I have a weakness for love stories in which the protagonists are older.
While I understand that young love has its own charm, there is something special about two people finding happiness in their 30s and 40s. This is the kind of love story that we should see represented way more often, imo.
We follow Seiji, ex-police officer, cat and small store owner, and Shin, ex-delinquent, police officer and hopelessly in love with Seiji.
Seiji is so… Charismatic. He's so free-spirited, honest, and good-natured. He can be too much, but he's hilarious, it's impossible not to love him. Plus, I couldn't stop thinking about how pretty he is, I can't blame Shin for being so smitten by him.
Shin is his polar opposite, much more sensitive, sweet and reserved, yet they work so well together; his adoration towards Seiji is as heartwarming as it gets, really. And the way Seiji, as laid back as he is, took their relationship seriously at all times and respected Shin's feelings… Help, I can't.
5/5 stars, starting the second volume as I write this.
