Their world was passion, pleasure and secrets.

Far too many secrets. But Clay Nichols can't get Julia Bell out of his mind. He's so drawn to her, and to the nights they shared, that he can't focus on work or business. Only her. And she's pissing him off with her hot and cold act. She has her reasons though–she's trying to stay one step ahead of the trouble that's been chasing her for months now, thanks to the criminal world her ex dragged her into. If only she can get out of this mess, then maybe she can invite the man who ignites her back in her life, so she can have him–heart, mind and body.

He won't take less than all of her, and the full truth too. When he runs into her again at her sister's wedding, they have a second chance but she'll have to let him all the way in. And they'll learn just how much more there is to the intense sexual chemistry they share, and whether love can carry them well past the danger of her past and into a new future, after this night...

THEIR world was passion,
pleasure and secrets

It could be so easy....just when CLAY & JULIA have decided to give this "thing" between them a shot, JULIA's secret threatens to destroy everything.

Can CLAY live with the fact that Julia lied to him?
Can JULIA convince Clay she only did it to protect him?

After This Night was just as HAWT as Night After Night.
Although I absolutely love CLAY's dirty mouth, seeing his softer side made me fall in love with him even more...**sigh**

I also really liked JULIA. She's definitely one of my favourite female heroines. Never whiny or annoying.

The perfect mix between a sexy kitten and a wild tigress ;D

If you're looking for something sexy & kinky, a dirty talking hero and a badass heroine..don't look any further - cause you found it in this HOT AS HELL SERIES!

This review is for the first three books of the series.

Julia Bell is the owner and bartender of Cubic Z with a big problem hanging above her head: her idiot of an ex-boyfriend left her after “borrowing” money from the mafia and now Julia is the one who has to pay it back. The only problem is that she doesn’t have that kind of money so the only way to do it is by playing poker for her dealer.
Clay Nichols is an entertainment lawyer raised in Vegas with a unique yet perfect family. No secrets, no lies. These are the rules he plays by, but then one sexy bartender comes in the way and all his rules do not apply anymore because he sure as hell will lie if that’s what keeps the woman he loves safe.

First Night: This is a prequel novella and it sure will live you panting! They have the hottest sex ever (trust me, it is) with the promise of just one night, but then one night wasn’t nearly enough.

“Come back to my hotel. Spend the night with me,” he said softly. “I want to curl up with you. I want to wake up with you. I want to make love to you before I live.”

This prequel is about the night they met in San Francisco and their first sexual encounter and I really loved this one. Everything is just so exciting and perfect and you will want to run to the next one!

Night after night:
in this book things keep getting really exciting! After that unforgettable night, they give a try to a relationship at distance and all is going just fine until her secrets come in the way of their relationship: Julia doesn’t want to reveal her secret to anyone, not even Clay, so she can pay her debt by herself without anyone’s help. But after a liar as an ex-girlfriend, the fact that Julia doesn’t want to open up to him about her problems is a deal breaker for him.

“Now, I am going to tease the ever loving fuck out of you, gorgeous.”

This is where I started second guessing my love for the series. Don’t get me wrong, this book is still really good, the sex sure as hell keeps getting better and better, but besides that, things are just too easy. We are talking about a woman involved with the mafia, even though against her wishes, so things are not supposed to go easy on anyone. I just expected something stronger and darker. This book ends with a cliffhanger.

After this night:
Julia finally shares her secrets with Clay and, together, they work it all out.

“Every woman should be jealous of you because of how I feel about you. Because no man has ever wanted a woman like I want you. No man has ever craved a woman as deeply as I rave you. And no man has ever fallen this hard and this fast for a woman.”

This series still has some books about Julia and Clay but since this one doesn’t end with a cliffhanger, I’m not really motivated to read the rest. This was a little unsatisfactory. Things kept happening too easily for my taste and the mafia plot was just too thin. On the bright side they explore their limits regarding kink and the book has an happy ending.

4.25 - 4.5 More Than One Night Needed Stars!

