I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

Three Minutes for Mom is a beautiful daily book for any mother with the aim of promoting positivity and reminders that no matter what you are doing the best you can being a mother.
The book contains daily 3 minute entries which makes it accessible for even the most hectic of schedules to sit and read once a day. It contains practical tips, advice and encouragement and I'd say it's aimed for mothers with children under the age of eight but can be used for mothers of older children too.
Some areas felt a little repetitive, but I suppose that is a good thing as it helps you to keep that reminder to be kind to yourself throughout the book. This would make a lovely gift for any mother who doubts herself or could do with a little more self love and reassurance in her life.

The vibes:
- Self help
- Parenting / motherhood
- 365 days of encouragement
- Gentle parenting approach
- short entries each day

My thoughts:
This is a nice parenting book to add to your shelf if you’re a mom of young kids and looking for some encouragement through the daily nuances of motherhood.

Super short entries make it an easy read. Motherhood is hectic, so it’s nice to get a quick shot of encouragement when you’re in the trenches.

There’s lots of quick, practical tips such as: letting your child overhear compliments, downshifting to bare minimum parenting mode on some days, how to repair conflicts with your child, and how to separate your child’s behaviors from their feelings.

I think this book has a lot of really good advice, tips, and encouragement for moms who have littles. It feels right on target for my season of motherhood (early childhood and below).

Some themes are repetitive (ie. having grace on yourself; self-care; guilt-free), but if you’re doing one a day, then I think repetition comes in handy over the course of the year because you may not get it the first time, or you might be more receptive to it another day.

Some entries felt a little overwhelming. An example is this prompt: “what’s one area in parenting that feels like it will never change and what’s one way I can make a tiny shift?” Sometimes as a parent it’s really easy to see everything that’s wrong and have no idea how to improve it, so it felt a little bit overwhelming to me on the days where it kind of wanted me to figure out the answer to some of my biggest parenting struggles. (Likely something that only therapy and Jesus can fix 😂).

Of course, there may be ideas or concepts that you won’t agree with because that’s the world of parenting. This book gives a lot of insight that you can take what works and leave things behind if they don’t speak to you personally. Overall, this book feels like it follows a gentle parenting approach- so if that’s something that sounds helpful, definitely check it out.

Motherhood brings so much joy and love but also comes with a lot of challenges, and countless moments of self-doubt. In Three Minutes for Mom, Erin Morrison offers a beautifully simple yet powerful tool for mothers seeking daily encouragement. Designed to fit into even the busiest of schedules, this book provides short, reflective entries that help moms feel more confident, supported, and empowered, one day at a time.

Each daily entry just takes a few minutes and it creates a mindful pause in the day, offering much needed reassurance and motivation. Instead of overwhelming readers with lengthy advice, the book provides gentle, encouraging nudges that remind mothers of their strength and resilience.
Whether read first thing in the morning, during a quiet moment in the afternoon, or before bed, each entry feels like a small act of self-care, a short but precious time for reflection. One that requires minimal effort but offers a meaningful shift in perspective.

Three Minutes for Mom is a valuable addition for any mother looking for daily encouragement without added overwhelm. It's the perfect way to bring more mindfulness into your life in an easy actionable way. Whether you're in the thick of newborn exhaustion, navigating the toddler years, or parenting older children, this book provides a moment of reflection, reassurance, and growth in a way that feels truly manageable. A perfect gift for yourself or any mom who could use a little extra support along the way.

Three Minutes for Mom is a daily opportunity for mom to take a few minutes and fill their parenting cup. Each day had wonderful, affirming tips on navigating parenting and giving yourself, and your kids, grace. I’ve seen most of these tips covered in other parenting books, but this format is perfect for switching a doom scroll into an empowering start or end to your day. The end of the book has a list of other parenting books, podcasts & resources which I absolutely loved. My favorite feature might be the index in the back though. Dealing with something specific? Use the index to find something to help give you peace for the day. This book would make a great baby shower or Mothers Day gift.

Thanks to NetGalley for an ARC of this book. I had a hard time remembering the prompts for the day to work on them. And some were scenario-specific which meant if I wasn’t dealing with a sick kid (for example), that day, I’d need to remember that activity until I did. None of the information was new and was something I’d heard in other books/programs. Might be good as a first-time parent to handle things in bite sized pieces.

This book has some good advice with navigating difficult topics in a gentle way. At times some of be ending activities seemed redundant (i.e. text another mom, make time for yourself, etc.) but I enjoyed some idea on how to keep things fun and behavior being a way of communication.
