This book wasn't too bad and Erik and Raia were OK...but I wanted more.
I can see Erik hiring Raia for his BDSM club, but he's pretty quick to put the moves on a new and initiated employee. They start playing too quickly, especially with Raia being a total newbie to anything kinky. The scenes were explained well but felt too clinical.
It was also quite hard to keep track of all the 8 club owners. They had viking Master names as well so that's 16 names to remember...You could tell the author was setting up for future books, as they all seem to have different issues and kinks.
The ex-boyfriend plot was predictable and Raia didn't react in a realistic way.

Cheesy tropes but satisfying read
Another BDSM club, rich dominant, down on her luck newbie submissive and the requisite problematic ex.
However, I enjoyed the execution of the above. Raia was a good combination of vulnerable, insecure, but strong. Eric was totally enamoured. Both had to adjust to a new type of dynamic. The secondary characters were interesting, and I will read more books in this series.
I liked the dynamic between Raia and Eric, which is explained as a 24/7 type D/s relationship. The heat between them was off the charts. However, I would have preferred to see more of the growth of this type of intimacy, but the book moved too quickly to be explored in more depth.
In all a good read that I would rate 4 (good but not exceptional) on Amazon but 3 (I liked it) on Goodreads.

It's not often you come across a book set in the BDSM lifestyle that checks all the boxes and covers informative insight into that world. This was well written and well researched to be able to speak about the lifestyle so effectively.
I truly loved Erik (Master Thor) and Reia's story, the way they explored and learnt together, and their love connection. I am looking forward to the other books in this series and learning more about the other characters, and what their desires are.

This is the first in this series and I can’t wait for the rest of the series BDSM buckle up this is going to be a wild ride (in every way ) alpha personified, possessive, oh, so gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a delicious. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! Erik sexy as all get out Master with all the qualities of a bossy alpha, he is patient with a very wicked hand :). Raia sweet, the perfect submissive providing she learns what all that means because Master Erik isn’t going to let her step out of line and yes, he is a possessive dom but he is also a gentle dom. It doesn’t help that the attraction is insanely intense between them oh and let’s not mention the sex scenes they are hotter than hot. Not sure there isn’t anyone who has felt heartbreak at some point and Raia is no different, working through the hurt from a previous relation with a horrible ex. with the help of a gentle yet demanding Master and loving every lesson learn taught (I mean com on who wouldn’t love the lessons taught). Master Erik has issues with commitment with all the ability to teach a submissive how to submit but does he have the ability to learn as well, will he take a chance on commitment, will their relationship be something more than just teacher/student, and can they find their way to happiness?

It was almost amazing.
During the first half of the book I thought I would be giving it at least 4 stars as an especially appealing erotic story of a shy woman blooming as a submissive to a gorgeous (of course), powerful Dom.
I don’t want to spoil the plot so I’ll just say that the villain is so 2-dimensional he’s silly, which let all the air out of the tension in the subplot.
And I’m not in the lifestyle so maybe I misunderstand 24/7 submission, but it seems to me there should be *some* mutual communication and consent for life-changing decisions.
It’s probably my personal reaction, but I needed to see Raia struggle with the fact that Erik made enormous decisions for her without even consulting her.