Great third installment of the Seductive Nights Trilogy! I wasn't quite sure if this was gonna be angsty and lose the erotic edge that the author started. I mean how can the erotica continue when Clay walked away?

Oh silly me...Julia wanted her man too much to just let him go...and Clay was never able to forget his fiery red! So phone heat? yes. Dirty texts and emails? yes. surprise melt your panties show ups? yes. And so you see the erotica was back and even better as now there was some feelings and some sweet to go with the dirty talk! But wait, don't expect a nice big bow of happiness...there is still walking away to do....WHAT you say?

I am grateful for open communication. I like that Julia came clean. I like that both had wants and needs and weren't afraid to air it. I am especially happy the tale was complete and didn't lose anything from start to end.

So if you want a good erotic read...Clay and Julia are worth the purchase!

4.25 Stars!!!

This book is so HOT!!! I really liked it, even more than the first book.

I forgot to include a few lines from this book that I really liked:

"I'd gone about it the wrong way, thinking that by asking her to move in first, I'd be able to keep her without reservation. But you don't get the girl until you've gotten the girl. And even then you have to put in the effort every single day to keep her. You don't win before you've won. You keep playing, and fighting for love every day."

The love scene were hot!!! But the thing is that there were feelings that developed their story....

I have no idea why I waited so long to dive into book 2 but let's just go with my weirdness guys.

After This Night was a fun book to listen to. I think the characters were just what I needed after a sad little book. Julia and Clay, the main characters, had some great chemistry. They definitely put a little smile on my face - which may or may not have freaked out my co-workers.

Of course, this book did deliver some drama because what book wouldn't if it was written by LB? Julia has a pretty big secret and I was wondering what was going to happen once Clay found out about it. Would he flip some tables and get mad? Or I don't know what else men do when it comes to this situation.. maybe be a little butt hurt? Who knows.

Well, spoiler alert, he doesn't go all hulk like on her. Nope, he does the complete opposite - he helps and comes to her rescue. Which just brings to light on how cute their relationship was to begin with. They really liked each other and were going to do no matter what to be in each other's lives.

Overall, I liked it so much that I might even dive into the next book later today.

☆ ☆ ☆☆ 4.5 Lemon Drop Your Panties for Clay Nichols☆ ☆ ☆☆

AfterThisNight

I think I am in need of a Heist cocktail .... I want Clay Nichols on my lips...scratch that I just want him!!! After this Night reaffirms my love for Clay. I love this sweet sexy, dirty talking and panty melting attorney. Ms. Blakely did it once again in this third installment of the Seductive Nights series, she had me begging for more and did not disappoint her fans. This book had it all from steamy sizzling mouth watering sexual chemistry, suspense, love, and of course Clay Nichol’s dirty mouth.

AfterThisNight_1

This series is called Seductive Nights...right? Well, Lauren seduces us with Clay and Julia’s story. She answers all burning questions: What will become of Clay and Julia? Will Julia tell the truth? And how will this couple survive a long distance relationship? And as of course, Lauren Blakely has all of us ladies drunk of Clay!!!

AfterThisNight_3

Julia and Clay...what can I say about this couple but they should come with a warning label.. They are oozing with sexiness. In After This Night, readers will fall in love Julia. She is fun, sassy, honest and down to earth. I love how honest and open Julia is with Clay. When Julia admits her secrets to Clay, I wanted to do a little happy dance because she wants to take a chance with Clay and whatever this thing that is brewing between them. And as for Clay, he will seduce you with his charm, sweetness, protectiveness, and of course with his talented filthy mouth. That man will have you drunk!!!

Now, I need to find someone to make me a purple snowglobe. <3

What a conclusion!
I think I found a new favorite Lauren Blakely book swear to god this was HOT.

The back and forth the not knowing the trust and respect it really get you in the feels.
At times I was rooting for Julia then times I was rooting for Clay then for them together, swoon.

My heart went through a bit there but it was worth it for that ending!

If you’re a Lauren Blakely fan you NEED to read this series its everything her other books have and more steam. I love it I want MORE, MORE, MORE, please!

