauma
--she had a bad past relationship
--he had a HORRIBLE past relationship

I mean they're a PERFECT match, NO? Hey, I gobbled this up like a a Big Mac with a side of fries and an apple pie TO GO! This was lusty Fast Food...yum-may!

This sequel to High did continue from where the first book ended which helped to remember where I was left at. Zachary Savage's words did not disappoint at all though. His alpha possessiveness, dominant, and controlling tendencies going after Bethany with that mouth of his was indescribable. God the words that leaves his mouth! It was a slow start of cat and mouse until maybe about 30% where it started to get hotter. But then here comes the sex over and over flooding the pages which was starting to get overdone a bit. The "pole" scene was rather melting and jaw dropping for me though. Also, basically all of sudden, Zach tells Bethany his past even though an agreement of non-disclosure had not be lifted so I did not think it was suspenseful to finally find out when he admitted his past. I felt it was not a big surprise seeing it coming. I was still not sure the purpose for the agreement in the first place so I thought it was not as angst as I would have liked. Certain scenes on the plane I could not really imagine (the game with the screens) and seemed like they were jumping around from place to place quickly . There was also no mention about her boss, Sheena, and the job after the video conference which could have added some more suspense. It wasn't as angst as the first book for me. I was so engaged on the first book constantly turning the pages to find out what happened next while I felt this second book was predictable. His admission did not have the wow factor for me at the end. I did like their HEA but it also did not give me a "wow" factor. I did enjoy the entire story! In my opinion, I felt the first book did a lot more than the second book but I will look forward to more from Zara Cox as this lady can do Zach Savage like no one.

This book continues right where the first book ends. Similarly it has the same enjoyable elements fans liked about in the 1st - sexy alpha Zach, great chemistry, intriguing wealthy lifestyle, and enjoyable character rapport. Zach definitely has some memorable dialog in this book!

What I didn't like as much - there was almost too much sex in this book (gasp, yes, there is a such thing, lol). There was all this buildup to Zach's secret but half-way through he suddenly begins to divulge details and we wait to the end to see what was uncovered by the nondisclosure lifting and it's not much more than what we already found out. Seems like it was overly dramatized throughout the book and really was the only suspenseful component. Would have liked to see some other elements at play, maybe Chris revisits or exes of Zach turn up, etc. I also lost sight of the concept about the screens on the plane, and the game they played, was difficult to visualize. Lastly, the epilogue was short and honestly didn't end with a bang - I think it could have been forecasted a bit further out or had some more climatic reveals than what it did.

Does end on a HEA and book 3 promises to be about two new characters connected to the Indigo Lounge series. I don't think fans of book 1 will be disappointed, just don't think you'll leave supremely satisfied as I have with other series conclusions. Look forward to future works for Zara Cox.

My, oh m,y oh my,.....I love me some Savage. Zara has done it agin. It was fun to read about their chase and struggles to be together. I love how Bethany stays strong and doesn't just give in to Zach but always stands by him in the process. Great story that keeps you turning page after page to get to the next part. Great trip on the Indigo Lounge. Go take the ride.
Just sad that their story is over so soon. Hopefully we will see more of them in the next book. Maybe some more Keely. Now that girl should get her own book!!
Read this series!!! You won't be disappointed!! Great great writer.

The first 50% was manufactured drama that could have literally been solved by H telling h there was a non disclosure agreement preventing him from telling her what happened in past. He finally gives her this little tidbit at 50% and and voila no more drama. It was ridiculous that it wasn't said a lot sooner

WOW! Zach and Bethany's love story is heartwarming. I feel like Zach is definitely an alpha obsessed male. He's really my kind of man. So deeply inlove with Bethany. I also loved Bethany as a heroine, she knows what she wants and knows her self worth and value. Zach grovelled so hard in this book. Amazing!

Cami introduced me to this series and I'm so thankful she did. I had been in a book slump when she recommended it to me. Book slump no more and thank goodness the second book was already out when I read the first one because I would have been drowning in my sorrows over the cliffhanger from High, the first book in this series, which I also loved.

