Renzo Stranded in the frozen Canadian wilderness with Shae-fucking-Byrne. I’m not sure which part is worse.
It’s her fault we’re here, after all. I should want to strangle her. Instead, my fantasies have warped from murderous to something infinitely more dangerous. More seductive.
I don’t want to kill Shae Byrne. I want to possess her—to own every piece of her.
As the new boss of the Moretti family, I shouldn’t even look her direction. Anything between us would be an impossibility back home.
But out here in the arctic north, there are no rules.
Shae Arrogant men like Renzo Donati are the reason I usually date women.
And yet, of all the people in the world I could be trapped with, Fate has bound me to Renzo.
We need one another to survive.
That should be the extent of it. But when his hard body wraps around mine at night to stave off the cold, Survival is the last thing on my mind.
Jill is a Texan, born and raised. She manages the hectic social calendars for her three active children and occasionally spends an evening with her dashing husband. Aside from being an author and a mom, she's a travel junkie and loves to read when she is not lost in her own stories.
With Jill’s books, you can count on confident heroines, plenty of steamy tension, and deliciously assertive leading men. There are no guarantees in life, but with her books, you know everything will work out in the end. However, a perfect ending would not be nearly as satisfying without a seemingly insurmountable challenge. Jill loves to add plenty of adversity in her stories, creating unforgettably dynamic characters and sneaky plot twists you will never see coming.
Craving Chaos is book 5 in The Byrne Brothers series, and I loved it. Renzo is the head of the Italian Mafia and Shae is the sister/cousin from Irish Mafia. I loved these two together and their survival in the Wilderness was fantastic. My only complaint is that I wish there was more heat and that we got to see Renzo and Shae as an actual couple and how the families reacted.
I've been waiting for a story on Shae since reading the Bryne Brothers series, and I'm 100% here for this! I devoured this book within hours. I couldn't seem to put it down. The connection between the two main characters is undeniable from their first meet.
I absolutely love a strong, bold and passionate FMC, and Shae provides everything and more. There's a quote from the book that stuck with me, "As a woman in a man's world, I am absolutely not allowed to show weakness because it will be weaponized and used against me without fail." I found it easy to relate to Shae because I'm a female working in a male dominate industry and seem to have to prove myself on a regular basis.
Renzo (also the name of my favorite local pizzeria) is tough, yet sensitive, and everything you expect of the head of the Italian Mafia. He's completely obsessed with Shae from the get-go. I absolutely love the support and comfort they find in one another while trying to survive the frozen Canadian tundra.
As always, the storyline was fabulous and fast paced. Everything connected the way I expected and included some of the original Bryne Brothers characters. I expected the struggle to survive, but I was pleasantly surprised by the twists and turns throughout the story. I cannot wait to read Sante's story next!
I jumped at the chance to read/listen to this book. Because, though I have only read one or two books by this author, I am an avid reader of survival romance AND Mafia romance. So put them both together and I am in romance heaven!
Shae and Renzo are representing their families when they meet up to do some business. The Byrne & Giordano families currently have an alliance but they doesn't mean they trust each other. They have a grudging respect for each other but that's it.
Then they are betrayed and kidnapped and in a crashing plane. Quite the irritating turn of events. Luckily they find a remote hunting cabin, with a few supplies and a whole lot of alone time. That grudging respect quickly flares into more during the long, cold nights and the fight for survival.
Shae has fought for all the respect and status that she has in her family, so getting sucked in by an Alpha male like Renzo may be tempting but is nothing she could ever take seriously. He has his own family to run and she's not ready to be subservient to any one. She's a freaking badass and I completely understood how hard one her place is within a Mafia family.
Renzo has never been fascinated by someone the way he is with Shae, in fact, they wouldn't even be in this position if he hadn't been drawn to her and wanted another encounter. Now he has the perfect opportunity, albeit in a less than ideal situation, to melt her icy facade. He is up to the challenge.
