Vex and Scottie (McKenna Walsh) have been working undercover in Aryan Brother of Texas (ABT) compound. They heard some chatter that the woman they took under their wing, Pearl Fischer, was in danger. In order to prevent anything happening to her, Vex and Scottie manage to get her out of the compound on the pretext of a meeting of the Aryan Nation in Idaho.

Since Vex and Scottie had more to do, they call in Rip to take Pearl to a safe house. Instead Rip takes her to his home on Hammer's ranch. He felt it would offer the best security for her. There was only one little problem, and that was her 'father' John Fischer had kidnapped Hammer's wife, Maeve. Rip hoped that wouldn't be an issue.

His goal is to keep Pearl safe from the Aryan's and figure out why they want her.

Pearl had always lived on the compound, she has no recollection of her mother, only her father. She shared a cabin with her father so she wasn't with the rest of the single women on the compound in a barracks. Vex and Scottie had taken her in after her father died so she still was with the others. She wasn't treated well by the other women even though she worked with them. They all had jobs to do. Only Ms. Opal treated her well and taught her to cook.

Rip first researches information on 'cult survivors' so he can help Pearl transition to the real world. She has no identification at all since that was all controlled by the men of the ABT. He is slowly introducing Pearl to the freedom she now has. Taking her riding and fishing, while also letting her feel useful by cooking and some cleaning.

Knowing the ABT is searching for her leads to them traveling to an even more secure location. Buck's ranch, The Roaring Fork in Colorado.

I really liked that Pearl took the first step towards furthering the relationship with Rip and I respected him a lot for turning her down. Not because he doesn't want her, but he wants answers to her situation and for her to heal more first.

Plenty of ups and downs in this one and more than one surprise.

I really can't wait for the new series with Rip at the head.

Talk about Ripping your heart out. What a life that Pearl had to endure and go through until she was ripped from everything and now has a small taste to make her own decisions and freedom. Rip is there with her from day one when she is faced into this new reality. He’s supportive and loving. He pushes her and challenges her to embrace her new life while discovering the secrets of her past. Those dark secrets can finally solve some of the invincibles missions with the Brotherhood. Some of your favorite ranches are seen in this book and it also helps open the platform to an exciting spinoff series. Cannot wait to get more of Heather Slade and see where some of these stories progress. Love all of her books and Rip did not disappoint!

"Ripped" (The Invincibles Book 10) by Heather Slade was a terrific read. I loved Rip and Pearl's story. This story had romance, passion, entertaining characters, action, twists, and more. This was a wonderful addition to this series. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next with this entertaining cast of characters. Highly recommend it to all fans of romance, suspense, action, and series.

This is such a well written and entertaining series. The author crosses over to some of Her other compelling series, which just adds to the enjoyment.
Rip has to be one of my favs. He is such a gentleman and so sweet to the innocent , Pearl. Pearl had a rough and unconventional upbringing, but Rip helps her make all new memories and friends.

Loved this journey of the unexpected!
Surprising feelings develop between Rip and Pearl. Neither is quite sure what those feelings involve; if it's love, lust, hero worship, or Stockholm syndrome, they just know they both feel strongly about the other from the time she was brought to him, and he chose to protect her himself.
Rip, gentleman that he is, tries to behave himself with Pearl, but it's hard. There's also the little matter of the CIA, the FBI, the Invincibles, and Homeland Security trying to shut down the whole Aryan Nation, not just the ABT branch, once and for all--and for good, this time.
Pearl has lived in this compound for as long as she can remember, where women are treated like property rather than humans. She has a long road ahead of her to integrate into a "normal" society, but Rip is more than ready to be there for her, forever.
The plethora of feels throughout are many, and my emotions had a heyday while reading. This is romance, but a whole lot of life. About understanding, acceptance, empowerment, openness, and then some. There's much innuendo and anticipated heat, with a finalé quite yummy!
The action was intense, the suspense high, and yet again, Ms Slade throws in those twists and turns, I didn't see coming, making the story even better. The humor is there, slickly, and sometimes subtly, interspersed. I'd burst out laughing, only to go right back into the thick of the plot.
A lot of known characters make appearances in here, but it is a stand alone with a happily ever after for the mains. I do recommend reading all the author's books for even more goodness! You never know, she may even throw the Cowboys of Crested Butte in a book, from time to time LoL.