The second book starts off right where the first book left off. It starts with Bethany returning to NYC after the "bomb" regarding Zach's past, had been dropped on her. She is devastated and hurt and it doesn't matter that she has only known him for a few days. I believe in love at first sight (not madly in love) if the connection is there and I believe she does too now.

 photo Fotoruse040518422_zps90d4cff0.png

Zachary Savage is not going to give up on Bethany without a fight. He is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her in his life. He is limited on what he can discuss about what happened in his past and his hope is that Bethany cares enough about what they feel for one another to not give up. He is not giving up and he is determined to NOT let her give up.

"No matter how much you think you hate me right now, you’re still mine and I’m not letting you go. I never will. I’m telling you that right now so we’re both clear on the matter and there’s no room for misinterpretation. Nod if you understand what I’m saying to you.”

His past is the hold up with their relationship moving forward but Zach's hands are tied with what he can disclose to Bethany. She knows he can't disclose any of this to her so she is trying her best to not think the worst. She fights with everything in her to steer clear of him but her heart won't let her. She knows deep down that the man she has gotten to know is no "SAVAGE." But, can she live without ever knowing what happened in his past...or can she live with knowing??

"Peaches, it's only a matter of time before the whole world knows I'm nuts about you."

 photo Fotorpeaches0405193229_zps4e0bfa06.jpg

Bethany knows deep down that Zachary Savage is no monster. She knows this but her brain will not let up. Once she decides to give it a go...there is no going back...and boy oh boy why would you ever want to go back.

Zach knows that in order to keep Bethany that he needs to disclose some information about his past and once he starts seeing that she is not going anywhere, he allows her to ask him one question per day about his life. Seeing how she is opening up to him more by allowing her to ask him questions, he appears more relaxed. He is still scared shitless that she may leave him once the secret is out, but he's willing to take that chance. He will not live without her and he makes that known.

“You’re seriously deluded if you think that, baby. We’re not over. Not by a long shot.”

I really enjoyed watching Zach's and Bethany's characters develop. Even though they fell immediately for one another and couldn't get enough, we still got to experience the growth of their relationship and how they individually grew stronger. I truly felt their connection and was rooting hard for them.

I would have liked to have known more about Zach's mom and maybe seen some interaction with her. I would loved to have seen Zach interact with Bethany's parents especially when they went to brunch. I thought it was cute how her mom swooned over Zach...and who can blame her ;)

This book is a good read and I'm so glad it was recommended to me.

Higher is book 2 of 2 in the Indigo Lounge Series by Zara Cox.

I stumbled across book 1, High shortly after it was released. The lovely Kitty French featured the first chapter of High at the end of her book, Knight & Day. An endorsement from Kitty was good enough for me so I gave it a try.

I love fun, dirty, sexy, alpha books and High delivered.

[image error]high 1

That’s the first 10%. At 13% the author introduces a term I’ve never heard before. One that will have you grabbing your phone to text a friend and ask, “Is this a thing? Are people doing this?” I can’t tell you what it is, well I could, but…. it’s more amusing if you just read it yourself. Book 1 ends with a killer cliffhanger.

Book 2, Higher, starts off where High left off. Zach dropped that bomb on Bethany & shit gets real. But surely he’s going to explain himself right? Surely the cliffhanger was a tease and he’s going to resolve this for us in the first chapter? Nope. He’s not going to resolve it for us. He doesn’t want to talk about it at all, actually. Say what? Bethany, being of sound rational mind, is done.

[image error]high 3

Bethany flees and returns to New York. Zach, in typical alpha fashion, follows her. He’s still not talking and she’s still interested.

img src= high 4

At 72%... Zara Cox delivers again. I had to put the book down & google. I’m still not sure if that exists. But I’d like one. For my living room.

Zach eventually reveals his mysterious secrets, while Bethany bounces on his dick. Okay, fine. That’s not quite how it happened, but close enough. High & Higher are fun books, with amazing sex. They’re not the deepest books in the world, and I don’t think they’re trying to be. If you’re looking for quick sexy reads, these books deliver.