Raia hated her boring job at the call center and was trying so hard to keep from sinking into despair. She had moved from South Dakota to stupidly follow her ex-boyfriend to Philadelphia after the death of her parents. Not only had she found out that he had totally emptied her bank account, but she just lost her second job because of his constant harassment demanding that she return to him.
Raia was at her wits end. She was past due on bills and staying at a pay-by-the-week motel which left her little to nothing for food after getting paid. She didn't understand how her friend Dottie was always so chipper knowing that she also had a second job. When Dottie found out that she had lost her waitressing job due to Ben's interference, she let her in on her secret second job and told her they were holding interviews that night for waitress staff and she would be perfect for the job.
When Raia showed up at Midgard the public BDSM club that Dottie worked for she didn't expect to feel safe. The decor was reminiscent of a Viking lodge with massive wooden beams that reminded her of home and security. Looking at the forty or so other applicants she didn't think she had a chance of getting a job. Not only did she have no experience and know nothing about the BDSM culture, but her conservative work clothes definitely stood out from the very exposing clothes worn by some of the women.
Erik was one of the co-owners of three BDSM clubs in the Philly area. His fraternity brothers Jared, Lincoln, Colin, Noah, Declan and Gabriel along with their friend Marissa opened the clubs directly out of college after getting their first taste of the BDSM life in college. Along with the public club Midgard, there was their members only club Valhalla and their exclusive invitation only club Asgard.
They decided on the Viking theme for the clubs due to the nicknames they had given each other during college. Erik was known as Master Thor and his friends were Masters Loki, Vali, Vidar, Baldor, Odin, Heimdor and Freya. And each of them were alike in personality as their namesakes.
Erik couldn't take his eyes off the gorgeous blonde filling out her application. Not only wasn't she dressed as the other applicants, but her look of pure innocence called out to him. In his many years as a Dom, he hadn't found the perfect sub that could fulfill all his needs. He decided to mix up the interview process after seeing her. Usually the tour of the club and it's offerings were done after the applicants had been interviewed and screened, but he wanted to see Raia's reactions because he had just found himself the perfect sub.
I loved this book! I have read both Ann Jensen's MC romances and Rogue London's Daddy Dom romances (aka Skylar West) and love both of their writing styles, but put them together and you get an explosive steamy hot book! This book is very well written and I love all the characters! They are all fully developed and have such separate personalities that just grab you from page one.
Erik is into total power exchange and needs a submissive willing to give him all of her control and Raia is a woman who has been emotionally beat down by her past boyfriend. Erik is determined to show Raia how beautiful and sexual she is and that by given him all control gives her all the power.
Wow! I love Erik. I could feel his breath as he whispers promises in her ear. I could feel the chills rising on her arms under his light touch. Every erotic moment comes through the pages and I couldn't put the book down once I began. I love Raia's curiosity and despite her initial embarrassment, her determination to explore the many forms of sexual play.
This book kept my attention from page one and is smoking hot! Can't wait to see what Ann & Rogue have planned for the rest of these Masters! Highly recommend!

Saving Herself
I could not put this book down! Once I started that was all I could do. Naivety and honesty are two words that describe Raia and yet she is soo much more. When she finally drags herself out of the bad situation she found herself in, she has the good fortune to meet Dottie. When Dottie takes her to a job interview that will ultimately change the way that she views the world the games begin. Master Thor, Erik, was dumbstruck at his first sight of Raia and that was so very new for him as he has led a very guarded life. Protecting her, teaching her and ultimately loving her is all that he wants and needs. As the two of them learn how to navigate this new situation it is very rewarding to see the benefits that they receive.

Wasn’t as good as I would’ve liked. DNF around 51% mark. I liked the dual POV, I just wasn’t really a fan of the characters or especially how he acted. No real discussions, he just throws her into the mix and assumes everything about their dynamic instead of trying to win her over. He’s rude at times and rubs me the wrong way.

Thor & Sif
I read this book in it's original format and have enjoyed getting to read the updated version as well. A great reminder to me that I want to read book two and continue the series!

terrific BDSM romance
Oh yeah this was a fast read for me, I just picked it up and finished it in one day. It is set in a set of BDSM clubs and the story line moves fast. Raisa meets Erik and soon they are a couple because they have a terrific amount of chemistry ⚛️ and there are several terrifically good smutty scenes and some butt stuff as well.

_Master Thor_ is the first book in a new series, Masters of Midgard. Midgard is one of three BDSM clubs (the others being Asgard and Valhalla) owned by a group of friends who had been frat brothers.
Eric (Master Thor) is the overall manager of the clubs. He is wealthy and would like a 24/7 submissive. Raia is a young woman down on her luck trying to rebuild her life after leaving an abusive boyfriend who stole all of her assets. She has absolutely no BDSM experience at all, but a friend encourages her to try for a server position at Midgard. Eric sees her and is enchanted. The rest of the book is their blossoming relationship.
This is a quite entertaining and rather short BDSM Club Romance. I gave it 4 stars because it *does* all of the tropes quite well and professionally, but only 4 stars because it really did not add anything to the tropes.

Cute, inexperienced, insecure Sub -- check
Threat to Sub from previous life -- check
Lush club -- check
But, again, the authors executed well on their use of the tropes. The sex and the scenes are hot and delightful to read.
I would have also liked an epilog. The book is rather short, which is fine. But you don't really get anything about how their relationship continued to evolve as she moves in and assumes her role. I am sure they will be side characters in the future books and so we will see some in passing.
Now for my other complaints --

The actions of EVERYBODY after the assault in the club make no sense. You can't just send some video to the police and expect that they will happily issue an arrest warrant without interviewing the victim. That is insane. Any sane people would have called the police.
Small woman gets clocked in the head with a metal crowbar and suffers a concussion and then a medical professional says "Good to go, feed her some aspirin". No. No. No. She would get hauled to a hospital for a day of observation and very likely some imaging. Seriously. The "take her home to rest" thing in the book is crazy.
Assuming that Raia told Eric (after the attack) that Ben knew where she was staying with Dottie, I really cannot see Eric just assigning a bodyguard for them. I would expect him to move both of them to somewhere safe for the duration.
At the end when Ben is tackled, WHILE they hear police sirens coming, the doms take the time to truss him up like a turkey and stuff a ball gag in his mouth. WHY? Seriously, WHY? Maybe just for fun, but they are going to really confuse the situation when the cops get there. It is a fun image, but they had plenty of large people (including two Special Forces vets) to simply sit on the guy.

