In this installment, Samuel and Juliette are on the hunt for a Reaper while still searching for Mason, the vampire child they’re bound to protect. The story pulls you deeper into their twisted world, with layered motives and tangled relationships. Dark, weird, and compelling—this series keeps getting stranger in a good way.

These are fast fun reads. I am enjoying the story and I can see that it's one case per book, but I think it could be two and still be good. I am still reading them so that is good and I am enjoying the characters more. I wasn't sure when I first switched to the books focusing on Juliette and Samuel, but I am enjoying how they work together.