The narration like I said before perfect for this book 100% couldn’t ask for more!

OMFG!

Super recomendo.

5 “I’m already drunk on Clay” Stars!
ARC received for an honest review
Review on behalf of Give Me Books

“I want you to believe me with the same certainty that you want to fuck me.”

I started my previous reviews on this series gushing about Clay Nichols, now, I’m starting off with Julia Bell.

After keeping her problem all to herself in Night After Night, she decided to take a risk and trust Clay to listen and believe her. Not to help her pay off her debt but more on letting Clay know that she is only trying to protect him by lying that time who he was and by showing him that she wants things to go back to how they were in their relationship before he walked out on her on that alley.

Did Clay listen to her?
Did he believe her?
Did Clay trust her?
Did Julia trust Clay?
What happens to Charlie?
What happens to Dillon?
What will happen to their relationship?

All of these questions are answered in After This Night.

I like how Julia finally opened up herself to Clay, not just physically, but also emotionally and personally. She took a chance. She told the truth. She was close to being free of the debt she’s paying for for Charlie -- at last! Julia Bell is one of my top favorite female characters in a book. She is sassy, smart, sexy, independent, and she speaks her mind. Other than that Charlie situation she was in that she kept secret to everyone she loves, she’s honest and very vocal on how and what she was feeling. There’s something admirable and refreshing about reading a character like her who doesn’t carry around drama with her.

And Clay, Clay Nichols is back and it’s not just his filthy mouth that’s always a welcome read but in this conclusion to their story, I felt like we get a more feel on his gentle and sweet side. Oh, there’s still plenty of hot, dirty things coming out his talented mouth, don’t worry about that. But his loving side is more emphasized in After This Night and I didn’t think I’d love Clay even more but I did, I do. He is such a McDreamy and a McSteamy rolled into one sizzling package of a man.

Are you looking forward to find out how Clay and Julia’s relationship will continue? How their problems and issues will be solved? Lauren Blakely definitely tied up all loose ends that she presented on the First Night and Night After Night. And I mean, all. The journey of the couple finding their way to each other by opening up themselves to trust, honesty, and love, is a really sweet one that I am glad to have read.

Stars: 5 stars!
Recommended to: Lovers of charming, filthy-mouthed lawyers and fiery bartenders.
POV: Third person. Dual POV.
Series: Yes.
Cliffhanger: No.
EXTRA COMMENT: I’m already feeling a bit of a Clay withdrawal.

After this Night is another fabulous instalment in the Seductive Nights series by Lauren Blakely. I really enjoyed the prequel short story and the first book but I'll admit I was a little nervous that Julia would continue keeping secrets from Clay and end up causing unnecessary drama in this book. Luckily that isn't the case and although it takes her a little time to trust Clay she does end up opening up to him and letting him in on her big secret. Of course Clay, being the kind of man he is, wants to fix everything for Julia but he understands that she needs to be able to sort things out in her own way. There was one moment where he nearly ruined things by not respecting her wishes but he was impossible to resist and I found myself forgiving him fairly quickly because he was so obviously trying to protect her.

Julia and Clay have fabulous chemistry, something that has been true from the moment they first met but that has only grown stronger as they've got to know each other better and I love spending time with them both in and out of the bedroom. This series is pure brain candy but it's fun to read with a sweet romance and hot as hell sex scenes. I definitely can't wait to see how things turn out for them both in the next instalment. If you're looking for a series that's quick and fun to read and will leave you desperately in need of a cold shower then you can't go far wrong with this one!

Oh my gosh, Lauren made an explosive and fantastic trilogy come together with the BEST , AMAZING and PERFECT ending.

I was so worried when Night after Night ended.

My entire mind was screaming..NOOOOO don't let this go like this. But Lauren she has a way with writing angst with just the right level of drama. You just know she's not going to torture you too long.

I loved this series so freaking much.

