"Ask me what I'm thinking."

What an ending to the trilogy! The theme that resonated with me throughout the book was hope. I have become such a sucker for Chelsey's chapters where we jump through time, learning all the important information and the way it was used in the end was brilliant. Multiple times, I found myself saying 'No she didn't. She seriously wouldn't write THAT.' But obviously she and I in fact did read that. My cats thank Chelsey for the extra attention they received as I vented to them what I was reading.

If you are looking for romantasy series, seriously check out this trilogy!
It has:
📚 Friends to Lovers
📚 Multiple POV
📚 Strong Women
📚 Nature Magic
📚 Magic Forest
📚 Spice
📚 Two Love Stories
📚 Moira (she just deserves her own little section here)

Lastly the line that broke me:

Sobbing... absolutely sobbing.. this book crushed my heart and then rebuilt it.. the growth of the characters, of Saelyn and Thevin but also Baroness Karus and of course the love of her life Rev was astounding.. the carefully constructed storyline woven between these pages is magical and really will have you not wanting to put it down... Now to wait and find out what has happened to Lady Lanna 🤔

“Hold onto hope. Defy the Dark.”

This was the perfect ending to an extraordinary series. Chelsey, when I catch you—oh, when I catch you! I was this close 🤏 to falling off the deep end. You had me stressing page after page on a public bus, covering the bottom of every page just to avoid spoilers. The games you played, Miss Chelsey, might genuinely send me to therapy—but honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

This final book felt like the perfect blend of the family we’ve grown to love and the beautiful promise of new beginnings. I don’t want to give away too much, but the way the past and present intertwined made it feel like their stories were my own, like I was truly living alongside them.

I’ll forever be grateful for every moment that led me to Chelsey and her breathtaking work. I’ve read plenty of fantasy books, but few have made me feel so deeply immersed, so utterly present in their world. Even when I’m left shocked or at odds with the twists, Chelsey’s writing has this uncanny way of making you think you’ve figured everything out—only for her to reveal you missed what was right in front of you all along.

I’m heartbroken that this series has come to an end. It feels like just yesterday when some invisible string pulled me toward A Conduit of Light. Now, I carry these stories in my heart, stories that have taught me about love, strength, friendship, and forgiveness, but also about hate, darkness, loneliness, and Wrath.

Through Karus and Rev, Saelyn and Thevin, Pompeii, Mychael, Clairannia, Figuerah, Ilyenna, my dear Moira, and so many others, I’ve discovered things I long to have in my own life—different forms of unconditional love I hope to experience one day. I feel incredibly lucky knowing I can always revisit them, and I’m beyond excited to see what new stories and worlds Chelsey will create next.

“You breathe, I breathe. You live, I live.” ♥️

*I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review*

Wow. I wasn’t ready for this book to end. Saelyn somehow is even better of a character than Karus! The progression of the story was well done with appropriate pacing and tying up all those loose ends. Truly it was like an entirely new breath was breathed into this story with the expansion of the Saelyn storyline and I absolutely loved the conclusion of this series.

This was a perfect was to end this story. I really enjoyed reading this story. She will keep you on the edge of your seat at times, you will yell and cry. I can't wait to be able to get a physical copy in my hands.

Your heart will break. Into a million pieces. You will sob into your pillow. Again and again and again.

But your heart will be glued back together. In time.

“I am your sky, remember? Even in the darkest of nights, I’ll be there, waiting for your light to return. I’ll hold you up forever, just as I’ve always done.”

Items I recommend having on hand:
✨ if annotating, at least three sets of one color for highlighting/tabbing heartbreak (I say this as having gone through three full sets of one color of tabs)
✨ a box of tissues (and maybe redness relief eyedrops if you have an event to go to after reading a really emotional chapter, speaking from experience)
✨ an emotional support buddy (maybe someone who is already familiar with the story to hold your hand)
✨ ACoL and ABoB handy (if you want to revisit certain scenes and breadcrumbs along the way)
✨ a sweet treat (cinnamon buns are always recommended, but any pastry will do)
✨ ditch the tea this time and go straight for the hard stuff (whatever that may be for you)

This was the perfect conclusion to the A Conduit of Light trilogy. It deals with grief, how grief unsupported can lead to destruction. It deals with fear, both of loneliness and losing the ones you love most. It deals with hope, the beacon of light to help defy the dark. It deals with healing, healing from trauma that can last an eternity.

