Huxley (Hux) Cometti is a former SEAL, retired after too many missions and too many deaths, he is scarred inside and out….looking for his next reason to live. He accidentally meets up with some operatives who work for Red Mark Security, and they are impressed with him. Red Mark’s specialty is rescuing lost and kidnapped children, and that is a job he feels called to do.

Savannah Mitchell is a young woman new to Helena, Montana after she and her father lost their land to an unscrupulous company, aided by her ex.
She has taken work on other people’s farms caring and feeding for horses. She would one day love to have a center for disabled children and horse therapy.

Savannah is working one of her farms, and stumbles upon a little girl hiding and terrified of her Dad looking for her. She helps as much as she can, but it so happens Red Mark operatives Hux and Jack are on the scene. The child is rescued and Hux and Savannah both feel a connection. But previous heartbreak for them both is hard to get past. But their need for each other is too compelling.

I enjoyed this romantic suspense novel, kept me guessing and the romance was steamy.

There's nothing I love more than a romance with flawed characters who find healing with tons of emotion along the way. Add in an element of suspense and all the drama that includes, and I’m in romance reader heaven.

 

Huxley and Savannah's story is all this and more. She's lost people and places she loved, and he has ghosts that haunt him from his last SEAL mission that went wrong. Each of them recognizes the pain in the other, and together they find healing, redemption, and a new beginning.

 

This gifted storyteller had quickly made her work an auto read for me and I’m always eager for her next release to arrive. This is my new favorite from this series, and I couldn’t get enough of Hux and Savannah. Romantic suspense fan or not, you don’t miss this evocative, suspenseful, phenomenal read!

When two damaged souls come together while helping a kidnapped young girl their hearts find a connection. Savannah and Huxley both have pasts that have left deep marks both physically and mentally. In order to have a future together they will have to confront and deal with the ghosts that haunt them. When danger strikes, it comes from a completely unexpected source but gives Savannah the answers she has been fighting for. Suspense, action, turmoil and beautiful, heartwarming moments will leave you on the edge of your seat. I certainly couldn't put this book down. I enjoyed this story and watching Savannah and Huxley navigate their relationship and highly recommend it.

This book made me feel the intense hurt that both main characters had experienced. With each switch in point of view, I was immersed in the feelings and wishes of what could have been. Sav and Hux were two lost souls that helped each other heal. A beautiful love story...

This was a great book by Alessa Kelly. It entails two people who come together after
Savannah comes across a little girl hiding at one of the farms she works for. The little girl is hiding from her father as he has kidnapped her from her mother and is afraid of him.

Savannah tells her to quietly head outside; she hands the little girl her keys and tells her to run to her truck and get in and lock the doors.

Savannah then runs into a man who is not happy that he can't find his daughter. Huxley Cometti is part of Red Mark security and is also looking for the little girl. He comes across Savannah and the angry father and both he and his partner take the guy into custody. Hux is amazed that Savannah had no issues trying to help the girl and they both feel a connection of some sort.

This book has lots of action and the connection between Hux and Savannah is hot, although they each have secrets.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the backstory of both Hux and Savannah. Steamy and full of action.

The story centers around a strong female protagonist who finds herself in a perilous situation that requires not only her resilience but also the intervention of a rugged protector. The male lead is depicted as a complex character with a troubled past, seeking redemption through his actions. As they navigate their dangerous circumstances together, their relationship evolves from one of necessity to deep emotional connection.

Throughout the narrative, both main characters undergo significant growth. The heroine learns to trust again after experiencing trauma, while the hero confronts his own demons and strives to prove himself worthy of love and trust. Their interactions are filled with tension and chemistry, making for an engaging romantic subplot amidst the suspenseful backdrop.

So good! Full of suspense, drama and best of all romance.

Savannah a horse wrangler of sorts meets operative Huxley when he and his partner are saving a small girl who had been kidnapped.

Huxley was such a great character, not afraid to show his vulnerability yet always so strong. Both he and Savannah had issues about their pasts and needed each other to lean on. But best of all, their connection, in many ways was the cement in the relationship.

So well done I loved these two. Such sweet people, not in a sappy way, just caring. The plot was wonderful and the main characters really likeable.

Such a great book. Highly recommended!!

Have you ever love someone with the entirety of your being and then have it ripped away? For those who truly love with their whole being that loss is a piece of their your soul missing. So is it possible for two broken souls to love again and piece themselves back together, to find healing in each other all while trying to save the world around them, or will the pieces be too hard to pick up and the world fall apart around them?
“Her Redeemed Protector” has the trifecta of a good read. Characters that are relatable, that you connect to and have a genuine vested in. A storyline that kept you on the edge of the seat, with a crazy plot twist;) Lastly passion dangling like a carrot of what if’s. Definitely a recommended read!

Her Redeemed Protector is an incredible addition to the Red Mark series. Both Huxley and Savannah carry the scars of their past battles, both inward and outward. Giving in to passion is a lot easier than giving in to love and trust. But with Savannah's life on the line, will Huxley open up and let her in? Can they redeem each other and find the love that will heal their wounds? Alessa Kelly has written another winner proving love can accomplish miracles.

Alessa gives us two people who struggle to let go yet fight to move forward. She has done it realistically enough you feel for these characters, root for them, get angry at & for them. A story full of emotions while managing dangers that life throws at Hugs & Sav will entertain you. Brilliant. Honest review.

A child will bring two people together as they try to keep them safe from their father. They do not speak so it is difficult for them to see the best way to help them. He hides his growing feelings behind her issues with an ex. Their journey will have you wishing they have a happy ending. A brilliant read

This might be my favorite in this series so far. I love the communication in this. Watching 2 people who have faced heartache and betrayal come together and navigating a relationship was amazing. This is really well written. Everything that happens is believable. Their responses, especially.