I found this love story just full of metaphors. It probably was just me but I saw things from Julia being a bartender and making all of these amazing and passionate recipes and how her and Clay just "mixed and blended" in the best way. Their love story was a perfect recipe and let me buzzing with pleasure.

I can't say loud enough how Clay is just the perfect guy. His sexiness is hot but his heart is just phenomenal.

The way he feels for Julia is magical and passionate. It's like you can sense the love and possessiveness leaping off the pages.

Julia's insecurities had me almost wanting to shake her like one of her purple snow globes a few times. But the love she had for Clay is what drove her fear..she never new love like that was even a possibility for her. I really adored Julia and how hard she tried to protect those she loved.

What may have started as passion grew to something so big and so explosive her heart could barely contain her feelings.

Don't read this review if you haven't read book 1, Night After Night.

“All or nothing at all. If it's love there is no in-between.”

Stubborn! Clay and Julia are exactly alike in the beginning of this continuation of the Seductive Nights Series. Trying to forget about each other; Clay because he thinks she is a liar. Julia because she doesn't want to involve him in her dealings with Charlie. They are both just going through the motions and trying not to contact one another. That only lasts for a short while (thankgod!)

“He was in a drugged out state tonight. This woman was his pill, and closeness was what he craved most even as he feared she would destroy his heart. Smash it to a million tiny pieces and eat it for lunch.”

During this break up Clay spends some time with his friend Michelle. We find out she has feelings for him (of course, who wouldn't?) I knew this from how she acted, when she was around him, in book one. Clay introduces Michelle to his friend Liam, a sexy actor. So hopefully she won't do anything stupid, considering he told her all about Julia.

Julia is the first to reach out, through email. She can't help it. She misses him and can't stand not talking to him, even if that is all she can have. The emails were genious. I LOVED them. Through the emails, they couldn't get down and dirty. They were actually able to talk and get to know each other more. Lauren executed this part perfectly. They were witty and fun just like our heroine always is. The emails eventually led to calls. Pretty soon they were okay again, for the most part anyways. Nothing a little phone sex can't cure! Clay is, hands down, the best dirty talker I have ever read. I don't know how he does it; so sexy but sweet at the same time.

“I want you to let go with me.”
“I do Clay. I've never held back.”
“I don't mean sex. I mean other ways. I want you to be as free with me in other ways as you are when you're naked.”

Clay is scared. He keeps a distance between them. He won’t allow himself to be close to her again. Despite all of the phone calls and everything the shared, there was a distance between them more palpable than the miles. Julias is getting to know him better, yet she has never felt further away from him than she did during the breakup.

Luckily, her sister is getting married. Clay of course shows up, considering the groom is a good client of his. Clay finally makes the decision t o trust her. Which is HUGE for him. He has been seriously burned in the past, but that is forgotten. Their love is too strong. Their connection sizzling, giving him no choice in the matter anymore. He can't walk away again. He lets go of the past and makes her his this time, no matter the cost.

Julia finally decides to let everything go too. She’s tired of holding in the hurt and fear of Charlie and her shame/betrayal from Dillon. She tells Clay everything! About Dillon, Charlie, the rigged poker games. She lets him see the desperation now that Charlie has given her a deadline to pay him off and the time is closing in on her.

Of course Clay is now stepping up to take care of her. As I knew he would. He is a man and he loves her. He promises to find a way out of the situation and to find Dillon. Julia could finally let down the armor/wall she has built up around her heart. She can finally feel joy for the first time in a long time. She could finally see a way through because now she had Clay.

One of my favorite parts: Clay beating the crap out of Max, one of Charlie's goons. Finally got to see his hot a*s in action! Never had a doubt he had it in him. *swoon* Something about a man fighting is insanely sexy.

Clay proposes a deal to Julia. Come to New York with him and play in his weekly poker game to win back the money faster. A real poker game, with real stakes and real money. A chance to win on her own terms. If she loses Clay will still pay Charlie off. More reason for her to win, seeing as how the last thing she wants if for Clay to pay off her debt.
Clay then strikes a deal with Charlie. Demanding he leave Julia alone and to never contact her again, only go through him. He tells Charlie he will have the debt of 10k paid by the coming weekend and then it's over. No more goons, or Charlie trying to con Julia again.