A Blightress of Wrath is easily my favorite read of 2024 and this series has forever changed my brain chemistry. Chelsey left no question unanswered and revealed those answers in the most genius of ways.

I am so grateful that I filled out a random google form last year to ARC read what sounded like an interesting story about a magical forest and a channeler who unlocks her memories through a mysterious stone as it’s led me to discovering one of my favorite trilogies as well as finding Chelsey and her wonderfully beautiful, cleverly structured storytelling. I cannot wait to consume everything she decides to create in the future.

“I will defend her until my last breath, and even then, I’m sure Death allows compromises.”

Grab a tissue box 😭🤧 this one’s going to stay with you for awhile

The final book in the Conduit of Light series by @chelseyanntompkins was a wild ride…

We saw the conclusion to many stories - Karus and Revich, Saelyn and Thevin and even the Blightress herself (and maybe that includes Adaynth? I like to think so at least lol)

Just when I thought I had it figured out it threw me for a loop.
I almost lost it a couple times, I cried -a lot-, but it was worth it

So grateful for the ARC opportunity I absolutely loved this whole series

✨A Blightress of Wrath✨

Gosh, y’all. This book. This SERIES. What an amazing whirlwind for my brain AND my emotions. This finale of The Conduit of Light trilogy was phenomenal. Seriously, what you expect is NOT what happens and I LOVED that. It required me to reorganize my thoughts and everything I thought to be true in the best way! I think I sat in shock, sorting through my feelings for a good several minutes before kicking my feet and continuing my crying that immediately transformed from desperate to elated.

In this third installment, we begin right where we left off at the end of Baron of Bonds, but it’s just the beginning of all the answers we’ve been begging for. There’s our old favorite characters and new favorites blessing these pages. Chelsey did such an incredible job giving each one life in an individual and unique way. I wish I could fully explain how I feel about the depth of these characters, the growth they go through, the SACRIFICES they willingly make for those they love, and the UNCONDITIONAL love that is witnessed so tangibly.

This series is one that I feel is best read through as one because there is just SO MUCH and it will give you the best experience BUT be aware that it will very much become your personality! And you’ll most likely revamp your future husband wishlist. 🤭

Tropes you may find in ABOW are men who will do ANYTHING for their women, feminine rage, coming of age & chosen one, low spice, elemental magic, found family, plot twists, redemption arcs, and a mind blowing ending!!

Thank you so much for the opportunity to read your work with this gifted arc, Chelsey. I am forever changed.

Ok this is officially hands down my favorite trilogy! The way ChelseyAnn weaves this story in all three books is seamless and masterful. To feel every single emotion the characters are feeling is truly a gift. The heartache, the anger, depression, and most of all the undying love told in this series I have no words. Wow, wow, wow!

It's here the conclusion to this beautiful trilogy. In the fashion of the first two books this also kept me guessing. It is so refreshing to not be able to predict the outcome of a story. To review without spoiling is a taxing feat for sure. In the simplest terms I can think of this trilogy is the story of love, a love that endures, a love that greives, a love that sacrifices, a love that creates and multiplies. There are tears along this journey but there is healing too, and we can all use some of that right about now.

Chelsey Ann has done it again! My heart is breaking that this trilogy has come to an end. This was truly a masterpiece. The creativity in how this book is written, character and world development along with the general plot, blows me away. I had so many emotions while reading this trilogy especially during the final book. There couldn’t have been a better way to end this beautiful story even though you’d never guess how. Just when you think you have it figured out, everything you’ve ever known about everything is wrong- in the very best way. Off to cry myself to sleep over the thought of never hearing from these characters again.