This was on my kindle, I think I might have gotten it for free at one point so went in blind with the plan to just dnf if it and delete if I didn’t like it.
It ended up being ok, Raia gets a job as a server at a Bdsm club on the recommendation of her friend Dottie. Her ex was emotionally and financially abusive and has ended up stalking her and caused her to lose a previous waitressing job so she’s been struggling.
One of the owners of the club Erik- aka Master Thor, has an instant attraction/connection to Raia and they fall into a dom sub relationship pretty quickly even though she’s completely new to the lifestyle but he sees her as his perfect submissive and she instantly wants everything he’s offering too.
It was 224 pages but honestly felt even shorter than that, it’s fast paced and I read it really quickly. There’s a lot of characters mentioned, the other owners of the clubs. I think there was 7 others and they all have Norse names for the club so between that and when he used their real names it was hard to keep track but I understand it was setting up for future books.

During the interview process there’s several potential servers and to show them a small insight of what to expect in the club he spanks Dottie a few times and tells the servers to get used to the noises and not to react no matter if it appeals to them or not. The H is watching the h closely because he wants to gauge her reactions to the club but the spanking is just a clinical demonstration to him he’s not interested in Dottie at all and it’s like less than a few minutes. I didn’t like this part though, would have preferred if it was just a random D/s he just had the interviewees watch.
Omd- her ex is stalking her and attacks her twice, H comes to her rescue both times.
HFN- they’ve said I love you, move in together and he gives her a collar. But the ending was very abrupt.

The first of the Masters of Midgard series is Master Thor, and I thought it was a great introduction to not only the main characters but some of the many sideline characters too, as well as explaining about the different clubs and some of the different things that take place in the lifestyle.
Raia is down on her luck, mainly thanks to her ex, who, although not physically abusive, was financially, emotionally, and psychologically abusive, and it all had a massive knock-on effect on Raia's confidence levels. She is completely new to the lifestyle, but her friend lets her know there are waitressing jobs available at the local club, and so Raia applies. It's here where she meets Erik, or Master Thor as he is known, and sparks begin to fly. I thought that aspect of her personality was well written and showed the long-lasting effects the type of abuse could have, but it also left her open to exploring impact play in a way that wasn't triggering, which had she been physically abused, it could have.
Erik is a very well-established Dom and doesn't usually take on a submissive, never mind enter a long-term relationship, but something about Raia calls to him, and it moves very fast as they establish their relationship and explore their new dynamic. Raia is down on her luck, mainly thanks to her ex, who, although not physically abusive, was financially, emotionally, and psychologically abusive, and it all had a massive knock-on effect on Raia's confidence levels. She is completely new to the lifestyle, but her friend lets her know there are waitressing jobs available at the local club, and so Raia applies. It's here where she meets Erik, or Master Thor as he is known, and sparks begin to fly. I thought that aspect of her personality was well written and showed the long-lasting effects the type of abuse could have, but it also left her open to exploring impact play in a way that wasn't triggering, which had she been physically abused, it could have.
Erik is a very well-established Dom and doesn't usually take on a submissive, never mind enter a long-term relationship, but something about Raia calls to him, and it moves very fast as they establish their relationship and explore their new dynamic. Oh this series is just lovely, and spicy, ( and a realistic depiction of bd$m). Seriously though, it is so important to have good depictions of kink dynamics. It allows people who are exploring to understand what they may or may not be interested in, in a safe way. Trust me, I explored in a not safe way, not everyone will listen when you say red.
I LOVE the Masters of Midgard series, they're a series of interconnected standalones. All of the characters are rich, funny, smart, and integral to the storylines. They're family to each other. Made family, but family nonetheless. In ‘Master Thor’, Thor, aka Eric, has commitment issues, but he is also a Dom that needs a submissive who will give him complete control. Raia has trust issues and is very new to the lifestyle, but finds something in giving up control to Eric. I’ve read all three books so far, the scenes with Thor and Raia are the most intimate for me. Raia is so responsive and the way Thor talk to her is just so intense, it’s breathtaking and so freaking hot. Their relationship is erotic, intimate, vulnerable, and beautiful.
The relationships each couple builds is not the long hard work like real life, it is a book after all. A very well written book but still a very spicy, steamy, hot romance novel. Ann and Rogue are really good at what they do, they take great care to make sure their characters relationship grows in a way that does not defy belief. Their emotional and romantic growth is based on what happens in their daily interactions as well as external forces.

