Bella Brandon is a contemporary romance author who specializes in alpha males with hearts of gold and the women they can’t resist. After a decade of screenwriting, the global pandemic forced her back to her hometown, where she turned to writing fanfiction to ease the long days of quarantine. Patrick and Alena meet at an event and end up sharing the night together. Neither expected to see the other so its a shock when he buys her uncle's company. Alena isn't happy about him buying the company and makes it known. However, her uncle sets her straight and she starts getting along a little better with Patrick. Her uncle is attacked and when Patrick shows up her uncle makes him promise to take care of Alena. Soon things get very complicated between them and the business. Will they find the threat before its too late? Can this be a second chance for them?

This is a great story that will draw you in from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

HOT 🥵 and I mean Hot Sex scenes that just might have you squirming in your chair reading this book. Patrick sounds like my type of man and Alena is a feisty and determined woman who is now working for Patrick after her Uncle sold the company to him. These two have the BEST bantering as well as bedroom action ever. I promise you this much Bella’s story pulls you in and makes you laugh and feel everything the characters go through.

Wow! Incredible story, written so well, that had me hoping and feeling and holding my breath as I fell into the world of Alena and Patrick. I couldn't put it down, it was that good!

Alena and Patrick met and spent one steamy night together. Unbeknownst to him, Patrick has just bought Alena's uncle's company, and is now her boss. Trying to keep professional boundaries in place is not easy when desires and feelings have you internally screaming and wanting to break every rule.

Company Mystery

As Alena and Patrick find themselves in a professional environment after having bought her uncles company, their connection continues to spark. However, secrets and suspenseful moments place her in danger. This added mystery was intriguing and provided balance to their romance. It was very enjoyable.

Not only do we get a steamy romance but a puzzling mystery as well and a harrowing moment before the happy ending. I loved every minute. It truly kept me on my toes the entire time.

This almost turned into a who done it, mystery story. The book plot was very stretched; but in a good way. The characters were solid and engaging but it just felt like there was more to be said.

Super Cute

This was such a cute story with just the right amount of drama. I would have given 5 stars, but I felt like everything was just super slow paced. Sometimes, it felt like the characters weren't connected at all. With that said, I did think this was a good book.
