Psychedelics churn up fears and anxieties repeatedly until cracks in the foundation of character are repaired. Sometimes they offer scraps of wisdom that must be pieced together later in sobriety—a discombobulated jumble to be combobulated in a more coherent state of mind. Other times, they offer clear and concise messages—insights that should be written down immediately. Many realizations have been lost in the purgatory of unremembered notions, but within these pages are fifty deep and timeless meditations, delivered in a poetic flow.

The author wants to share bits of "wisdom" from mushrooms? That is in the subtitle, which does NOT appear on the cover, by the way. These are indeed quick insights, amounting to about one per page. Some of them are decent, but a lot of them seem to be blaming someone else for what life has turned out to be. That's ten minutes I won't ever get back.