I loved so many aspects to this book and everything in the wilderness was amazing. I liked the bi-rep with Shae and I thought it was a good twist to have her use her femininity as a weapon. She also a skilled fighter and quick as a whip. She is more than a match for Ren. They were on fire.
I did feel a bit of a weakness in the third act, once we get back to the real world. I was a bit fuzzy on some of the motivations and revenge of our villain. But this was a very solid book and I will add it to my recommendation repertoire.
Narrated by Kelsey Navarro Foster & Aiden Snow with great skill. They were both very compelling voices and I listened to this all in one sitting because they kept me moving through the story.
4 stars 3 on the spice scale

-Alpha male x Alpha female -Italian x Irish -Dislike to lovers, stranded together. -KU, standalone and safe.
In a twist of fate new appointed Italian mafia head Renzo and all around a badass and rule breaker Shay Burne are captured and stranded in Canadian Wilderness together. It’s especially interesting because they can’t stand each other. So you can imagine how entertaining their banter was.
From the first meeting itself Renzo was secretly smitten (we are mafia men, we won’t admit it) with Shay. I loved that Shay never compromised her values and always fought against women prejudices in Mafia. The characterisation stayed true till the end. She was really an Alpha female. Same goes for Renzo, I adored him.
When 50% hit I was waiting for the twist and it didn’t disappoint. There were so many hilarious moments that had me chuckling throughout the book. I just wish Renzo was a little more considerate towards his family. Especially his cousin and brother. He could’ve dealt that better.
Overall I enjoyed it very much.
P.s that fishing scene was everything 🤣!
I received an advance review copy and I’m leaving this review voluntarily.
Absolutely loved it! Shae isn't your typical heroine, but alpha girls need love too and Craving Chaos definitely delivered! Loved the story with all its unexpected twists and tons of action. Definitely a more unique read ❤.
“Never thought I'd give in to an addiction. I'm not the type. Yet here I lie, happy to know I have at least one more day with my new drug of choice. Chaos.”
This follows Renzo Donati the head of his Italian mafia family and Shae Byrne who worked hard to be seen and earn her spot on the front line as a woman alongside her brothers in the Irish mafia the Byrne family. Both are rival families and Shae has been sent to organise a shipment of firearms as they are to be returned. But the information was leaked and they ended up stranded in the Canadian wilderness. Who is responsible and can they resist each other in such tight quarters?
I enjoyed this. I haven’t read a stranded situation in quite a while. The tension in the air was strong. The competitive nature of both of them was fantastic and I loved how Shae was proud of how far she had come in the family business. She was trying hard to resist Renzo but when he took care of her, helped with her hair and just needed her close to sleep made me fall for him. I loved seeing Connor again from the Byrne brother series book one. Looking forward to the next instalment in this series.

Renzo Dennoti + Shae Byrne are perfect together . I have been waiting for Shae’s book ever since we met her in The Bryne Brother’s series and she did not disappoint !! It’s no secret that I LOVE mafia books but my favorite type of mafia is when it has the added twist of “survival mode activated” between the main characters . So when a plane crash happens by chapter 5 of this book and our enemies are stranded in the wilderness .. I . was . hooked !
I listened to this completely through because I needed to know what was going to happen next or if the Canadian Tundra will defeat them . One of my favorite things about the way Jill writes is how fast paced her stories always are . You are never lacking in action, spice or banter ! My only .5 critique is that when they returned back to the real world things didn’t seem to fully line up but it didn’t take away from the story . I am so excited for Sante’s story to come out next !
This is book one in the Moretti Malice series and it can be read as a complete standalone .
This audiobook was given to me for honest review by Valentine PR + Literary Management .
Tropes: Mafia Romance Rivalish families Both kidnapped Nurses him back to health
This book was hilarious. Which is probably not a good thing to say when both MCs are kidnapped, get in a plane crash, standed in the middle of a forest and must learn to survive on their own.
I love how the author wrote Shae. She a strong independent woman that's made a position for herself in the mafia world. Her being a complete badass, but still embracing her feminine side was beautiful!
