Marriage isn’t for everyone. I learned that the hard way.
But honestly? I don’t need it. My career as a romance author is thriving. My friends and family are the best. I’m more emotionally fulfilled than ever.
And I have my pole dancing. It kept me sane after my divorce. Made me strong. Helped me appreciate my curvy body. Reintroduced me to my sexy side.
Not that I have much need for sex. Or, I didn’t, at least.
Until I met him.
Jamie Dunne is grumpy. Unreasonably hot. We had a glorious one-night stand. Then I walked away. Because I am not looking for commitment.
But he ruined everything when he walked into my studio for a repeat.
So, what am I supposed to do with this man who wants to be part of my happily ever after?
As a tween, Tina Gallagher and her best friend would create happily ever afters for their favorite soap opera couples. Eventually, the soap operas lost their appeal, but the writing never did.
Before living her dream as a full-time author, she worked a spectrum of jobs ranging from baking and cake decorating to marketing and project management.
In between creating memorable characters, traveling, and taking pole dance lessons, Tina enjoys spending time with her handyman husband and two grown children.
Thick Girls Write Their Own Happy Ending by Tina Gallagher is book 2 in the Peaches & Pole series and another 5 star book. Sophie Baxter is a spicy romance author and best friends with the women at Peaches and Pole. When she goes to Brooklyn to get certified as an instructor of pole dance to help out at Peaches &Pole she meets Jamie Dunne. Jamie is the hot best friend of the certification instructor and as soon as they meet the sparks are flying!
This book is as hot as Jamie and filled with all the best things romance books should have. There’s insta attraction, angst, a too friendly ex, kids that come first, enough baggage to fill a train car, family and friends that “help”, long distance romance and of course a happily ever after. Like every other Tina Gallagher book and series I’ve read, she takes it all and weaves a story I didn’t want to put down. Can’t wait for the next book in this series.
The first one in this series was great and I had high hopes for this later in life romance but the heroine was just not very likeable. And the idea that Jamie had to just accept the minimal boundaries between her and her ex husband was not a likeable trope. Having a healthy and good frienship coparenting relationship is different then telling your partner he needs to just be okay with your ex and his family going on every trip, every party and event. The kids are grown at this point and using them as an excuse. It was a tough read to get through.

Thick Girls Write Their Own Happy Endings is the 2nd book in the Peaches & Poles series by Tina Gallagher. Each book can be read as a standalone.
Sophie is a successful author, divorced, and doesn't need a man...or does she? When she meets Jamie Dunne, the zap she feels is unmistakable. But Jamie has baggage and Sophie doesn't need any more.
Tina Gallagher writes an amazing story of love, reevaluating priorities and figuring life out! I loved Sophie and Jamie's story! 10/10 - highly recommend!
