Pack your bags and travel to Acorn Hills!
My bags were packed and awaiting the release of Mystic Capers by Grace Augustine.
I had the pleasure of reading Bittersweet, the first in the Acorn Hills series, and I was swept away on a journey that brought me a love story that still lingers in my heart. My bags were packed waiting for my return to Acorn Hills. Ms. Augustine delivers another winner, Mystic Capers, the second of the series. And she did it to me again…she left a love story lingering in my thoughts and my heart. Ms. Augustine’s writing style captivates your interest in her characters and triggers every emotion within. I feel I’ve come to know these characters personally and continue along their journey with them.
In Mystic Capers, Ms. Augustine brings us Ginger Farnsworth’s story. And what a story Ginger has… I loved this character. Ginger is not only a character to fall in love with, she’s an incredible Chef. The food described in this story just made me hungry. The heart-warming relationship between Ginger and Jordan will definitely touch your emotions. Ms. Augustine takes you on a journey of a sweet love story, a true friendship with a touch of humor.
A definite must read! If you haven’t read the first in the series, Bittersweet, grab it too and allow your heart to be touched.
I’m anxiously awaiting the next in the series so I can return to Acorn Hills to catch up with my new friends. Yes, Ms. Augustine, my bags are packed!

Return to Acorn Hills in the pages of Mystic Capers. This book is all about Ginger’s life, both past and present, along with her journey to finally find her perfect soul mate in Jordan. We get to share in Ginger’s heartaches and accomplishments, experience her deepest thoughts and feelings.

Acorn Hills is full of interesting, loveable characters. Be sure to pick up Mystic Capers and immerse yourself in the experience of small town life, where your neighbors are your friends and family. I’m looking forward to my next visit to this picturesque community.

I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.

I bet I gained five pounds just reading the descriptions of yummy sounding food, in this book. This is the second book, in the Acorn Hills Series and in Mystic Capers, we follow Ginger through her life.

I found this story so heartwarming, sometimes you just need a sweet romance. That's exactly what you will get with Mystic Capers. Ginger and Jordan has such a touching relationship. As with her first book, Augustine makes these people feel like old friends.

It's always a pleasure to travel to Ms. Augustine's Acorn Hills series. In Mystic Capers, we're treated to Ginger's story. She's a sassy sweetheart you want to see get her happily ever after. And in Jordan, she's finally found her match. These two are not the usual bitter kids who find each other and fall in love. Mystic Capers is rich in emotion, with touching scenes meant to melt your heart and keep you returning to Acorn Hills.

Well the second book in the Acorn Hills books is even better than the first one. I love it when the author continues on with some of the characters from the previous book so you already feel at home then introduces you to new members to learn to love or not. I love everyone in this book and can't wait to see where book 3 takes me! Thanked for a great book.

Strategic moves

This is not the first time I read this book but it seems something happened with its review and record of status. I have to say this book gives hope in areas where it might have seemed a different path in life. The love throughout is strong. You'll fall in love with the characters.

Clearly this author knows her stuff, I say that because as a person who has been reading for years do not always want same ole same ole which is not the case here. As a long time reader it is getting harder and harder to find ones I have not read by my favorite so I discovered the world of indie authors with this author being one of the best I have read in a long time. I have read her first book enjoyed it immensely but this one was different even though it is centered in the same place. She gives you characters you can sink your teeth into and really brings them to life for you. With this one Ginger is the one that makes all the goodies and can cook like no one's business. You are given a look also into when she was younger inbetween now events which is done so wonderfully that you get a whole picture as if you too were there in that place sharing all the ups and downs with the successes. Sometimes authors get lost in the past doing this but not this author. It also helps to see Ginger as more of a living breathing person-that is a sign of a gifted author. I also appreciate that the realism that is given in this novel with a relationship between her and Jordan from all view points. Even though she is with him now you also get a look into how they met. The growth they experience is also yours to experience. Least I forget though she also still has great supporting characters in this novel. There is her best friend who also is like a sister. The family she has is such that if you do not have a close family you would be envious. The most important aspect of this novel is the fact older adults can and do have wonderful fulfilling relationships that would seem to be stronger than some of your younger adult ones because by then they might have a bit wee wisdom with a appreciation more of what life is all about with what is important. The romance is exquisite with also the scenes of the two of them together being oh la la for sure. Life still goes on and does not stop after a certain point so I would say one of the good points also of this book is do not give up your dreams they could be just around the corner. The flow of this story is such that once you pick it up you will not lay it down until the last page is reached giving you the reader a most satisfactory novel to quench your thirst.

Mystic Capers is the second book I have had the pleasure of reading by Grace Augustine. She has created a wonderful series with fun characters, great places to visit, and touching story lines. I have to say that Grace Augustine's characters are so well developed that it seemed like I was visiting old friends when reading Mystic Capers. I had the chance to meet most of the characters in the first book Bittersweet. I'm a huge fan of series, because I do like to catch up with friends with each new book.

Mystic Capers is Ginger Farnsworth's turn for us lucky readers to learn her story. She has quite a story to be told. I loved that Grace Augustine not only told us her present day story but told us about her past as well. I sometimes feel that I have a hard time keeping up with an author that tells about the past as well as the present in such great detail. I have to say I had no trouble at all Ms. Augustine has done a fabulous job of telling Ginger's story.

I really liked Ginger, she is such a likable character and I have to say that some of the foods described certainly made me hungry. You see Ginger is a great Chef and we hear about some of the fabulous foods she makes in this story.

I really enjoyed watching Ginger and Jordan meet and get to know each other in this story. They have such a touching relationship. I don't want to tell you too much but this couple has a very sweet story to be told and I really enjoyed it.

If you enjoy romance series books that involve great friendships, a wonderful romance, some touching moments and as well as some humor then I think you will enjoy this book. If you have not had a chance to read Grace Augustine's work yet you may want to start with Bittersweet but I really don't think you would have a hard time reading Mystic Capers as a stand alone book first.

I will be anxiously awaiting which of the wonderful friends from Acorn Hills that Ms. Augustine is going to tell us more about next. I know I will be looking forward to her next release.

I received this wonderful book as a birthday present. I can't think of a better present for a reader like me than a book can you all? However I wanted to share my thoughts with you on Mystic Capers. As always it has been my pleasure to share my thoughts with you.