Renzo was absolutely amazing! The way he instantly fell for Shae and knew she was it for him! He knew she wanted him as well, so he didn't stop pushing her to accept her feelings, but also knew to give her space when he messed up! And him about to give up everything for her🫠🫠🫠
I was not expecting that ending! I knew there had to be a mole of some sort, but never did that character come to mind! I absolutely loved that twist! I did not like what it did to Shae though and made her question her strength! It could literally happen to anyone!
I have been itching to get my hands on Shae Byrne story since we were introduced to the spitfire and let me tell you it did not disappoint.
First things firsts there’s nothing than I love more than a strong MMC especially when it comes to mafia romance, cos let’s face it in those types of universes it real is a man eat man world. But Shae doesn’t let that stop her and she has fought tooth and nail for her position in the family, and this is one of the first reasons why I love her. She goes after what she wants most💅
Renzo, I have no words for other than I just love him and when I say this man is head over heels for “his chaos” aka Shae, it had me absolutely swooning. I mean when they eventually escape being captured (yep you saw that right), both Shae and Renzo are captured together and escape together, they stay in a cabin.. now Renzo later in the book explain they could of left the cabin way sooner than expected but he just wanted to be consumed with Shaes presence in the wilderness. Now who said romance was dead huh😌
This one was a bit of a slow burn and let me tell you I absolutely ate the tension between these two upppppp😮💨
Overall I want to keep this review spoiler free but I was absolutely hooked from the first chapter right through to the epilogue. Jill has definitely put out the stops for this one, and I also like how she discretely sets up the next couple🖤
Thank you so much to the author for providing this e-arc for my honest thoughts and I look forward to reading more in this universe.
If you’re a set lover of all things Jill you know who Shae is! Shae is a force to reckoned with and she doesn’t take anyone else’s BS. She’s a fire cracker and outspoken. This woman knows who she is and what she wants from life. When she meets Renzo it’s fire. They clash epically and Renzo knows he has to get closer to her because something about her keeps pulling him in. What neither counts on is a betrayal that leads to them being stuck in the most unlikely of places. Now as they fight to survive and fight the close proximity they find themselves seeing another side to the other and this might prove to be more dangerous than their current situation!
Jill threw out all the twists and turns in this book. I was shocked, surprised and fell head over heels for these two. Their snarky retorts to the other laced with more than hate had me hooked instantly. This book is not your usual mafia book and I loved the fresh twist to a favorite trope of mine. I loved that these two were forced to be with each other and to truly rely on the other.
If you’re new to Jill you can easily start with this book. There is no need to feel like you can’t pick this book up and miss out on anything because you won’t. Shae and Renzo are the start of a new series and I couldn’t picture a better couple to bring in something new!
I loved every second of this! It grabbed my attention from the very beginning. It was fast paced and had me on the edge of my seat at times. Them being stranded added even more intensity. Add forced proximity and one bed, ahhhh it was so good! I love Shae, she’s a bada$$. And Renzo, I think he’s a new book boyfriend for me. I just love the mini things he’d do, like wash her hair. It was sweet. The spice was hot and I just really enjoyed everything about this book!
If you're already a fan of this author then I am sure you have read the Byrne Brothers series, which means you've been waiting and hoping that Shae gets her story. Well, it's here and it is as sassy as she is! I heart her bad! LOL
What I like most about a Jill Ramsower story is that she focuses on the "main" character's journey rather than the "underworld" aspect of her stories. The underworld, or whatever term you want to use, still carries its own plot-point/storyline alongside, if you will, the MCs, but the focus is always on the MCs and their personal journey. It just so happens that she writes about people in the mafia. *shrug* With that backdrop comes mystery and suspense and the grey shadowy areas of life. That in itself is captivating if written right, which she does, but the twist that Jill pours into her stories is strong male and female main characters.
Honest to Pete, these two were fantastic! I could not have asked for a better couple! I've probably said that about previous characters of Jill's, but what matters is now and right now I LOVE RENZO & SHAE! I love their growth both as individuals and as a couple. Every circumstance in this story moved the story forward. It was just outstanding! The "forced proximity" trope to the story was unique and added a level of enhancement to solidify my belief in these two crazy kids! My gawd, I believed in them and I rooted for them both from the very beginning to the very end!