Oh my goodness I think I have find another series I’m going to obsessed with lol from the moment I started this amazing fun book I hooked! The two amazing authors did a fantastic job I can’t wait to continue this page turner steamy action packed series! I really hope it’s going to be a very long series I can’t get enough over these wonderful characters I have just met I feel very close to Raia for so many reasons. She reminds me of myself with second guessing herself, believing negative thoughts among so much else. With that being said she’s also very independent, determined to make her own way, she is very strong and sometimes sassy which I love especially with everything she been through. Master Thor is something else I want one of my own:) there are some many different sides to him but love them all. The chemistry between these two characters you feel a mile away you might want a cold drink:) this read is full of surprises, unexpected moments, suspenseful mystery, self reflection among so much more to enjoy plus makes it impossible to put down! I love how understanding and protective master Thor is along with his group of friends and everyone needs a friend like Dottie lol I hope she gets a story of her own soon! Trust me this book you don’t want to miss the adventures, heartfelt moments, danger stupid exs it’s a winner in my mind:)

A beautiful love story.
I loved this book the first time I read it, but I loved it more as the expanded edition. It is one of those books that once you start reading, you marathon read it until you have finished it.
Raia is down on her luck financially, emotionally and it all has to do to her ex being emotionally beaten down, robbed of all her finances by her boyfriend and hounded by debt collectors, she leaves. But life on her own is not easy. Thanks to her best friend, she finds a second job working as a waitress at a lifestyle club. It is at that club she meets Erik/Master Thor. The attraction between Erik and Raia is off the charts from the start. Raia finds a new life as Master Thor is teaching her about the pleasures that can be found submitting. The fly in the ointment is her ex. He continues to make her life miserable, and his actions escalate as the story progresses. Luckily Erik is not a man to put up with it and will do what he must to protect her.
Eric/Master Thor and Raia make for a beautiful love story and the reader can see it unfold with every page read. The expanded content is a great addition. Who wouldn’t love to read more of Master Thor and Raia? Very enjoyable. A great read.

'Master Thor' is the first book in Ann Jensen and Rogue London's "Masters of Midgar" series and it is phenomenal! I've read Ms. Rogue is a familiar author but this series is the first I've read from Ms. Jensen and let me shout it loudly: THESE TWO LADIES MAKE A FABULOUS PAIR!!! The characters are perfectly flawed and so relatable. The world-building is so descriptive I felt like I was there amid things. And the storyline, you ask? Yes, the storyline is brilliant. Erik, aka Thor, is one of the owners of Midgard, a public BDSM club. Although he has had his pick of most of the subs in the club, things have become too easy and he's bored and a bit disillusioned if the truth were told. Raia, on the other hand, has been through so much the image she has of herself is the abusive words of her ex-boyfriend. When her co-worker, turned best friend, finally shares her secret of how she makes it financially, Raia takes the plunge. Even though she has no experience and very little knowledge of BDSM, Dottie takes her to Midgard and Raia applies for the position of server. That's when Thor meets his Sif. Who is Sif, you ask? You have to read this to find out. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. This one will stay with me for quite some time.

This is book one in a new series about a group of friends who own and operate a series of BDSM clubs. Master Thor is one of eight friends and the main MC of this story.
Raia is a newbie employee to the club but also a noob when it comes to the BDSM scene/lifestyle.
These two instantly fall in lust with each other and the story is pretty fast paced in terms of entering into a D/s relationship. I think this is where I felt the disconnect. I wanted a slower build up to the smexy times, especially because Raia is a newbie and Thor aka Eric, was a Master. The pacing just felt too fast and it felt like I was playing catch up while reading.
There is also a side plot about Raia's ex who turns into a stalker. This definitely added some excitement, especially towards the end and gives Master Thor the chance to play real life hero for his lady.

Raia hated her boring job at the call center and was trying so hard to keep from sinking into despair. She had moved from South Dakota to stupidly follow her ex-boyfriend to Philadelphia after the death of her parents. Not only had she found out that he had totally emptied her bank account, but she just lost her second job because of his constant harassment demanding that she return to him.
Raia was at her wits end. She was past due on bills and staying at a pay-by-the-week motel which left her little to nothing for food after getting paid. She didn't understand how her friend Dottie was always so chipper knowing that she also had a second job. When Dottie found out that she had lost her waitressing job due to Ben's interference, she let her in on her secret second job and told her they were holding interviews that night for waitress staff and she would be perfect for the job.