One little lie is all it takes.

After winning in the big poker game, Julia was on cloud nine. She could pay Charlie back and be done with her sordid past. But will it all be that easy? Will her and Clay finally be able to move on and love each other without restrictions or secrets? Will Julia finally move to NY, for good, to be with Clay? All these questions and more will be answered.

Lauren Blakely is the Queen of sex scenes. She has a way with her words that drag you in, making you feel and turn you on at the same time!

Take a dive into this realistic, sexy story of two broken people trying to mend one another and make love last. You won't regret it!

Favorite Quotes
“What if you turn me on again? And I walk around the reception hot and dripping between my legs?”
“Then tell me and I will slide my hand up your legs, coat my fingers in your wetness and suck it off.”

“Why do you like me tied up sometimes?”
“Because the way I feel for you is so out of control that this is one way for me to feel in control again.”

“He moved in her, f*cking her the way he kissed her, deep and consuming, in a claiming of her body. He was owning her, marking her.”

“He took her hard and he took her slow at the same time. She felt him in her bones, on her skin, down to her very cells. He was inside her, he was outside her, he surrounded her. İlk kitabın ardından sönük kaldığını rahatlıkla söyleyebilirim. Nerede bana çığlıklar attıran o kitap nerede bu kitap... Üçüncü kitapta ve serinin kalanında neler olacak merak ediyorum. Umarım bundan daha heyecanlı bir şeyler çıkar ortaya.

Fun sequel! I think I liked this more than the first book, it was hot and sweet and I liked the chemistry between Julia and Clay. The smut was really good and pretty constant throughout the book. Clay was frustrated at first, which is understandable since Julia is keeping a big secret from him. When he finds out what it is, he comes to Julia's rescue and is pretty sweet. He stands up for her and does whatever he can to help her. Julia is strong though and I liked that she helped herself. It was good that she had someone else to shoulder this burden, everyone could use someone else to be there for them. The ending was cute and I will be reading the third book.

After This Night begins just after Clay had left Julia to head back to New York, unable to accept her inability to let him in, to explain why she lied. But the distance isn't enough to erase the memory of her from his head. Already burned by a woman who lied to him, Clay struggles with trusting in a woman that has turned him inside out in just a matter of a few nights.

Julia doesn't want to drag anyone into the mess that has become her life. Keeping everyone in the dark is the only way she knew she could keep everyone safe. But losing Clay wasn't suppose to hurt this much. Telling him the truth is the only way she is going to keep him, but Clay isn't the kind of guy to just sit back and let things happen.

As Clay & Julia find themselves giving into what they feel, freeing herself from the man that has owned her for a debt that was never hers - they find that passion may not be enough. They need faith and trust in order to make this work and Julia needs the one thing that Clay demanded of her in return. Honesty.

Screenshot_131

I absolutely loved these two. From the late night emails that turned into phone sex, to the dirty words shared, to the way he just absolutely adored her... Clay and Julia were outright perfect. Lauren Blakely does a superb job keeping the dirty talk hot, but still making sure that you can feel the pure love exchanged between these two.

"You smell so fucking good," he said, then stuffed them into his pocket. "These are truly useless now."
Her lips rose in a sweet smile. "What if you turn me on again?" And I walk around the reception hot and dripping between my legs?"
He buzzed his lips against the column of her neck, traveling up to her ear. "Then tell me and I will slide my hand up your legs, coat my fingers in your wetness and suck it off."

There were times when you were expecting these two to struggle over the obvious issues that were present in their relationship. The distance, the friend who was obviously in love with Clay... but I loved that LB kept it simple with the story line and didn't inject drama for the sake of drama. These two had their own fears to overcome and didn't need more added into the mix for the sake of drama.

