This was H-O-T🔥 It ain't a romance but it def was a revenge fantasy lol. Honestly, I read this for the revenge and smut. I was far from disappointed. My only question how does a woman get a black card in real life? Inquire minds want to know?

This is such a cool idea and I’m so incredibly glad that it was written by JD because they killed this in a way that I don’t think anyone else would have. Everything about this was excellent from the witty dialogue, to the execution of the story’s plot. This made me laugh while simultaneously reflecting on my own miserable past and soaking that in for a bit but also gave a warm little “you’re not alone” hug that makes you feel seen.
While this is a “smut IS the plot” type of book, it also carries a lot of weight in just small lines and phrases that makes it FEEL much deeper, which I really enjoyed.
The ending of this book had my jaw drop straight through the earths crust and into hell and messaging JD like yooo WHAT and I can’t wait for you all to read it. Please feel free to message me some “yo wtf” messages too and gush to me about how much you loved this because I know this one is going to take off.

If you are looking for a quick smutty read, then you don’t have to look much further than Black Card Black. With 112 pages, I steamed through it within one evening. A short Novella, with just enough storyline to keep me entertained and enough smut scenes to leave a girl hot and bothered.
Black card is hot as FUCK! Let me get that out of the way. I mean one woman, three masked men? Sign me up! This was a fun quick read, leaving me wanting for more. The ending was exactly what I expected, I saw it coming from a mile away. But that’s okay!
What to expect: Bondage, Cheating, Degradation, Denial, Impact Play, Kidnapping, Marking, Power Exchange, Restraints, Sex Toys, Spanking, and a sprinkle of Consensual Non Consent. In other words: This book was right up my alley! I love a good smutty kinky novella, and this one definitely didn’t disappoint.
While this was a fun quick read, the characters felt a little underdeveloped. I would love a full book on these four, and I would love to know more about the best friend as well. Talking about the best friend, that was something I definitely absolutely adored. What can I say? I simply love a good female friendship in a book. It is one of my favourite non-spicy tropes. It just adds so much to a book, if you ask me.
Another thing I was quite enamoured by was the story line. A simple black card, being passed along from woman to woman in need. Three masked men that pass you along and have their way with you. I was a little sad that this was only a Novella, since I loved it so much! I would 100% have read a full 300-till-500-page book on this! I personally think that this specific story would definitely profit so much from being a little longer. There were a few details and scenes I was missing. But since it’s a novella, that was to be expected. Please just get me a full length book on this one!
I absolutely love JD’s writing style and this book was a great introduction to that. It had me craving more of their books. Let’s just say I’ve put multiple of their books on my TBR for next year. I can’t wait to read more of their books, hoping they are just as enjoyable as this one was!
Black Card Black is definitely a book in which the smut is the plot. But it had more plot than I expected. I went in thinking that it would be only spice, no story, but was quite pleasantly surprised. Next to a bit of plot, you could also notice that J.D. knows how the BDSM scene works. The contract was another pleasant surprise to me, especially with all the safe words and bits of aftercare. Loved it!

Holy fucking hell this was such a fun and HOT novella. Essie is in a loveless, sexless marriage and when she sees her neighbor getting dropped off with a hood over her head looking thoroughly fucked from a van filled with three dudes… she asks her about it. Her neighbor gives her a black card where she can call and schedule her own appointment to be kidnapped up by three masked men in a van and be fucked very thoroughly. Which she does and my god. I loved this.

WOW. This novella literally caught me by surprise with how powerful and spicy the story is! Essie is currently in a loveless marriage she feels with her husband not giving her what she wants/deserves. I was so happy for her to go out and find those meaningful connections she truly craved.
The connections that Essie made really showed her exactly what she was missing from her marriage, and she knew exactly what she deserved in those moments😤

This was short , spice filled and fun! If you’re the revenge type this one is for you. I really enjoyed the writing style, and it made me laugh at some points too. I wouldn’t mind having a bit more to this story honestly after the ending. Also I loved seeing all the men’s personalities. Especially woods he could step into his role and be dominant, or he could be caring and cute🥹

I loved this! My kind of book, but it also really resonated with me. How a male author can so very accurately portray a woman’s mind is beyond me. I know I’ve felt and thought these things myself, as I’m sure many women have. Well done! I wish we could have a longer version to see what happens after.
So, the premise, is that Essie is a wife who is kind of depressed, and questioning her mundane life, while also coming to the realization that her husband has been cheating on her. Then an opportunity arises where she can get revenge. She’s a little apprehensive, but decides to just do it. While in the throes of it, she becomes a new woman.