Looking at the forty or so other applicants she didn't think she had a chance of getting a job. Not only did she have no experience and know nothing about the BDSM culture, but her conservative work clothes definitely stood out from the very exposing clothes worn by some of the women.
Erik was one of the co-owners of three BDSM clubs in the Philly area. His fraternity brothers Jared, Lincoln, Colin, Noah, Declan and Gabriel along with their friend Marissa opened the clubs directly out of college after getting their first taste of the BDSM life in college. Along with the public club Midgard, there was their members only club Valhalla and their exclusive invitation only club Asgard.
They decided on the Viking theme for the clubs due to the nicknames they had given each other during college. Erik was known as Master Thor and his friends were Masters Loki, Vali, Vidar, Baldor, Odin, Heimdor and Freya. And each of them were alike in personality as their namesakes.

I loved this book! I have read both Ann Jensen's MC romances and Rogue London's Daddy Dom romances (aka Skylar West) and love both of their writing styles, but put them together and you get an explosive steamy hot book! This book is very well written and I love all the characters! They are all fully developed and have such separate personalities that just grab you from page one.

Master Thor is the first in a series about the dominant owners of the BDSM club Midgard. Both main characters are very likeable and relatable: Erik/Master Thor is the very hands-on manager, a down-to-earth man despite his wealth and an experienced, if slightly jaded dom. Raia is a down on her luck woman, an absolute newbie to the lifestyle, but a natural sub. When they meet, the attraction is instantaneous and undeniable. So there are lots of emotional moments, steamy sexy times and a touch of danger and suspense before they reach their well-deserved HEA. We also get to meet Erik and Raia's wonderful group of friends who not only make great supporting characters but deserve and will hopefully get their own stories soon. I greatly enjoyed this updated and extended version and highly recommend it!

Erik aka Master Thor is the Club's manager and a somewhat jaded Dom, whilst Raia is a natural sub although she's still new to the lifestyle. They are worlds apart but when they meet, there's an instant and undeniable attraction between them.
The chemistry and steamy sex scenes are well done they also share some emotional moments but I don't want to say too much as it will spoil this incredible updated and extended version of this incredible story. I will just say you don't want to miss this one, Erik and Raia are interesting characters I just loved the depth the authors brought to these complicated, damaged, and vulnerable yet likeable characters.

This book is phenomenal
The story of Raia and Erik is engaging and seductive. It is very well written and the characters could not be more perfect! I immensely enjoyed watching the relationship unfold. Erik is definitely a Master and teaches Raia how to be a good submissive by making sure she follows protocol, but you can see many glimpses of his gentleness toward her. It is so sweet, yet has so much passion and intensity. The sex scenes are HOT! I love stories that have a good plot, not just spanking and sex. I want to really feel like I can relate to the characters. Raia, like many of us, has had a rough time in a previous relationship but she rises above and trusts again. Their relationship is sweet and gentle yet intense and powerful! This story will draw you in and you won’t want to stop reading! These two amazing authors have hit it out of the park with this book.

Raia left her hometown to follow her boyfriend to Philadelphia, where he raided her money and caused her to get fired from jobs. Raia just lost her second job and things seemed hopeless until her friend told her of an opening at a club where she works, for a waitress. She goes to Midgard and meets Erik, learning more about that lifestyle and about being a submissive to his Master Thor. Loved the bond between the Viking group and the names were perfect with their personalities. The characters are well developed. The storyline had plenty of drama, surprises, entertaining situations, big decisions, twists, steam and much more. The ending was just right and I can not wait for the next book in the series.

I had high hopes from the reviews, but only 20 pages in I had to stop. I couldn’t get past the cheesy and illogical elements, the many typos (including misspelling Midgard as Migard, the name of the club, only to spell it correctly on the next page), and the overall unedited/unfinished state of the book to the point it was distracting.
I’m sure the story is decent once you get into it, so far it seemed pretty standard on the side of extremely cheesy. The main character seems to contradict their actions and thoughts pretty frequently and has a painfully non existent personality while also having an extremely small waist and big boobs. I stopped reading when Thor is watching her, which she somehow knows right away, and her hair magically comes out of the bun it’s been in all day, which of course is now somehow gorgeous when let down (que “why don’t you always wear your hair down).