"Higher" is the second book in the "Indigo Lounge" series and the conclusion to the story of Zach and Bethany. Do not read "Higher" until you have read "High".

I couldn't wait to read this book and dived straight in immediately after finishing "High". After the epic cliffhanger I needed answers and so did Bethany.

The story continued a little while after the end of the last book with Bethany still in shock over Zachs revelation and wanting to know the truth. Zach, however, was unable to share anymore information with her and so where did that leave the couple? Could they repair their fractured relationship?

My heart broke for Zach, he was a wreck without Bethany by his side. His feelings for her were so strong that I was certain that he wouldn't want to hurt her or push her away. He was desperate for their relationship to work but for some reason the one thing that would heal it he was unable to do. Despite this Zach refuses to give up on Bethany.
"No matter how much you think you hate me right now,
you're still mine and I'm not letting you go. I never will."

Bethany really began to frustrate me with the way she treated Zach. It was obvious that there was a reason why he couldn't share his past with her and I was willing her to be patient with him. Bethany was breaking his heart, I wanted her to stop being so stubborn and give her man a chance to explain. I hated how she began to shut him out and truly hoped she wouldn't give up on their love.
"We're going to fuck, baby. Right now. Because I'm at the end of my fucking tether."

Zach continued to be the hot, sexy, domineering cave man that both Bethany and I fell in love with. He made my heart soar with his beautiful words and the way he continued to care for his woman. And of course it was all hot and passionate once the couple got back into the bedroom too, or any other room, or mode of transport for that matter! This couple were on fire. Bethany was one hell of a lucky lady!
"Do you feel me, baby? Do you feel how hard I am for you? This is what you've done to me...I fucking adore you for it. I live for this, Bethany. To be with you like this. Every day. Every night. This."

I loved every damn page of this book. This series is a must read. If you like your men to be rich, sexy and all alpha male then I would definitely recommend one clicking this hot little series!
Another 4.5 sexy hearts for Zara Cox's "Higher".

As I told you before, the first 'installment' in this story was all about the sex! Well, with Higher, we get a lot more than just sex. So when Bethany had the 'nuclear bomb' doped on her at the end of High she had no choice but to hightail it right on back to New York. That's where this story starts. But we have a tiny little problem, she's already in love with Zach! and yea, Zach's not ready to let her go either! So he's gonna do whatever it takes to get her back. Bethany's strong tho and she is going to fight this attraction tooth and nail!
Zach's 'secrets' are not as easy as you would think yo reveal. He gives new meaning to the phrase 'Oh what a tangled web we weave...." but he also knowns that if he doesn't start untangling some of this web to Bethany, he's never gonna get her back ....Zach is definitely going to have to 'work' for Bethany and that is quite refreshing to read in these types of stories. So kudos to Zara Cox for giving us an alpha male who has to work at what he wants and a strong female who gives him what he wants but with her terms! (read this series and you will understand better!) #PROMISE!

So I read Higher (Book 2 in the Indigo Lounge series) by Zara Cox in 1 sitting. I enjoyed High and thought it was good, but Higher was so much better! I felt in High we didn't really get to know Bethany as well and I felt a little indifferent towards her, however in Higher I liked her a lot more.

Zach is still hot, hot, hot and well, a bit HOTTER. If you like an alpha man then he will be your new favourite book boy friend. I found him a tad more over powering in Higher, however he is super hot, rich and sex with him sounds like its off the planet - so all is forgiven.

I don't like to give spoilers as you know with my reviews, but I will say that the adventure with Higher was better than High, I felt this was faster paced, there were more emotions and over all, I preferred this a lot more to High! This is definitely a series to keep an eye on, its just a shame its done in such short novellas. I would prefer to read this as a whole in 1 go, but c'est la vie - we can't have everything!

4 stars and another hot read from the lovely Zara Cox, looking forward to reading the 3rd instalment now!