Let's talk 🎤 narration for a second. Whaaaaaaaaaaaat greatness was it to have Aiden Snow & Kelsey Navarro bring this story to life. It was epic greatness, that's what it was!! Kelsey grabbed on to Shae's character with both hands and never let go. She was perfect! And Aiden was just swoooooon! They both took their roles seriously and it showed!! 👏🏻👏🏻WELL DONE!👏🏻👏🏻
This was a solid mafia romance! I was so hooked in the beginning when the hero and heroine are from rival mafia families and they are kidnapped together and have to survive in the wilderness once they escape. But once they got into the wilderness, the stakes weren't really there anymore and I wanted a bit more to happen with the plot. But I really enjoyed this setup and I'm excited to try out more from this author!
Tropes: - Enemies/rivals to lovers - Alone in the wilderness - Mafia
So, I was waiting (well, waiting-ish, I have no vested interest in this series, because none of the books transcended me) for Shae's story. She is the toughest of all her crime family and she is bi. This is REVOLUTIONARY in cishet romance. I also really liked that she had a casual fling with a woman at the beginning of the book, really not shying away from Shae's bisexuality.
She meets Renzo for business and he immediately triggers her insecurity of not being taken seriously by men in organised crime. They have a problem with some crates of guns, and when Shae comes back to finally move them to one of her family warehouses (or whatever, it was never really explained), she and Renzo get caught by men who stole the guns. Shae was able to persuade their attackers to take them with them. The whole lot of them go on a plane that flies over Canada. A fight breaks out as Renzo and Shae try to get free and the pilots are killed. The plane crashes in the wilderness and the two gangsters are stranded in the middle of the Canadian winter. Yikes.
So, I was disappointed from then on, because the two characters never really connected. The two had a lot, and I mean a LOT, of pent-up sexual tension, which— fine, but do somehting aside from it. I understand that it would not feel real if the characters are not worried about them coming out alive of this, but there's not really any conversation of them bonding. They just slept in the same bed (no spice) and fight.
The spice did absolutely not make up for the lack of connections between the characters.
When the two come back to the city, alive, they've separated and are agonising about their relationship. Then, they realise that they do love each other and want to stay together. UGH.
I don't think this book is worth it, even if you've gone through the Byrne Series and are intrigued by Shae's story, because you just might be more disappointed.
I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure how much i was going to like Shae Byrne coming into this ( mostly I was more interested in Reno to be honest) but she really surprised me. Growing up as part of the “boys club” of the Irish Mafia was not an easy route for Shae. Many, even the uncles discounted her, and let’s not talk about the maternal disappointment she got for not being a “girly” girl, but Shae perseveres, becoming a bad*** as she learns to use her femininity to her advantage. When Renzo demands her presence as part of a deal the steam starts to shimmer off both right from the start until these two alphas get caught in a bit of a situation. Their wild adventure leaves both unprepared, shocking the two who thought they practiced for all potential eventualities. While both are strong leads their softness is what makes this book so enjoyable. Yes the author has plenty of steaminess, so do not fret, but it definitely seems slower to build than some of her other books. The alpha vibes are strong yet the tenderness is balanced so well you’ll find it hard to put the book down as it makes them seem real. And let’s face it, the thought of being stuck alone with your “enemy”, well let’s just say “chef’s kiss.” This is the first book in the Moretti series but follows along with the last Byrne Brothers story and there is it bit of overlap. You do not need to read the other books to enjoy this one as it’s good all on its own, but I highly recommend reading the Byrne brothers too for greater enjoyment as there are many familiar characters in this one. 5 stars must read. Thank you to The Next Step PR and the author for the opportunity to read and review this book. All thoughts are my own.
I’m not sure what this book is laced with, but I absolutely loved it! This spin-off has me eagerly anticipating the next installment.
