Read this book with my 8 year old son. The writing was basic enough he could have read it himself, but the story just simply wasn’t very captivating for either of us. We did enjoy doing the puzzles… none of them were so hard to be frustrating and several did make you think. My son loved using the decoder and would get excited when we got an answer correct. I just wish the actual book part had been better, and the ending was disappointing.