Higher continues with the story of Bethany and Zach. After Zach's horrifying revelation in Marakech, Bethany returns home to try to come to terms with what Zach is.

Bethany struggles to continue with her day to day life without Zach. Trying to forget him and their short time together isn't easy for Bethany but at the same time nor is forgetting his past.

Zach is not prepared to let Bethany go though and heads to New York to make her understanding that he is not a monster, just a troubled man with a desperately sad background. Zach fights and fights for Bethany but she will not accept his apologies and the story continues with Zach trying to win Bethany back.

As expected, Higher is as sexually explosive as High and the steaminess of their encounters is off the scale. Once reacquainted, Zach and Bethany soon forget Zach's past and once again start to enjoy each other's company, as only they can, courtesy of the Indigo Lounge!!!

I really enjoyed this book! The story was great! Lots of very intense/hot moments in the book. It was a great follow-up to the first book High. In saying all of this my copy was riddled with tons of grammatical errors. If you have a difficult time reading something that has these I don't recommend picking it up, but if you can get past all of that it can be a great read.

Higher started right where High left off! Boy it's a doozy! Do we get answers, no, at least not right away. Zach is cryptic at best and that frustrates Bethany to no end. How can you love someone that is keeping such huge secrets? Do I really know him? Can I live with him not sharing his past with me? Does he love me too? But if you love someone, it's unconditional. Doesn't he understand I will still love him once I know all the good with the bad? Bethany is so confused. All those questions keep muddling her brain . Her heart says one thing, but her head is saying to be rational here. But Zach is such a magnet. She can't stay away and it's either going to be awesome or it's the worst mistake of her life. Join the rollercoaster that is Zach Savage! Hang on for dear life because his holy hotness is taking you for one heck of a ride! Higher is everything I expected and more! I absolutely loved it!

Zach Zach Zach oh Zach! He is protective possessive so dominant and alpha male in all the best ways. There is so much going on in this story. I love how these two continue to grow closer bonding to each other. Keely is too funny. I hate we didn't get to see her visit them in Amalfi as discussed. We love to have read about her hooking up with a man Zach picked for her. Farrah's story was heartbreaking but made for a great read. I know the next book introduces new characters but I hope Zach and Betheny make an appearance. How did the conversation go between Zach and her parents before they go to bora bora. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because I wanted so much more. The first book had me so enthrall until the last page as this one. However I felt like I wanted more compared to High. I still lovedddd the book and will tell others to read it for sure. Can't wait for

Wow...this was a perfect conclusion to Zach & Bethany's story.
It was hot...it was passionate...it was emotional...it was perfect!
There was a secret from Zach's past that continued to threaten their budding relationship,I loved the way Zach fought for them...for their HEA but I also loved Bethany equally...and it's not always easy for an author to devise two characters that are equally strong in their own way....Bethany fought in a very different way...she fought for complete honesty and I loved that she didn't just give in to Zach and for me this made the book perfect.
The sex scenes were scorching hot...heart poundingly so!
I loved High but this far exceeded the first book so Kudos to Zara Cox for improving on near perfection to absolute perfection for me
Cannot wait for more in this series!

I want to go HIGHER too

Zara Cox did it again. This was an awesome, amazing, soul searching story of Zach and Bethany. Zach has a pass he can not tell it's a iron clad agreement and can't be broken but that is what it will take to keep Bethany. Zach is doing everything he can in his power to over turn the agreement. An unknown source is determined to break up what Bethany and Zach have. Will they succeed or will Bethany take Zach as he is all his secrets and the power he has . This story is Hot... Steamy... and Sizzling. so be ready to fan yourself. I can't wait for more from Zara Cox. Would give more then a 5 star but that's the highest I can go. I so recommend this writer and her books..

From the author: When Bethany finds herself back on board the Indigo Lounge, this time for work purposes, she knows her life is about to once again slide into free fall. Zachary Savage has branded himself onto her senses, and despite her attempts to protect her heart she's pulled right back into his sizzlingly intense orbit of sex, more sex and dark secrets. But even out of this world sex won't save Beth's heart when Zach is finally ready to reveal the truth...