This was a great ending to a perfect story, I like how this was done and the twist in this story was delicious. This story shows the dynamic of someone trying to control things to their image, not realizing the pain they are reflecting onto someone they love. Where sometimes you can be hurting thoughts you love, and something dramatic has to happen to open that person's eyes. This was such a great series cant wait to see what she comes out with next!

DAMN IT WOMAN! with love and respect 😉 Ms. Tompkins you've done it again.

Ask me what I'm thinking.

This was a satisfying end to a series. There were so many themes touched on. I need someone to talk to about this. I need to know more about Lanna and what happened to the first Baron?? Although this is the biggest book of the series, the story was fast-paced. It'll break your heart at times. I don't know how to write this review without giving spoilers, so I'm just going to say go read it 😂.

If you need another romantasy series, then I highly recommend this one. Chelsea Ann Thompkins is an indie author, and the whole series is on Kindle Unlimited too!

An incredible end to this unique series!
Chelsey Tompkins has a special gift of writing in such a way that it almost feels like you are watching a movie! Her detailed descriptions make the words lift off the page and come to life! This one made me laugh and cry. I was left with that lump in your throat when you are experiencing grief, and yet the Love overcomes it! This trilogy is a must read. Believe me when i say, it’s one you will keep thinking about for days and days on end! I cannot wait to experience more of her works in the future! Keep writing Chelsey! Use this God Given Gift for Good!

Overall series: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is a must read series, for sure!

What a magnificent conclusion to the Conduit of Light Series. A Devastatingly beautiful story of a girl, against all odds, became who she's needed to be to get to change her fate and await her happy ending.

If you loved being whisked away into an amazing fantasy world with multiple POVs, a magic system that flows through a forest, love that conquers all, so many twists and turns, and just utter shock the entire ride. You will love this series!

This series really impressed me. It spins a unique tale of love, magic, friendship, and overcoming challenges. I was fortunate to be on the ARC team for this, but all thoughts are my own. I devoured the entire series quickly, and that says a lot about the writing and the story line. We’ve all encountered a book that dragged or that we put on the DNF list, but this series is definitely worth the read. It really tugs at your heart. If you’re hesitant, I suggest giving it a go. 😊

This trilogy lives rent free in my head and has one of the few book boyfriends who I promoted to book husband. Rev is everything 😍

I don’t think I’ve ever read a series with a more satisfying ending than this one. I loved every second of this book, even the parts that made me want to cry and scream at the author. I still love you Chelsea, but come on, you really played with my emotions for a minute there 😅 I cannot wait to read the whole trilogy again from start to finish!

Sadly, I was just disappointed with the finale of this one.

For one thing, the book was just way too slow and plodding for what was happening. I mean, after the setup and the big reveal at the end of Book 2, you'd think we'd get into it pretty quickly. But there was so much time kind of just spent waiting around and doing nothing but exploring markets and worrying about clothes. Like, I get that Saelyn's a 17 year old girl - but yikes.

When things finally did go down, I knew what was going to happen. I knew that the cop-out ending of was how things would be fixed as soon as they introduced that particular power to the story.

And I really didn't buy that .

Just meh overall, and a disappointing ending.

"You are never alone, Saelyn of Felgren. Remember that for me.

This book left me in tears. It resonated with me in a way that I had never felt and being able to wrote multiple timelines within a single story is not an easy feat. Chelsey wove an expertly crafted magical world that jumped through time, shifting perceptions of what was good, what was evil, and that everything was really just a muddy shade of grey.

Who is the real villain here? Maybe we will never know.

Grab your tissues! You'll need them, but don't worry! This series has a very satisfying ending.
I always love how Chelsey uses multi-POV to keep you guessing throughout the story. I was racing through the end to find out if our beloved Karus and Rev get their happy ending.

As always, I was entranced the entire time.

Amazing conclusion! This had my tearing up and I’m NOT a crier! Ahhh!
Thank you so much for the ARC. I loved seeing the world through Sae’s eyes, especially once she truly SAW her mother. This was executed perfectly.