Ripped is book ten of the Invincible’s Series, it’s Rip and Pearl’s story. Rip is called to meet up with one of his men in the field to discuss an issue, upon arrival he ends up with a young twenty two (22) year old woman from a communal that has known nothing other than that life living with who she believed to be her father, not remember much of her mother. Leaving with Pearl he takes her to his home where he knows without a doubt he can protect her life from the organization that believes she holds the answers to the secrets that need to be kept secret. We now become involved with the tasks of Rip trying to acclimate Pearl to the outside world which is a complete 360 turn around from commune life of ridgid and structured with the women having no say and etc. So his job is cut out for him, with having to fight off he yearnings and growing feelings for Pearl and as he senses hers in return. I really enjoyed this story. This author is one of my favorites. Story is filled with suspense, drama, mystery, intensity, danger and romance and with such care and love towards the other person. I also love how Ms. Slade continues to bring forward other charaters from previous stories, its just one loving happy family that will do anything for each other, no matter what it is. Each story grabs ahold of you and keeps you on edge right up until you turn the page and discover you are at the end and you haven’t budged at all. These stories are that mesmerizing! I highly recommend, fantastic reads. So looking forward to the next book, I sincerely hope their are more. What an inspiring, triumphant story!

Rip meets Pearl just after she's been rescued from a cult-like compound run by the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas, and at first he's just concerned with keeping her safe while the Invincibles figure out why she's in danger and what that means for their ongoing investigation.

I loved that Pearl had a strong sense of herself, even though she lacked a lot of experience with the outside world. Seeing her blossom within the emotional safety and security of the Invincibles was absolutely beautiful. Her friendship with Maeve was everything I'd hoped for.

Rip and Pearl's romance was so sweet and tender, so perfect for who they both were and it was such a joy to watch them fall in love. I also adored that we got a side trip to the Roaring Forks Ranch and caught up with both Stella and Flynn.

The investigation uncovers quite a lot of twisty secrets and surprises, and it was very rewarding to see their ongoing problems with ABT finally put to rest. I especially loved the way everything was resolved for the rest of the innocent victims. Everyone gets their HEA, and I loved every bit of it.

I'm looking forward to reading the upcoming series focusing on a new team headed up by Rip. These books just keep getting better and better, and I can't recommend them highly enough. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Ripped is the tenth book in Heather Slade’s Invincibles series. This is a romantic suspense novel filled with danger, intrigue, fantastic characters, and great chemistry.

Rip, an operative and soon to be partner for the Invincibles, meets Pearl, the daughter of the Aryan Brotherhood, when he’s asked to protect her against an unknown threat. Acclimatizing to a life and the world outside of a cult can be difficult, but together with help from Rip and her new friends from the Invincibles, Pearl is learning to fit in and blossom. Will their bond get a chance to fully develop or will a threat from Pearl’s past tear Rip and her apart? Read it and find out!

The chemistry between Rip and Pearl was evident from the moment they first meet. The couple was fantastic together and I loved how supportive Rip was of Pearl as she navigated the new world around her. It looks like Slade is setting up the start of a new series spin-off which will include Fury and Vex. I can’t wait for it!
All the books in this series contain a happily ever after and can be read as a standalone. However, reading it in order will give you a better appreciation for the characters and the series itself.

As they say, money doesn’t buy love or happiness. Health either. But some dreams do come true after all. The truth of it was I’d felt an underlying attraction to Pearl from the moment I shook her hand in that parking garage. Everything about him seemed powerful. Rather than being afraid, I felt safe. He was the flirting type, and in the short few hours I’d been here, he’d treated me better than any man ever had. I love this series.

Rip worked for the Invincible Intelligence and Security Group. He has been assigned to protect Pearl, a member of the ABT. He worried about what Maeve would think, having the daughter of the man that kidnapped her staying on their property. He shouldn't of worried. Pearl is very timid, subservient, and afraid to speak. They would have to work on that.

