Leslie Hachtel was born in Ohio, raised in New York and has lived all over the country. Her various jobs, including licensed veterinary technician, caterer, horseback riding instructor for the disabled and advertising media buyer have given her a wealth of experiences. However, it has been writing that has consistently been her passion.
Leslie lives in Florida with a fabulously supportive engineer husband and her writing buddy, Josie, a doodle.
Leslie Hatchel, the Author of “Follow Me” has written a captivating and alluring novel. The Genres for this novel are Historical Romance, Time Travel, Time Travel Romance, and Para Normal with a feel of Magical Essence. The author vividly describes the scenery and the dramatic and vivid characters. One of the female protagonists in the story, Harper decides to follow her best friend back through time to the 1500’s in Scotland. Using a cloak that her friend Skye had purchased on Ebay, (that mentioned magical powers,) Harper finds herself time-traveling back to the 1500’s where her friend Skye is now married to the man that Skye had seen and fallen in love in modern time.
Harper soon realizes that her adventures are about to begin. Life in the 1500’s is quite different from our modern life. There are dangers for that time period. As Harper learns to navigate this new time-line, she makes friends and enemies. Harper has to make a life changing decision, whether to stay in the past or travel back to the future. I highly recommend this magical novel.
After reading Leslie Hachtel’s time travel romance COME BACK TO ME, I really wanted to know what would happen with these characters. In FOLLOW ME, I was excited to see that Harper, Skye’s friend, followed Skye back in time to Scotland in the 1500s, possibly to meet the love of her life.
This has a great blend of friendship, historical fiction, and romance, all within the framework of time travel.
Skye is now married to a laird in 16th-century Scotland. So when Harper follows Skye back in time you are immersed in the Scottish culture of lords and ladies, of castles and clan rivalries.
The romance between Harper and Daimh is sweet and almost cute, especially for a big, burly man. But there is always danger in the midst; besides the warring clans, some want Harper to return to where she has come from.
We are left with a teaser for book three, and I’m looking forward to that.
Thank you @suzyapprovedbooktours and @lesliehachtelwriter for a spot on tour and a gifted book.
Ahhh...I loved traveling back in time again and seeing a few characters from the previous book as well as getting to know the delightful characters in this book. There is action and adventure, romance, a hint of mystery, and of course the time travel aspect to keep the interest high and the pages turning. Harper is somewhat skeptical about the abilities of the old cloak at first, but I loved the trust she had in her friend Skye and the curiosity to take a chance. Finding Daimh and their immediate chemistry appealed to my romantic heart and I like the teaser at the end. I'm looking forward to the next book and going on another time travel adventure!
I received a gifted copy in exchange for an honest review.
Follow Me by Leslie Hachtel is a wonderful time travel romance that I really enjoyed.
Harper Forbes goes on an adventure and follows her friend to Scotland. In a shocking turn of events, both of them have been transported back in time to the 1500's.
How I love a time travel story. This story is so captivating. Filled with adventure, romance, friendship, and danger.
The 1500's was a dangerous time and Harper has a lot to adapt to.
This Historical Time Travel Romance is beautifully written with characters I won't soon forget.
This was a quick read that has friendship and romance with just a drop of spice. I like the fact that we get an immersion of what it would feel to live in upscale Scotland in the 16th century. Skye has married a laird so there is even a visit from Queen Mary described here.
I also enjoyed the clan rivalry that play an essential role in the plot.
A true best friend is one that will travel back in time to 16th century Scotland to make sure you really are ok.
I loved Skye’s story and was excited to not only catch up with her but also read about Harper’s incredible journey. I’m not usually a fan of time travel but these books consumed me! The deep friendship the two ladies share was incredibly special and I devoured each of their love stories with adoring Scottish men. It was interesting to read about some of fhe dangers and suspicions from that time and the suspense had me on the edge of my seat a few times. Such a page turner!
I really love a good time travel story and this one has it all. I loved the first book and this continues, but can also be read as a standalone. Harper and her friend are transported back to 1500's Scotland. There is romance, danger and adventure. I really enjoyed this story.

THOUGHTS:
I absolutely love a time travel romance trope with a magical element and a suspenseful twist. I didn’t realize how this book absolutely consumed me, and then I remembered how much I loved Scotland, and it’s amazing history, and who am I kidding - I stayed for the laird - and the bonnie lad - also Outlander vibes here. Do pick up this wonderful romantic read if you enjoy a captivating historical romance.
I loved getting emersed back into 1500 Scotland. I had been wanting to know what happened after the previous book Come Back to Me ended so this was perfect. There was enough recap from the previous novels to remember what happened without it being repetitive in the new story. I loved how smitten Daimh was with Harper and their connection from the start. The meet-cute had me smiling and I loved the way Harper recalled it with Skye. There was a perfect amount of magical realism and spice in this romance. It was a quick read but still gave good character development and adventure. I really liked how Harper and Skye adjusted to the time period. Using their knowledge of their timeline without altering the past in a huge way. It was a fun read.

A book of time travel and romance but also a book that had a plot of adventure that was exciting and of the unknown. I am not one for sappy romance novels but the romance in this book is not like that. As it moves forward, it becomes a true love tale. As in her book “Come Back to Me”, the plot travels back to Scotland. This book has the main protagonists experiencing the dangers and challenges of Scotland in the 1950’s, and not knowing how to handle some. They were sent back to strange, unknown and an unsafe world. What was supposed to be a trip with a friend to Scotland, turned into much more. There were some astonishing turns of events that will surprise you, but I think you will agree it is a wonderful, fun read.
