Medusa Stone, there is an evil genius living in your imagination. This book, loaded with a deep sense of despair and anguish, almost made me cry. I am following Tony's adventure from the first page of the first book and I still cannot comprehend how his simple wish for touch, belonging, love and support ended in such a helish experience. I was reading and breaking inside while Tony was losing the last pieces of his Innocence and watching his dreams go down the drain. The author says the story is nerve wracking, but I'll add that it's also mind-bending and downright terrifying. It shows how Tony continues to slide into the endless abyss of manipulation, degradation and dehumanization. This is not just a dark book, it is a painting of the hell Tony lives in and the daily horrors he must endure, created from the words of a skilful writer whose imagination knows no limits or boundaries. Each day of survival is a small victory that adds more scars and pain to his body, soul and mind, raising so many questions of whether Alexander is so worthy of this sacrifice; is it a true love or just an illusion he so much wants to be real or is his love just an anchor that keeps his sanity from shattering.
Dominic is yet another example of the fascinating way human mind works, survives trauma and follows goals built on negative life experience. For him people are just the links used for achieving a certain result- easily replaceable, discarded or moved around. And sadly Tony is one them - an unhealthy obsession and a source of something Dominic wants and doesn't spare resources to obtain.
The ending of the story gives no answers, only the foreboding feeling of more fresh horrors to come in the new installment.

Deception is Book three in the series and follows on from the cliffhanger in Book Two. Anthony is left behind in the charge of Lincoln while Dominic goes away. Poor Anthony suffers at his hands and this is the darkest of the series so far. Will Anthony survive under Lincoln's charge? I dont like to tell you too much more and spoil the book fo you.
I received an arc for my voluntary honest review for NNBB. If you love a M/M BDSm read you will like this book. Medusa keeps you turning the pages until the very end and an ending that you don't see coming. This book may not for everyone so heed the authors warnings

Deception is the third book in The Underground Series. It is not a standalone and the books should be read in order. This is a very dark part of the continuing story arc so please read the trigger warnings before starting. We continue the story from where it was in the cliffhanger at the end of book two. This book is very dark but worth it to me. If you like dark BDSM stories this book and series maybe a good fit. I enjoy the way Medusa Stone writes and am looking forward to the next book in the series. I would definitely recommend this book and series.

Man, this story is just absolutely heart wrenching. I feel shattered by Tony and Alex’s path. Lincoln and Dominic are evil incarnate. I didn’t see so much of this happening. I was caught off guard, except of course I knew whatever happened it would be dark and awful. I am starting to really worry this story might not end in an HEA! The author is absolutely scaring me with the turn of events. Watching Tony constantly battle his demons hurts so much. There is so much darkness and pain. The world the author created is full of immoral people, preying on those who don’t even realize how trapped they are. I can’t wait to read the final book in this series.

This is indeed by far the darkest and most disturbing one of the series. I thought this was the last one, but it seems there will be a fourth one.

It was almost too dark to enjoy, dark as in painful, so much despair, conflicted, and nothing good to look forward to. It was unpredictable AF, good of course but horrific.
Tell you something strange? I still didn’t get the Alex and Anthony combination, I could not feel their love or connection.
The author put me through a wringer, it was really a harsh experience. Well done!

Omg this third book certainly lived up to its hype and warnings from Medusa. I could not put it down. It was the most graphic and gut wrenching book I think I have ever read. My poor psyche was battered. Please be aware people that this is not your normal BDSM fare. There is some dreadful brutality from some individuals who are not masters just sadists. No joy and sub space for Tony. The rest of the masters who Tony subbed for weren’t your typical doms either. I am definitely desperate now for the 4 and final book. Gimme gimme!

This is book 3 in the series and you MUST read what came before or you will be lost. This whole series takes us down a dark and disturbing path that I can not put down.

Stone constantly keeps us guessing and on our toes. I don't like to give spoilers so am just going to say that I had to keep reading even when things get darker than expected. Mind the trigger warnings and enjoy the darkness!

This is the third book in the Underground series and is not at all a standalone and this is so much darker than the other two that I really suggest checking the trigger warnings. Anthony is left with a temporary master, Master Lincoln, while his master is away and this ends up being such a bad thing for Anthony.

This is the third installment into this series and it was brutal. Just as the warnings suggested. Very well written but oh so dark. Anthony is a powerful spirit who refuses to give up on his love for Alexander. His strength amazes me!

This is book 3 in The Underground Series. This is by far the darkest of the 3 books so far. It picks up with the story of Anthony and Alex trying to find a why together. This book end on a cliffhanger of sorts as in you don’t what is going to happen to the 2 MCs. Be sure to read a new trigger warning before typing into this book. I can’t wait to see if there will be a happy ending in this series.