Pearl lived at a compound owned by the Aryan Brother of Texas. She was in danger. She has been transported away from the only family she knows. She's being protected by an incredibly good-looking man. She didn't understand his “world”. In her “world”, she was told what to do and when to do it. Now she was given choices and it confused her. “What is going to happen to me?” she thought when she went to bed.

You cannot write them fast enough!

You simply cannot write them quickly enough, Ms. Slade!
Again, you have written yet another suspenseful novel that keeps one going from page one straight to the end! And, you completely write new and interesting each time! I have read every novel you have written to date, at no time did it feel similar! Love that ability!
Rip and Pearl's story was unique, as all are, cult, Aryen ( sp?) Nation, ( part of), and finding out who Pearl is, a young woman from the cult. Who knows nothing of her true parentage or even her birthday. Let alone, her knowledge of the outside world. But, Rip becomes her protection when she is removed from the compound for her safety. From there, it's everything I expect from a Heather Slade novel.
Suspense, chaos, love, and a hea!
I loved Rip' s respect for Pearl's innocence, she is as unworldly as any cult member. But, I also love Pearl's ability after a few days to simply embrace and ask about her new world.
Frankly, I have written Manny reviews for Heather Slade, the best thing one can say, you simply cannot get enough! Always, I'm waiting for the next installment of any of her works!

Absolutely loved this one!

Rip and Pearl are a match you would never have seen coming. The rough, tough, jagged edge operator was part of the team that took down the leaders of the ABT. Pearl is the possible daughter of one of its leaders. But she isn't her father and she knows that what the ABT was doing was wrong. Now she's in danger from someone who wants to use her as leverage.

But the Invincibles are on hand and swoop her to safety in the care of Rip. I loved just how gentle he was with her. He didn't tread on her feelings, make her feel less than because of who her father was, and was careful to try and understand her trauma and triggers.

Pearl was sweetly naive about the real world but she wasn't completely out of touch. She knows what she wants and she's not ashamed about admitting it. Rip's not sure if what they feel is real or some kind of warped Stockholm/Survivor syndrome but the females in the team soon put Pearl right on how to make her point LOL.

So while there are not tons of smexy times in this book the sweet, sweet tension between these two ends in a flurry of passion. Absolute delight!

Another invincible.

This is Rip’s story. If you’ve been keeping up, he’s been a secondary character but now he’s coming into his own. He’s bound and determined to finish the Aryan Brotherhood once and for all. In the meantime, he’s taken on protecting Pearl. All she knows is life in the compound of the brotherhood. She’s never been anywhere and has kept her head down and her mouth shut. Now she has a taste of freedom. Loved the story. As usual the author gives us wonderful, well developed characters that feel real. Rip us smart and kind and protective. He’s also determined to help Pearl adjust to life outside of the cult environment shes lived in. And he’ll protect her with his life. Pearl, who at first glance, is timid, shy and scared rapidly develops into a strong and determined woman. I really liked that she admitted when she needs help and asks questions. Rip is also sensitive to the fact that everything is new to her. A great dynamic. Fast read. We also see characters from previous books but this is a standalone. Highly recommended.

Romantic Suspense

They wanted to kill her for her secrets, so Rip had the task of protecting Pearl from the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas. Why did they want to kill Pearl, and could Rip protect her? Could he bring down the dangerous cult that destroyed the lives of Pearl and many others?

When Rip took on the task of protecting Pearl, he had no idea he would fall in love. He resisted because he did not know if her feelings for him were out of obligation. Were they? Even though Pearl grew up in a cult, she was a woman who knew her mind. She did find support from women we met in previous books. It was lovely watching her bloom outside of a cult that controlled every moment of her life. As Pearl learned to live outside the cult, her secrets must come into the light. What did they reveal? As we learn Pearl’s secrets, there will be suspense, and shots will be fired. Who will remain standing? I enjoyed this story and would recommend it to those who like romantic suspense that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

The ongoing mission to take down the ABT takes an interesting turn in Code Name: Rip. Rip suddenly becomes the protector of Pearl, a twenty eight year old woman who's lived her entire life in the ABT compound. She's never been allowed to venture out into the real world and as such is as naive of the modern day world. At first she's as subservient as the come, going along with whatever is said or is happening without question. Rip is smart enough and has done his homework on how to handle cult survivors that he slowly empowers her to speak up, express herself and start learning her worth. Truth be told he's quite captivated by her. Figuring out why she's endangered and by whom takes them to the Roaring Fork ranch and back to King-Alexander ranch. The Invincibles go into crisis mode when chaos erupts after figuring out the danger. Pearl may be timid and innocent in wordly ways but she knows who and what she wants...Rip and a forever with him. He's right there with her.

