I was digging this series up through the end of the second book. The sarcastic quips and romance between Max and Ellie kept the plot moving. However, this book was way to heavy on plot and lacking in interesting characters. There were also more dropped words. Another jarring note is that Ellie is suppose to be Virginia FBI but talks like she was born and bred on the British Isles. Note to author--no one in the US says "wee" or "in hospital"--to name a few..