From their very first meeting, the chemistry between the female main character (FMC) and male main character (MMC) was unparalleled. Shae’s character is fierce, independent, strong, and smart. She has had to prove her worth and ability in her family business her whole life and will do anything to secure her position.
Renzo, the head of the Italian mafia, embodies everything you’d expect from a powerful leader. He is strong, witty, and a master planner, yet he also has a sensitive side. From the moment he meets Shae, he becomes completely obsessed with her and will stop at nothing to make her his.
The storyline of this book is exceptionally well crafted and beautifully executed. There was never a moment when I felt lost or thought there were too many words. It flowed seamlessly and kept me engaged from start to finish. If you haven’t read any of Jill Ramsower’s books, you need to pick one up ASAP!
• Enemies to Lovers • Slow Burn • Forced Proximity • One Bed • Stranded together. • Mafia
Shae and Renzo’s story took me for a ride! It was gripping literally from the first chapter!
#1 Shae is a complete badass #2 Renzo’s love for her is unmatched. Two enemies stranded in the Canadian woods together, what could possibly go wrong…or right? The slow burn is real but soooo worth the wait. The tension and angst between these two is phenomenal! From beginning to end this book kept me entertained. And the twist made my jaw drop.
Overall great book by Jill and I’m not surprised one bit. 🙃
“If they hurt her, I’ll kill them. I’ll peel back their f*cking ribs and rip out their hearts with my bare hands” - Renzo
Shae and Renzo's romance was everything I wanted it to be. I adored these two. Their chemistry was irresistible, the tension incendiary and their banter sharp. The clever and seductive story captures and holds your interest and heart in a fierce grip with plenty of drama, twists, action, emotions, heat and feels. Hated to put this one down once I started it and I was more than happy to stay up late to finish it.
THIS!! THIS is why I love the “stranded together” trope so much! It’s a trope I don’t get to read too much of, or really that I don’t find too much of that aren’t cringey, but THIS is none of that. It was soooo good!!! 🤩🤩🤩
Renzo and Shae 😍 where to start! Those two are like a volcanic eruption. SO much tension and chemistry between them, you can taste it!! 😝 the spice (when it hits), the dirty talk, the E2L banter 🤌🏼 ugh my goodness, I’m in love with them.
I loved watching this whole story unfold between them, from start to finish. There the perfect amount of suspense, and tension, and the whole will they, won’t they… but listen here and let’s be serious, if I was stranded with Renzo for 3 weeks, you can bet my whole bank account that I’d have climbed that man like a tree. 🌳 granted I totally get WHY they didn’t bang like rabbits, but still.. 😂😂 he had no problem eating her like the last supper, so I’m just sayin! 😋
I will also say that the twist at the end surprised me! That doesn’t happen too often so when it does, that really stands out to me. Nobody wants an ending they can predict, so the ending was perfect to me.
Lastly, the audio for this was amazing. Aiden Snow and Kelsey Navarro Foster delivered excellent performances for Shae and Renzo. Especially when Aiden would growl “mine”. 🫠
Highly recommend this if you love mafia romances with alpha mmc’s and BA fmc’s!
Tropes: 🐻 stranded together 🎣 mafia romance 🐻 one bed 🎣 rivals to lovers 🐻 forbidden romance 🎣 forced proximity
This is my first book by this author and this was so good. This is also my first mafia, stranded and survival romance and the tension and connection Shea and Renzo had was just perfect. They are absolutely perfect for each other. The audio was so good, I loveee anything Aiden Snow narrates and Kelsey Navarro Foster was amazing. Highly recommend listening to the audio.