The final book in the Invincibles series sees the team's ongoing fight against the cult reach breaking point. Rip, the one leading the mission, is charged with keeping Pearl, the daughter of one of the cult's members, save. As expected, this book has suspense and action galore, but it also has quiet and tender moments, not just between Rip & Pearl, but we also get snippets from various characters featured in previous books. Breaking free from a cult must be incredibly difficult, but the way the author described Pearl's reactions makes them very believable and inspiring. If anyone deserved a HEA, then her - or rather, them! And the good news for all of us fans of the wider Invincibles world: There is going to be a new team with lots of stories to look forward to.

Rip is so delicious. He is alpha but understanding with everything that Pearl needs. I’ll admit that I have not read any of the books in this series but was pulled in by my boot straps and held in it grasp throughout the whole story. I now need to go back and find out how all the other couples found each other. This story though made me think about all the ways that people live their lives. Pearl is someone that was raised a certain way and knew nothing else. She is pulled from that environment and flourishes in a way that is so exciting to see. Rip helps her along but never dictates what she should or shouldn’t do. I love that about him. They definitely have a slow burn but it is so worth every word. .

I really enjoyed reading Ripped . This story is well written and the characters are interesting and unique . Rip is a member of the Invincibles. He finds himself protecting the beautiful daughter of a member of the Aryan Brothers of Texas a dangerous Militia group . The Invincibles have been working to take the group down . Both Pearl and Ripare attracted to each other from the start . Pearl is innocent never being allowed out of the militias compound . Rip takes things slow while they get to know each other .
Soon everything comes to a head . Rip hopes Pearl will want to stay with him and start a life together . This story is wonderful. Full of love and suspense . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

Pearl has been brought up on a compound where it was run like a cult, but the leaders were hardened, ruthless gang of ex cons and associated people. Two factions warring to rule and overthrow.
Rip meets her at a handover, given into his custody for safe keeping as her life was in danger but reason unknown. The Invincibles are undercover and safety for all is a high concern.
Pearl and Rip's behaviours being around each other change, and romance and feelings are definitely developing...time will tell, patience is paying off as she blossoms but caution and choice is Rip's approach.
What is happening in the background, what and why is the threat to Pearl, serious consequences are to be considered.
Love this series.

This is a wonderful story about falling in love. Ripped and Pearl. Two people who you would never put together- Ripped the tough guy, the protector and his emotions are held close to the vest and then there is Pearl, a sweet unassuming woman born and raised on a compound where the men rule and the women obey. Ripped is tasked to keeping Pearl safe when she was abruptly taken from the compound by the Invisibles Team after learning she has been marked for death. Pearl is not the shrinking violet Ripped thinks, Pearl is a strong willed woman with a heart of gold and while she is learning how things are on the outside she also starts falling on love with the gorgeous Ripped and Ripped is captivated with this beautiful woman. This story will grab ahold of you from the first!.

What an awesome page turner by Heather Slade. Rip and Pearl from the moment there's an instant attraction between these two. Pearl has been living in a cult like environment and when she is put under Rip's watch due to being in danger, he does a great job of researching what cult survivors need. The way these two bond while trying to figure out the mystery around why the Aryan Nation feels Pearl is valuable to them, makes for some great reading. I enjoy the honesty between these two as they try to figure out to deal with everything being thrown at them. You won't want to miss reading this one.

While I started with this book in the Invincibles series I didn't feel lost by not having read the other books. But after enjoying this one so much I definitely need to read the others in the series.

I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

The conclusion to this story is epic!

