“Hold onto hope. Defy the Dark.”
This was the perfect ending to an extraordinary series. Chelsey, when I catch you—oh, when I catch you! I was this close 🤏 to falling off the deep end. You had me stressing page after page on a public bus, covering the bottom of every page just to avoid spoilers. The games you played, Miss Chelsey, might genuinely send me to therapy—but honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
This final book felt like the perfect blend of the family we’ve grown to love and the beautiful promise of new beginnings. I don’t want to give away too much, but the way the past and present intertwined made it feel like their stories were my own, like I was truly living alongside them.
I’ll forever be grateful for every moment that led me to Chelsey and her breathtaking work. I’ve read plenty of fantasy books, but few have made me feel so deeply immersed, so utterly present in their world. Even when I’m left shocked or at odds with the twists, Chelsey’s writing has this uncanny way of making you think you’ve figured everything out—only for her to reveal you missed what was right in front of you all along.
I’m heartbroken that this series has come to an end. It feels like just yesterday when some invisible string pulled me toward A Conduit of Light. Now, I carry these stories in my heart, stories that have taught me about love, strength, friendship, and forgiveness, but also about hate, darkness, loneliness, and Wrath.
Through Karus and Rev, Saelyn and Thevin, Pompeii, Mychael, Clairannia, Figuerah, Ilyenna, my dear Moira, and so many others, I’ve discovered things I long to have in my own life—different forms of unconditional love I hope to experience one day. I feel incredibly lucky knowing I can always revisit them, and I’m beyond excited to see what new stories and worlds Chelsey will create next.
“You breathe, I breathe. You live, I live.” ♥️
