About the author

Author Jade Castle was born in the South in 1966. She's a movie junkie and you will catch her at the theater watching Action, High Fantasy, and Mystery movies. As a child, she didn't have a lot growing up, so her imagination and creativity were an important part of her childhood. She has always loved fantasy, mythology and vampires, even at a very young age. She is also a huge fan for the "underdog," as you will see in her books. In her twenties, she went to college and graduated as a Registered Nurse, helping her patient's for over eighteen years. She has written several short stories published in Reader's Digest. Now, with her children grown, she finally has the time to get back to her dream, writing/publishing. Her life has brought her full circle, back to her creative thoughts to write-EDGE.

I started this book a couple of days ago and was surprised! The description barely touches on what the story is about. Fast paced and gets into the meat.

The dark creature's were so descriptive and unique. The vampires are not the typical one's you read about. These guys are over humankind and actually protect them. From what? Well, the things, we can't see.
This novel is High Fantasy in many ways, as it takes us to different realms, while keeping up with Nina and other character's in the human world. Some sex, romance and such, but more of a well written plot. This is a real story!

I found myself laughing, on the edge of my seat and sad.

This was not my usual genre, but I was pleasantly surprised! The beginning usually starts out slow, however, this one takes you to another place pretty quickly. A little sad at first, but it makes sense that it had to happen quickly. Very descriptive writing and a different type of paranormal in the way of bringing in a different type of creature (soul feeders). The underlying plot is about relationships between different beings and how we are similar. Action, mystery and a little sex go a long way with me. There were times, I thought I was watching a movie!
