3.5/5🌟 after seeing all the good revs on GR, this easy to get influence girl decided to try it by herself.
in short, this story is about Ivy, the heiress yang hidup bagaikan patung kena ikut semua telunjuk mak dia, Madelaine. She need to be perfect in and out. Madelaine arranged a family business marriage between Ivy and Jaden. Then heres come, Seth King with his agenda towards Hernandez family.
lets start first with what i like about this book:
1. old money vibe. dark romance vibe. english vibe. t20 vibe. indeed it was potrayed nicely without having any rempit moment thank god
2. Ivy Grace Hernandez, the woman you are
3. the build up of mommy issues and family issues in Ivy household. How she got mentally abused by Madelaine. all her scenes with Madelaine was well performed.
4. Madelaine made a very good villain with a clear motive and backstories. how she gaslight and manipulate her daughters, that was scaryshit. very the makjang vibe. only focusing on one villain and no annoying third person in relationship love it
5. Ivy and Anna sisterhood. the way they always there to protect each other. Annaise my girl deserves better🙂
6. Madelaine's ending. SATISFIYING AF. thats how you make a good antagonist's ending.
7. the writing itself, glad kena dengan my tekak.
what i despise/dislike about this book
1. pace cerita sangat lambat i almost dnf aiyooo i cant believe it took me 5 days to finish this book alone. the story pace not for weak soul like me bfr i didnt see the progression or where the story will bring me till page 300+😀 and towards the end sangat draggy stress betol nak habiskan. indeed very the slowburn plot. at least we got the details but at the same time lambat sangat pon susah jugak i felt sleepy for so many times🫠 i questioned "bila nak habis ni" in almost every chapter😭😭😭
2. the development of seth and ivy relationship was poorly executed. i tried to feel their chemistry however it was hard haha it seems so sudden at first. they barely have interaction till the half of the story whats the exact pinpoint for Ivy to fall for him? he didnt do anything for damn sake except just stand acting cold and bawak Ivy naik kereta and pakaikan kot dekat Ivy yang sejuk hmmm macam mana Ivy boleh suka i guess cinta memang butahh and i just feel their sexual attraction instead of love before they got married. kahwin pon out of nowhere haihhh
3. wattpad cringe worthy dialog. typical mafia vibe dialog that sometimes didnt give me butterflies but cringe instead. typical "beku dan dingin" haha i understand why some people enjoy reading this story but guess that im the minority here blaming my age haha yang mungkin tak boleh enjoy ml vibe mafia itali gini dah. what can i say i prefer the idea plot rather than romance itself
4. Seth's stance yang berubah ikut angin dia kadang annoying ya hmm
5. Demirez's ending. very out of nowhere💀
6. I wonder apa yang buat demirez boleh trust him? cuz its always said that Demirez is not a person that easily trusting people then what makes he really trust in Seth? and how ek Seth ada company kena urus ada masa pulak dia gi jadi bodyguard😭😭 guess peak being a rich man shshshsh srs career diorang ni tak nampak sangat pon
does it worth? not worth my time at least as you can see it took me days to finish. do i recommend? not bad but also not that good. if you despise slow pace plot, this book need to pick up at the right time

My thoughts?
1. Aku sanggup skip semua TBR sebab nak baca buku ni. And I am glad that I did. Dah lama kut aku tunggu author sambung kat Wattpad tapi dah lama dia tak update. Surprisingly dah jadi physical book untuk PBAKL24.
2. Aku tak tahu kenapa aku minat gila dengan Seth King. Sejak dari His Remedy lagi. Dan aku tak tersalah pilih. He's definitely the one 😆 I love love love him in this book! Dia tak banyak cakap. Boleh kira berapa patah perkataan yang dia cakap masa awal-awal dengan Ivy. But every action yang dia buat masa dengan Ivy tu yang buat aku screaming and squealing like a maniac 😂
3. I definitely love love love Ivy Grace as well! She's not the typical female character. She's the heiress with childhood trauma. But she's very bold. She's the one to make the first move on Seth. Which I loikee very much 😝 Masa baca scene ni reaksi aku dah macam orang sewel 😂 I love every scene yang dia buat untuk tarik perhatian Seth.
4. Annaise is another character that I like. Hubungan adik beradik antara dia dengan Ivy memang sibling goals sangat. One thing yang aku suka pasal buku ni dia bukannya 100% romance semata, ada family matters, parents issues, perebutan harta dan kuasa, revenge.
5. Apasal aku rasa macam bodyguards pak Demirez semua hesmes eh? Liam, Ren dan of course my man Seth. Memang semua aku minat lah hahaha 😂 don't forget Isaac. Aku suka bila Isaac jadi over protective dengan Ivy masa part last tu.
6. Ending dia sedihhh! Huwaaa that was unnecessary death! 😭 Tapi part last ending untuk Madelaine tu aku puas hati gila. Macam tu lah baru betul revenge! That's my King! Ni tak, typical cerita last-last semua memaafkan macam tak ada apa jadi. Boringgg.
7. I just got one tenee tiny thingg to complain 🙋🏻♀️ Aku lebih prefer kalau author tak buat diorang ada anak too early. Sebab semua buku novel melayu romance yang aku baca macam tu. Kena ada anak cepat tak tahu kenapa. Please let them be Mr and Mrs King. luaskan empayar King. Baru power.
8. Overall I super love this book! Penceritaan yang straight forward, tak dragging, English novel vibes, dan tiada isu penunggang agama. And of course it's already in my top 5 Malay books.
P/S : can I get a story about Isaac too? 👉🏻👈🏻