Screenshot_132

When I reached the end of this book, one thing was certain. I needed more. I wanted a few more nights with these two. With the third in the series focusing on Michelle, I am hoping that we haven't seen the last of Clay & Julia or that maybe LB will be overly generous and give us a novella of what was hinted at during the final pages of After This Night.

I've read the funny and sweet from LB and loved it, now having experienced what happens when she turns up the heat... I am excited to see what she has in store for us with Nights with Him. If you haven't yet read a LB book, this is a great place to start.

I've already thanked Lauren Blakely for Clay&Julia. They have easily climbed the favorite couples list. I love their fights, and their determination, but most of all, I love the chemistry between the two characters. You'd think that the way these two go at it things between them wouldn't work. Oh No. It's the fact that they both can dominate each other in a sense that makes their time together so powerful. Clay has taught Julia to finally Let Go and let me just say: Boy does she let go. Clay and his filthy mouth can make a reader chemically combust. I felt feverish reading some of those scenes. Hawt, Hawt, Horny, Hawt!!!

Remember the Cliffhanger? Yes I was still slightly pissed at Clay for walking out on Julia. All that I don't like liars bull crap. He gives enough of it now in this story. All in the name of true love, understandable, but it's still wasn't right. So no I didn't get mad at Julia(I'm lying, Yes I did) when she got all whinny and girly on him. I constantly reminded her "Julia there's a reason I liked you in book 1, use those Big Balls of yours." Now get this. They are "broken up", there's still no title in this relationship, and these two start having phone sex. Once again Clay=Ovary Boom. The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. Julia is just as hot and naughty as Clay is. She's his forbidden fruit.

I'm sure you also remember Charlie and his goons. Not my favorite people but perfect for the story. It's the only thing I didn't like about the story and it was minor for me. The problem was just solved to easy for my liking. You did read that..."My liking." I did enjoy that Clay meets Charlie moment. Oh and the ex-boyfriend...Karma in a suit!

Overall I'm pleased with the conclusion. It's the perfect blend of angst, growth, romance, sexy times(those are Fan-Fucking-Tastic) and Love. Lauren Came, Conquered and Delivered Clay&Julia. I was really nervous about that, but it's all over. Of course I'm recommending this book. It's a must after reading Night After Night. No I don't need another book. This was perfect for me. Maybe down the road she can give us a little novella on how they fuck each other to death making cute gorgeous babies or something. A Vegas wedding?! I'm starting to get greedy so Goodbye. Happy Readings!

PS: I would post all my favorite quotes but there's too many. They're mostly of Clay and his dirty mouth. Some of Julia's sassiness too. God Bless men is Suits&Ties❤️

Clay and Julia are one of my favorite book couples – EVER. I want to be couple besties with them. I want to hang out with Julia and have her make me a Purple Snow Globe. It’s not fair that these two only exist on paper. I may be pouting a bit. Okay fine, I’m pouting A LOT. Lauren Blakely has made me a believer in these two. The Seductive Nights series is at the tippy top of my all-time favorites and I don’t want their story to end.

Hot as fuck and sweet as sin… that describes Clay and Julia to a T. I couldn’t get enough of these two, whether it was during their most intimate times or during the casual moments, their story commands your attention. After This Night was one of those books I didn’t want to put down but it killed me to keep reading because it meant I was getting closer to the end. I really felt Clay and Julia bond in this book. All of the getting to know you stuff that happened in Night After Night is built upon in After This Night. We still have the hot dirty talking romance but now we see a softer, more intimate side to both Julia and Clay. We see them come to rely on each other. We see them starting to plan a future with the other. Because they are more connected emotionally, their intimacy feels so much more meaningful.

After This Night isn’t all sexy times, Clay and Julia have some issues to work out. For the first time in this series, I was pretty pissed at Clay. I get why he was doing what he was doing, but I also wanted to kick him in the shin for doing it. Clay has always been such a strong presence in this series, but Julia really matured and grew. She finally lets some walls down and learns to trust Clay with everything. Even when Clay was ticking me off, it was only because he was doing everything he could to protect his woman. His devotion to Julia is one of my favorite things about him.

