Juliette is still reeling from her encounters with a zombie. She tries to push the whole experience from her mind and focus wholly on her yoga, but even when she’s in the zone, she can still smell the rot of the zombie or see Samuel’s face. She should just go home and forget this island ever existed, but for some reason she can’t. That means she has to find a job or she’ll be starving soon. When her plans go awry, Samuel offers her a job helping in the hunt for monsters and she reluctantly agrees. But when the new monster turns out to be vampire, she realizes she’s made the biggest mistake of her life…
Kimberly Loth can’t decide where she wants to settle down. She’s lived in Michigan, Illinois, Missouri, Utah, California, Oregon, and South Carolina. She finally decided to make the leap and leave the U.S. behind for a few years. Currently, she lives in Cairo, Egypt with her husband and two kids.
She is a high school math teacher by day (please don’t hold that against her) and YA author by night. She loves romantic movies, chocolate, roses, and crazy adventures. Kissed is her first novel.
Book 6 left me feeling underwhelmed. Unlike the earlier entries, this installment felt lackluster and made me wonder if the series should have ended at Book 4. While there are still redeeming moments, the pacing and character development fell flat, making it hard to stay engaged. I hope the next book returns to the series’ earlier brilliance.
This was a good novella. I wasn’t sure how would feel about the spinoff from the main series. But I have to say this is more entertaining than the last two books within the main series. I really enjoy how fast pace they are in the relationship building.
I liked this one more than book five. The characters are starting to come together better and the twists in it at the end were really good. I am glad I listened to my friend and kept reading on.
