BYOP: Be Your Own Publisher

The best advice I can give you is to stop reading this and start writing your book. Ready...go! If that isn't enough to get you motivated, in this book I'll tell you everything I know about plots, excuses, characters, editors, The Muse, book covers, marketing, social media, crowdsourcing and crowdfunding, a.k.a. everything I learned the hard way through the trial and error of writing, publishing and marketing four books in 30 months. Learn from my mistakes, get inspired, or just put off the excruciating work of writing for a little while longer...

A great "how to book" for anybody looking into writing and publishing their own book. I like Christa's no bull shit approach to it. There's no fluff and she doesn't beat around the bush. She tells you exactly how she did it. There's a lot of great ideas and strategies that I will take with me on my journey from my Mac to the Kindle Store. Plus, it's fun (and easy *wink wink*) to read, instead of being all high-and-mighty or stuffy like other "how to's" I've read.

I highly recommend picking this up if you're into being your own publisher!