And yeah sure, first and foremost it was smutty erotica with a tinge of romance but it spoke to me. Will speak to many, I guess.
Of course, yes, she’s being railed by 3 men in masks and that definitely didn’t hurt. Not me at least.
As sunsets died brutal-struggling deaths across the sky, each red orb fighting to stay afloat before setting with bitterness-casting long, lanky shadows on the still hot streets of her Kentucky neighborhood, a grimness would slip behind her, grasping her wrists and whispering sweet melancholy into her ear.
But Essie’s also insecure, lost in staleness and deeply unhappy in a life everyone tells her is the desirable status quo.
And well, let’s be honest, I’ve seen this film before and my ending was definitely not as good as hers.
’We all want to be picked, right Woods? We all want that person to stop and grab us out of a crowd and declare that you—only you—are the one for them.’
Woods is perfect.
Of course, Owen and Levis are great, characters that aren’t nor need to be developed further. Because again: men in masks.
Levi was talking to Owen in the background, the wand was humming cheerfully against her clit, and Woods was staring into her soul.
But Woods makes a difference. And Essie is all of us wishing to break out of a life that restrains us. She’s the one taking revenge by empowering herself (and I am in full support of the way she chooses to do it). She’s also the one who does what I still try to: shedding the role of a victim and taking back the reigns.
"Fuck, Essie, why'd you have to be so hot?
I might not let you go. I might keep you on a leash forever."
Again, doesn’t hurt that her path of enlightenment involves three hot guys who worship and fuxk her into oblivion.
Black Card Black is fun, fast paced and a great short read with very good writing and that perfect amount of romance in a smutty novella. I enjoyed every second of it, particularly the ending.🖤

Unhappy woman + little black card + a trio of men = fantasies come to life
Who knew a group of men really could sort you out sexually (without any strings attached), and help you serve up revenge?
I went into this book thinking it would be pure smut based on the premise, and I was pleasantly surprised it gave us more than that. There was banter and sweetness too. I actually wish it was a little longer to flesh out more of the plot points because the characters were interesting enough and it would be so much fun to find out the aftermath after Essie decided it was time to call it quits with her husband. Would she try another weekend with the guys? Would they even let her? Would she pursue anything with Woods? I would love to know!
And that ENDING. That deserves an extra star alone. I don't know what I expected her to do, but that was elite.
Perhaps a weird thing to observe, but the final group scene involving the 3 of them at once and the wand, was a missed opportunity for some squirting. As hard as she rode the wand and Levi, that could have developed into a really hot squirt moment. But I digress. Perhaps food for thought for another book.
The smut was delicious, the plot was present for an erotic novella, and the banter and sweet moments were the cherries on top. Finding out it was a male author who wrote this? *chef's kiss* He nailed it. Can't wait to read more of his work.

I said I wasn't doing star ratings anymore but also you should give people their flowers and JD Midnight deserves all their flowers. This book was INCREDIBLE. I must warn you before I start gushing 😏🤭 about this book, it is a SPICY novella. I mean like SPICY, perhaps only one hand is necessary 👀
Anywho let's get into it, I have only one complaint with this novella and its that it was so good I wanted to know what happened after, perhaps a white card white?
The story is about Essie, who is in a marriage that has maybe run its course. Shes avoiding her husband by going on walks and on one of these walks she sees her neighbor being dropped of after a night out. In a black van. By three men. Clothes in tatters, walking like she got done her first soul cycle class (that is me just using my own personal experience, I thought I broke ol girl after my first time) any way of course Essie has questions. The answer? The black card, not American Express, a black card with a phone number. One night, 3 men, consensual fun.
I can't give anymore really, truly just read it you won't be disappointed. This book was so good and much more than the amazing smut that was included. You could really understand the emotions at war within Essie and I am assuming the push and pull of being in a loveless marriage. JD also made the book fun and light hearted within the spice so you could tell that it wasn't just about the act, there were emotions included as well, even if it was just supposed to be one night.
I can’t thank j.d midnight enough for allowing me to ARC read this masterpiece. Everything written by them is a hit!