For not wanting this series to end, I sure did enjoy the ending. It was perfectly constructed to really fit the characters and what I think they would have done in real life. I hope Lauren will consider writing more Clay and Julia in the future. Be on the lookout for book #3 in the Seductive Nights Series, Nights With Him, which will be Michele’s book!

The story and the romance and the steam go hand in hand in After This Night , perfectly balanced in just the right amounts. This story was just erotic, sexy and it got me all hot and bothered. Lauren had me biting my nails in anticipation of what was to happen next. I love it when a book just pulls me in and have me all excited in so many different ways possible. Every time I read Lauren's books it takes me to another level, like I'm in my own erotic bubble and no one else exist. I just can't seem to have enough of her hotness and sexiness reads.

Clay Nichols is back and it’s not just his filthy mouth that’s always a welcome read but in this conclusion to their story, I felt like we get a more feel on his gentle and sweet side.

There's no point in denying it - I loved this book... It was more a case of how much I was going to love it than whether or not I would. So how much? Tons. It was different to First Night and Night After Night because it was no longer just steamy sex and a maybe relationship between a hot, fiery bartender and a dirty-talking, sexy-as-sin lawyer and that was exactly what I had hoped for. Don't get me wrong, the sex was still hot, hot, hot but it took on more meaning. It was about learning to trust and falling in love with someone and figuring out how to make it work. It was the perfect continuation of Clay and Julia's story.

5 STEAMING HOT STARS!!

WOW. WOWZERS. The amount of cold showers I would need to get over the scorching heat of this book would be a complete understatement. Lauren Blakely has brew up the perfect cocktail mix of sweet and hot with these two characters.

“I would never do something with you that I felt I had to. Everything I do with you I want to. I have so much want for you I don’t know what to do with it all, but to give you more of it.

After I was left hanging at Night After Night, I straight away jumped into Book 2 and let my heart take a rollercoaster ride while I devour it. I felt that there was so much that Julia had to do to redeem herself after how things were left off in Book 1. Needless to say, their reunion was amazing, and how Julia brought down her walls for Clay: she has now gone back into my good books and I forgive her. I love that while she has always been a strong independent and stubborn woman, she still upholds that even when tearing down that wall down in front of Clay.

While both of them struggle with their own issues along the way, it really is truly amazing to see how two people that are so afraid to admit their insecurities will come to learn how much they do trust each other. Plus with all the sexual charge and sparks between them, Julia and Clay's chemistry is just intensified in every way possible.

“So was it everything you hoped it would be? Your fantasy?”
“Gorgeous, you are my fantasy come true.

With that being said, I love how realistic the ending was and it really stayed true to the characters. Their journey throughout the book got me pegged them as one of my favorite book couples. Their conversations were so witty and filled with sass, it got me laughing but it also got my heart squeezed tightly.

I would easily and highly recommend it to anyone AND everyone who really enjoys super fantastic scorching hot sex with a dose of sweetness and suspense on the side ;)

Awesome second book. Clay and Julia mature and work out their issues and still have smokin hot sex. Can't wait to read the last part of their story.

So this is the second install and Clay is back... no matter how much the warning bells are going off in his head. He can't get enough of Julia.
It starts off innocently with just texts back and forth to see if the other is ok quickly turning into a full blown phone sex relationship all over again.
Julia realizes that she wants to be with him and is ready to tell Clay everything if that means that she will be able to. So on the night of her sisters wedding she spills the beans.
To say that Clay is stunned is an understatement. Heck who says that the MOB is after them.
Right away he tries to take charge and get her free but Julia being as independent and headstrong that she is will not let him pick up the tab.
So Clay schedules a poker game that Julia will play in and if she wins she will be able to pay of the debt that her Ex left in her name... what kind of jerk does that to someone. Ugh
Unfortunately, Clay didn't have the same faith in Julia as she had in herself so instead of waiting for the night to play out he pays of the debt secretly. Julia ends up winning and when she goes to pay back the loan finds out that basically her win meant nothing. She feels betrayed and played.
Seriously dude you know how she is why would you not tell her that the time had been moved up??