From me: 3.5 stars, good read, ends well and very strong. Zachary are very likeable characters that for the most part compliment each other. She is addicted to him, he cannot and will not live without her. A lot of the non sexual banter is just as erotic as the sex.

The continuation of Zack and Bethany's story. Oh yes it is hot, sizzling, sexy all the adjectives you can to describe the Alpha Male that is Zachery Savage and Bethany Thomas. There is drama and for a change it is not the woman's but the man's. There is intensity as to what would she do once she finally learns the truth about her man, this man she fell so hard for and could not get enough of. The billionaire who's kept so many secrets and who is a ruthless business man. I love this couple. Their friendships with others, the loyalty for each other. They rose above it all and won in the end. I recommend you read this book. If you've not read book one (1) "HIGH" you definitely need to get it as not to lose the essence of the story. Fantastic reading.

I loved the first book but this was slow. It dragged for most of the story. We really don't learn anything about the cliff hanger from the first book till the end of this story. I felt like there was a lot of time wasting with scenes that were unnecessary. I'm glad the couple got their HEA. The H was amazingly devoted, obsessive, possessive, and a total alpha. You never doubted his love for the h. I was annoyed at the insecurity over a dead woman. So the H had a person he loved before you, get over it. She couldn't even hear about the other woman's death without needing reassurance about her own looks.

"HIGHER" POTENTIAL LACKING

HIGH AND HIGHER is the first I've read of Zara Cox. I liked the story and characters, however, I found myself getting impatient during the "split-up" moments. In HIGHER, I almost stopped reading, or skipped to the latter of "split-up". Skipping or giving up on a book is a "Cardinal Sin", so I muddled through it.

I did like the business and occupational choice, and although the "billionaire status" was a given, the story was diverted to emotions and people connections / soul mates. Financial status in the story did not over-power.

Not a favorite for me, but I enjoyed the characters and how the story ended. I would give it 7.5 out of 10.

EDIT: I really liked the journey that Beth and Zach went on after Zach's revelation in the last book. Even though it messed with my emotions. One minute I was up and the next minute I was down.

Loved the fact that you got to hear from Zach POV in this book.

The only downside was I felt the ending left us hanging in a way. Hopefully Zara will at some point will continue the journey in the other Indigo lounge series, so we can find out what happens with Zach and Bethany after the ending of their story.

I would recommend this book.

Overall I enjoyed the sequel of Higher, more over the character of Zach! The depth of his character presented himself in this book and the reader truly discovered this tortured alphas soul which made this fan even more of a fan! There were times throughout the book I felt it was a bit fragmented in flow however I have nothing but love for Zara and her characters! I was pleased with the conclusion, especially that twist at the end with his ex's mother in law...Zach's secret he kept for her etc...nice one Zara. It made me love Zach even more!!

Ok....as soon as it went live...around 8:00PM...I had to have it and once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down until I finished it!!! I love Zack and Bethany! The heart wants what the hearts want and even though she tried to fight it, there was no hope, she was a goner....lol. I love that Zach fought and pusher her for what they both wanted. I hope there story continues in book 3! I just can't get enough of them!!!

Couldn't wait to get my grabby hands on Higher. I loved High but Higher was epic! Zara outdid herself. It was a great story. Zach had secrets but did not want to risk losing Bethany over. He finally faced his demons. She was strong and a perfect match for him.
Every girl should have a BFF like Keely...she threatened to kick Zach's hot ass for her friend.
Zach was hot as hell and the sex was off the charts. Nuclear level hot!!! Hope there is more to come.

Wow! What can I say other than AMAZING!!! Zara once again you totally blew me away. If you thought Zach was delicious in High, wait until you read Higher. Good grief, I had to stop and take breaks to cool off. Loved every minute of it and didn't want it to end. Looking forward to reading Spiral, Noah and Leia story in the 3rd book of the Indigo Lounge Series!
