Kit and Kaboodle are best friends, and they love having adventures together. Whether they are preparing to travel to the moon, go on a train trip, or explore an amusement park, there is no shortage of fun to be had. While Kit prefers to travel light and Kaboodle is always prepared with whatever the companions might need, their shared love of adventure and one another makes each experience positive and memorable. This collection of six stories is well suited to children who are becoming increasingly more confident in their reading ability. A greater amount of text appears on each page than in books for Level One, but there is still enough predictability and repetition to support young readers on their reading journey. As Kit and Kaboodle prepare for each adventure, they find themselves in need of a variety of items which happen to be hidden in the illustrations alongside them. Readers are invited to help identify these important items, and just as the text is more complicated than earlier novels, so too are the seek-and-find elements, requiring readers to examine each page closely. The illustrations themselves are brightly colored and visually appealing, which makes the book even more enjoyable for children. Because there are six books in one, this title allows readers to grow their confidence from one story to the next without having to search for additional individual books. Fun, creative, and interactive, this series of short stories is a positive addition to library collections for increasingly confident young readers.

These stories became a fast favorite at our house! She was able to read and do the search and find which allows for a little break from sounding out. Highly recommend