let me preface this by saying this book wasn’t bad at all, i’m the problem; it were my own expectations of what shae’s story would look like that didn’t let me enjoy this book as much as it deserved. there was nothing wrong with it, i’m not trying to dismiss neither main characters nor the plot itself, and the writing was on par with what this author has come to deliver every time. but i just couldn’t fully connect with it. i’ve wanted shae’s story since the first time she appeared in the previous series, a badass woman within the mafia ranks, and sapphic on top of that? my dream come true. did i want her to end up with a woman? yes, as a lesbian myself of course i wanted her to date another woman. but that wasn’t my “issue”. i expected her story to be action packed and chaotic, no pun intended, just like she is. at first that’s exactly what this book was but then it mellowed down, the pace was so slow and personally it felt like it was dragging. when all i wanted was for her to kick ass and show men how it is, which she did, just not in the most satisfying way for me. i will say, however, i really appreciated how the author tackled her different multitudes. the way the book alone started was not only refreshing but empowering. throughout the story, how she was portrayed, her argument of viewing fashion through a lens of functionality but still embracing her femininity – couldn’t have been more obsessed. that is, up until the villain was revealed and her hypocrisy and double standard felt like character decline, rather than growth. and i wished that had been handled a little bit better and the credit due to the villain wasn’t overlooked based on their gender and motive slash execution; shae found power in embracing love but the villain doing it for love garnered pity? it rubbed me the wrong way. overall, after that twist at the 65% mark the book was tainted for me, just wasn’t a fan of the mmc.
* i was sent an arc by the next step pr in exchange for a honest review
To start a new series "Moretti Malice" with Shae and Renzo's in "Craving Chaos" was absolutely a great freaking idea, i couldn’t picture a better couple.
I've been waiting for her own story, she definitely needed one. Since Shae Byrne was introduced in previous stories as a spitfire, firecracker, badass woman who stands on her own feets and proven herself as a woman that she is equal with the men who dominates in their world.. "𝑨𝒔 𝒂 𝒘𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝒊𝒏 𝒂 𝒎𝒂𝒏'𝒔 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅, 𝑰'𝒎 𝒂𝒃𝒔𝒐𝒍𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒚 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒘𝒂𝒆𝒂𝒌𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒂𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒊𝒛𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒖𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕 𝒎𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒍."
When she is stranded in the Canadian woods with the one and only Renzo Moretti, the boss of the Moretti Mafia Family, they have one thing in their minds to survive. He is smart, strong, calculated, powerful and has a soft side. Let me say Renzo is freaking obsessed with Shae and is Shae going to put her walls down and let Renzo in? It was great to read their support and comfort they find in one another while trying to survive.
Their story was fast paced and slow burn at the same time and let me tell the tension between them was undeniable from the beginning on. The storyline, the twist and turns was really well written and it just made the whole story even better and when Shae gave into her feelings, i was like finally.
Like Jill Ramsower's other books, this one didn't disappoint and thank you for giving Shae her own story. I can't wait to read more and excited about the next story in this series with Sante and Amelie's in "Devil's Thirst."
I’ve loved the character of Shae Byrne since she was first introduced in the Byrne Brothers series, but considering the earlier books had hinted towards a mysterious Irishman called Devlin you can imagine my surprise when she attracted the attention of an Italian mafia boss like Renzo Donati.
With two such strong and dominant, alpha characters I knew there were going to be fireworks between Shae and Renzo but we’re talking a full-on pyrotechnic display, so heavy and intense the tension and chemistry between them especially once they were out of their comfort zone of New York and stranded in a cabin in the wilds of Canada and with only one bed. Their banter was deliciously wicked as the sparred and flirted with each other. Shae has always been such a larger than life character earning her position in the ‘family business’ by proving she was just as capable as any of her brothers or male cousins so it was good to see a vulnerable side to her while Renzo was more of a mystery, but he fell hard and fast for Shae and ready to do whatever he to, to have a future with her. If Craving Chaos is any indication, the Moretti Malice series is off to a flying start.
Kelsey Navarro Foster was a new to me narrator, and if I’m being honest, it did take a couple of chapters before I warmed to her as Shae but that’s only because she didn’t sound how I imagined one of my favourite characters would sound but she soon won me over with her portrayal. She also had the ability to seamlessly switch between voicing the male/female parts. Aiden Snow is always a favourite and was perfectly cast as brooding mob boss Renzo. Their performances as they went from mutual antagonism to falling for each other were first class and made this audiobook a fun listen for my commute to the office.