To me, Rip and Pearl are a most unlikely couple. Rip working for the Invincibles and Pearl just being rescued under a mission from a compound, which is a cult. He must protect her at all costs. It’s very hard to acclimate to real life after that. This story is very informative of that life. This story is so much more than that. It is very heartfelt to the core. It’s full of suspense and mystery and danger as you would expect it to be. It’s full of love and kindness from everyone Pearl meets on the outside, especially Rip. I was immersed in it from beginning to end. That’s what Heather’s story do to the reader. Can’t wait for any book that Heather writes next. She is that good

This is the final book in this wonderful series and everything is finally coming to a head with the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas (ABT). Rip is a member of the Invincibles who along with various agencies has been trying to bring these monsters down Now he has another problem he has been tasked with caring for Pearl a female escapee from the compound who has been taught her entire life that woman are subservient He will do whatever he needs to in an effort to build her self esteem but feelings are also brewing between them Is it that she is reliant on him is it that she hero worships him or is there really something they can build a future on You will have to read to see what happens in this stunning conclusion

Rip has been one of the Invincibles and is working to bring the Aryan Brotherhood, one of his guys smuggles out ones daughter, her life is in danger. He will do everything he can to protect her from who is coming for her. He did not expect to want to keep her.

Pearl's dad is dead, when her life is danger they get her out and get her into protection with Rip. Rip makes her feel things that no other man has ever done in the past. She is not used to everyone being so nice to her. She has made friends within his circle of friends. She wants more with him but would he want her?

This is a slow burn story but it fits perfect with characters and the story.

All Pearl has ever known was the cult environment she grew up in, now her life is in danger and Rip to show her what life and freedom on the outside is like. I loved how Rip was so wary about over stepping with Pearl whilst being firm with her using her own voice and making her own decisions, while also finding it hard to resist her as the days go on. I get Rip and the others wanting to make sure that those involved in the cult are taken down as well as trying to find answers for Pearl, but for a time you are chewing your lip wondering if everything will work out and if there will be collateral damage in some form or another.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Ripped is book 10 in the Invincibles by Heather Slade. It is an action-packed, twisty book full of steam. Rip is tasked with protecting Pearl, the daughter of the cult leader. The group are making a push to take this cult down. What a story. I have only read a few of the Invincibles but I really need to go back and finish them. Excellent group who are like family.

I read the book straight through. It kept me glued to the pages. I love having the characters from the other books throughout this book. I didn't feel like I was missing anything by not reading all of the series however I plan to now.

What a enlightening story. Rip a wonderful, patient and loving man. He is the perfect partner for Pearl. We finally get the conclusion to an ongoing threat throughout this series and it all comes together very nicely. Loved the update on some of the previous characters and especially loved Pearl's character, on how everything was new to her and how we saw it all through her eyes. We all take things for granted and this story shows you the stuff you see everyday is really wonderful, but we don't appreciate it. This book made me think long and hard of what is right in front of my face. Definitely recommend this series and author.

Rip is asked to help protect Pearl after Vex and Scottie manage to get her out of the ABT compound. For some reason she seems to be in danger but they haven't been able to find out more.
Rip takes her to the safe house and tries to explain how life on the outside is. Pearl has lived in the compound all her life, she's now in her late twenties.
I loved Pearl's character although she appears subservient she's quite sassy underneath. Rip becomes very protective of her and has to think why he feels differently for her than other women he's known.. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I love this series and this was Rip and Pearl’s story and it is awesome. Pearl grew up in the Aryan Brother of Texas compound. The Invincibles had been trying to take them down for several years and when Vex and Scottie, who were undercover discovered Pearl was in danger, they got her out and Rip was put in charge of her protection. Another great storyline that keeps you turning page after page and awesome characters. I loved Rip, he was so sweet and understanding with Pearl who had no idea of what life was like outside the compound. Great read and I highly recommend this series.

Wow! Rip and Pearl.... So beautiful! Pearl has lived her entire life in the cult-like Aryan Brothers compound, but when her life is endangered, the planted Invincibles whisk her away and into the care of Rip. She is overwhelmed by the outside world, but Rip introduces her to it carefully and with her safety in mind. The plot is very complex with enemies within and without the compound. Rip and Pearl are on the move staying ahead of the bad guys and trying to identify her parents. Pearl is a loveable, sweet innocent woman but with a strong feisty personality. And Rip is a dream come true of manhood. There is also a wonderful touch of romance. So so good!
