In a way Freya and Loki were practically the same: shattered beyond repair and unwilling to let anyone in. Except she had been given a second chance and he wasn't even going to see a glimpse of one. That's where Freya was going to change things. She wasn't going to let the Valkyries find him—she was going to give him the second chance he needed, no matter how much the former God of Mischief annoyed her.

Loki is broken and falling apart after causing Ragnarok, and now he's been exiled as a human for his sins.

Freya is alone in the world and doesn't tolerate dishonesty, she's been shattered enough and doesn't want to hurt anyone else. She understands Loki's pain more than most.

But when you're working for the Valkyries and your mission is to find the enemy what do you do when you're the one harbouring the criminal?

I’ve been waiting for this book to be published for ages, and it did not disappoint! I haven’t read many Norse books before, so went in kind of blind but I absolutely loved it! It’s funny, spicy, and a sexy god of mischief with piercings👀 what more could you want!

I enjoyed so much about this book!

I have never read a Viking romance before and as a decent Marvel Cinematic Universe fan, I thought I would really struggle to remove Tom Hiddleston's face from my head (can you blame me???)

However, instantly this Loki just feels so very right.

There were so many excellent scenes in this book, Loki & Zeus, the shed, the theme park, the shopping trip, the sun roof! Ugh, it was just so much fun to read.

My knowledge on Norse Mythology isn't great and this book takes place after the events of Ragnorok, at times I felt like I was missing some information. I would have loved to have seen a bit more of before and some further detail and background on some of the Aesir we meet. Basically I am saying I want more.

This book is all about second chances and there is some excellent dialogue about morality and choices. I enjoyed the romance between the two main characters, the twist caught me off guard and I genuinely did not know how it was all going to end.

A fab little read that packs a punch!
