I whole heartedly recommend this book for anyone thinking about building a fence. It's full of ideas to get you started. Whether it be a fence built of wood, masonry, or metal, he discussed each one. And one more that I had not thought about, a living fence. Beneke starts off the book with a short history of fences, which in itself, was interesting. He discusses the design and layout for your fence. There's a chapter on gates, what type do you want, and how to build one. Beneke finishes off with how to repair fences and gates.
The book is full of beautiful photographs to illustrate what he is talking about. And it's written in an easy to understand and follow manner.
I learned a great deal from this book. I'm going to buy a hard copy once it is published.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review this ARC.