This was a good book with a happy ending, there is a book 3 that I am curious about, if the main conflict is gone not sure how they can continue the story.

This was a pretty good follow-up to the first book. The first book left you with such a cliffhanger ending that I wanted to jump right into this one. And boy, did it deliver. It definitely answered any questions I may have had about the MCs and their story.

Julia and Clay in this book try their damnedest to say away from one another and sever contact. But of course they can't. So they start talking again which leads to them seeing one another again. And that is really all there is to this story. Them working through things. All the while Julia is working through her issues with money.

However, the way this ended makes me think there wouldn't be any more books. But I know there's more. So that's nice...

The Seductive Nights series by Lauren Blakely is a TOP-NOTCH erotic romance series that will have you begging for more. With the prequel and book 1 doing extremely well, I had NO DOUBT in my mind that I would fall in love with After this Night. Books like these are the reason why I love to read. Lauren Blakely does a fantastic job of feeding my obsession of erotic romance. Heart stopping sex scenes with two characters that will bury themselves in your heart, After this Night will take you straight to your happy place, and you will NEVER want to leave.

❝She was a sexy drug and he wanted another hit.❞

Clay Nichols and is deliciously filthy mouth is back! Just when you thought I couldn't fall in love with him any more, he goes and says shit like this...

❝Let me control your pleasure.❞

and I'm like...HELL YEAH you can!

After this Night continues with Clay and Julia's story. They are apart because Julia can't be honest with Clay, and he has HUGE ISSUES with that because of his past experiences. Even though they are apart, their connection is to strong and intense to cut all ties to one another. That is when the email communication begins. I guess it's safer this way, or so they thought. I loved the content and the emotion behind each and every email. It just reinstated that their feelings were growing stronger and stronger for each other, and neither of them knew how to get past that. Emails turned in to phone calls, which turned into hot, steamy, phone sex, I mean DAMN! Hot, steamy might be too tame of words to use for the things they did over the phone. The moment Julia's eyes found him and she realized that he was really there, in person, was a very touching moment in the book. I wish I could have bottled that feeling up and kept it with me.

❝He'd catch her, hold her, make sure she didn't fall, except into him.❞

The moment the truth came out about Julia's secret, Clay did exactly what she was trying to avoid by keeping the secret in the first place...he said he would protect her. A plan is hatched, trouble ensues, trusts are broken, the strength of their love conquers all. After this Night was a story of TRUE LOVE. No matter the lies, no matter the secrets, no matter the pain that each character went through, the love they shared was too enduring to puncture. It was beautiful, romantic, and deliciously erotic. All I have to say to Ms. Blakely is to NEVER STOP writing in this genre. It is your niche, you belong here. Keep doing what you are doing woman, because I can't get enough!

The Blurb:

And they'll learn just how much more there is to the intense sexual chemistry they share, and whether love can carry them well past the danger of her past and into a new future, after this night.

I couldn't bring myself to love this book. I liked it. But It had its moments which made the book cliche. Which was so not good

description

Something was missing.

Most of all, Erotica and cliche don't go hand in hand.

Though there were some very lovely lines. They were Oh so Great!

"All or nothing at all. Half a love never appealed to me. If your heart never could yield to me then I'd rather have nothing at all"

*******

"Yes," he growled. "This is one of the fifty million ways I want you."
"Are you going to tell all the other 49,999,999 ways?" She asked.

*******

"Julia when I first came to San Francisco, I had no idea this would happen"

"What's this?"

"You and me. I didn't come to San Francisco that first night looking for this. I wasn't looking for anything"

"What did you come for? What did you want?"

"I didn't want anything"

"And now?"

"I want everything. Everything."

*******

"Every woman should be jealous of you because of how I feel for you. Because no man has ever wanted a woman like I want you. No man has ever craved a woman like I crave you. And no man has ever fallen this hard and this fast for a woman"

*******

It's a very entertaining read. One can try it. :D