Jill Ramsower’s newest release Craving Chaos brings all the elements of the mafia books she is known and loved for with a bit of a twist. Instead of being entrenched in New York where their families are, Renzo and Shae find themselves on the wrong end of an interaction with the enemy. That takes them on an adventure neither one will ever forget, not just because they are thrown into a situation that neither one of them is prepared for, but because they discover that leaning on each other when they are used to relying on no one is best.
Renzo and Shae discover love along the way. But will love be enough if they make it back to their normal lives? Lives that don’t mesh. Both of them having to make decisions that will effect their lives in so many ways. This book takes you on a roller coaster ride as the couple discovers so much about themselves and each other on their journey to home and love.
Jill Ramsower brings out all the best things that we loved about Shae in the Byrne books and takes her out of her comfort zone while she falls in love with Italian mafia boss, Renzo. A man. One that in any other circumstance she wouldn’t have given the time of day to. If you loved Silent Vows than this book will be one heck of a ride for you to enjoy. Get your wallet ready, because this one will quickly be going on your book trophy shelf.
Shea is a complete bad ass and Renzo is daddy material!!
Craving Chaos is a dual narrative told by Shea who is from the Irish Mafia (she appears in the Byrne Brothers series) and Renzo who is the head boss of the Italian Mafia family. A true rivals to lovers and I ate this book up!
The storyline was written perfectly. Like top freaking perfection! With turns and twist you don’t see coming that literally left my mouth on the floor. This book was an easy 4.5 star read. The spice I would say was about a 2.5/ 3. The spice was such a great add to the story which just built more tension between the characters.
The characters development was phenomenally written. Each character was perfect in their own way and brought this story to a whole new level. The chemistry, banter, tension was so delicious I couldn’t get enough. Their dynamic was perfect! The only thing I would say is Shae is a bad ass and I wish she would have exhibited more of her bad ass side a little more.
The emotional roller coaster you go on with these characters makes you never wanting to get off! This book for the first book in the series will without a doubt make you excited for the series! Definitely recommend this read!!!

JILL RAMSOWER HAS DONE IT AGAIN!! Hold the freakin phone because I am still REELING from this book! I admit, I LOOOOVVVEEE the Byrnes Brothers series so I was a bit hesitant to read this spin-off because I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it as much. WELL, SHUT THE FRONT DOOR because I am recovering from this story's emotional whiplash.
Renzo and Shea are pure ecstasy! Their chemistry grabbed me from the very first chapter, and I was a complete PHEEN! For 6 straight hours, I was utterly GLUED. I don't even think I paused to use the restroom. Here I am, drooling and feeling all sorts of heated emotions. I could not get my feelings in check. I was shocked, excited, SWOONING, laughing, tearing up, and tingly in all the right places. Renzo aka Ren is my newest obsession but Shea...I have the BIGGEST girl crush on her. Like girl - take me now. I was so hooked on this book...I probably don't even make sense right now.
Just do yourself a favor and read it. Technically, it's a spin-off, but I think it's a very good standalone that provides a bit of backstory for new readers.
JILL - you are my favorite mafia romance author. I love your work, and you never cease to disappoint me. xoxoxo
When mafia rivals Shae and Renzo are tasked to do what should have been an easy job, the last thing they were expecting was to be kidnapped and end up stranded in the Canadian wilderness in the middle of winter. What ensues is a fight for survival and a lot of time for them to get to know their families’ biggest rival.
This book had everything that I have come to love in Jill Ramsower book… action, a good plot, and the right amount of spice. Shae was such a fierce FMC who has fought tooth and nail to be seen as an equal and earn her place in the family business. I loved that throughout this book she continued shine and didn’t rely on a man to swoop in and save the day. Let it be known this girl is very capable of saving her self and she even saves Renzo a time or two. What I love about the men in Jill’s book is they are big alpha men but they always have a soft spot for their lady, and Renzo did not disappoint.
Overall, I truly enjoyed this one. It felt like the stakes were higher and it kept me on the edge of my seat. It was a different take on the traditional mafia romances I usually read and I would highly recommend.