For me, biarlah F choose romance lovey-dovey than novel² yang hype kat tiktok. F tak boleh ngam
But i manage to finish it at one sitting. Tu yang paling penting 🤭 F payah sikit nak dnf - terasa rugi oooo duit melayang². Awal² cerita ini teramatlah slow. Slow sampai F tertidur 😅
Kisah Ivy ni kesian. Dia macam patung yang kena ikut telunjuk Madeline. Ntah yea ke tak namanya. Sorrylah.. F mengalami memory loss once I finished reading it. 🙈
Madeline ni scary woman. Fernarda sendiri takut dengan dia. Baca karya ini banyak betul twist yang F tak jangka.
Cuma F sedih bila scene adik, Ivy @ adik tiri, Anna (again F lupa nama penuh dia 😅). She deserve to get good ending. Kesian la Ren. Alahaiii biar jela orang jahat yang mati 😵💫
Relationship Seth dan Ivy ni F tak nampak sangat sparks. Macam beku je. Elok lagi Anna dengan Ren.
Ending untuk Madeline 👍 she deserve it.

takkanla buku mia bucuk ni nak kena tunggu review baru nak baca ??? cmon la, budak ni tak pandai tulis buku yang tak best. anyways, his clarity is masterpiece. im totally satisfied with the ending. i love how she explain a lot about the plot instead of only focusing on seth and ivy which are the main character. ivy is the strongest woman. she suffered a lot while being under madelaines's care. but still she manage to stand up for herself and not letting others to being rude towards her. in my opinion, she's the only one who can bear madelaines's action. she manage to survive. eventho ivy have mother issue with madelaine, at least she got demirez and isabelle who cares for her more than eveything.
but not for seth... he got neither father nor mother. he seems like a very tough and cold guy. but deep inside his heart, he's still an 8yo boy who is longing for his mother's love. he lost everything he needs in his life bcs madelaine took all of it. he has no one to tell him that he's strong. he only rely on himself. but not until seth and ivy got married.
they are completing each other in many ways. seth is always there whenever ivy needs him the most and so do ivy who is always behind seth's back. they need to be strong and stand still behind each other's back in order to survive all the pain. and they manage to survive till the end.
im so glad that seth and ivy got their happy ending while madelaine not.
overall, masterpiece. a total masterpiece. liesa proud of you mia. always and forever proud of you. i love you. thanks a lot for this wonderful story. go reach for your dream ! im always here.

Pertama kali baca cerita yang ala-ala hollywood(both non-muslim). Andddd I love the story!! 😆
Awalnya tentang Ivy yang tersangat patuh pada ‘mama’ dia, Madelaine. Suruh buat apa saja, mesti Ivy akur. Cuma satu yang dia nekad walaupun dilarang. Kahwin dengan Seth. Sejak kenal Seth, karakter Ivy semakin lama semakin berani. Si Madelaine ni pula memang mastermind punya orang. Liat juga ek nak tewaskan dia.
I tak berapa gemar watak Seth yang dingin memanjang. Like man, ya tahu you hensem macho but janganla serius sangat dekat Ivy. Poor Ivy waktu kena halau dari rumah. 👻
Dan lagi satu, sampai ke sudah berkau-aku dengan isteri. Dah ada anak pun sama. Bro Seth, hatimu sungguh keras. I sampai tak rasa sangat love feeling from him towards Ivy. Like macam mana dia boleh suka Ivy.🙂↕️

her second novel, proud of you mya bella! i’ve been waiting for his clarity for quite some time now and i couldn’t be more happy when she decided to publish the physical version. i totally understand why mya chose ivy grace as her fav character. after everything she has been through, she manages to keep going. for me, i love the build up of the story. mya did well when she focused on the plot rather than the romance. the plot is what makes this story more interesting and i was super invested. his clarity should be known and praised because of the mind blowing plot. i would recommend this book to my friends that have mommy issues :’)

what i meant when i said i like slow burn is that i prefer it between the ml and fl not a slow plot. their relationship feels flat and based on lust at first, and the pages are unnecessarily long. buttt i still enjoyed it tho. anyway this is just my opinion so if you liked the book then good for you.
