Things are about to get spooky...monstrously spooky! Prepare to be haunted by this hilarious, all-new series from YouTube’s favorite gamer family, FGTeeV!
It is a dark and stormy night, and the FGTeeV family is headed out to the woods for some old-fashioned, unplugged together time. But all is not as it seems at the cabin Duddy rented…strange mysteries are afoot. BIG-afoot.
Yep, the craziness all starts when Duddz accidentally summons Bigfoot to the campground. Before they know what’s going on, vampires, mummies, sea monsters, and more are all hot on their tails! Will Moomy, Duddy, Lexi, Mike, Chase, and Shawn be able to figure out what’s going on…before they become a monster’s next meal?
Read along to find out in the first book of this all-new, highly illustrated middle grade series from beloved gamers and New York Times bestsellers FGTeeV!
I received a free copy of, FGTeeV Campfire Tales #1: The Cursed Campground, by FFTeeV, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I have never heard of FGTeeV, before I saw this book, I dont watch much youtube. Nobody likes a haunted campground, or a cursed one. Shawn, Chase, Lexi, Mike, Moomy, and Duddy are not going to your typical campground, they are going to one with monsters. This was a nice, quick read, with a lot of monsters.
My kiddo is a big fan of FGTeeV and the family. We have read every single one of their books and we were super excited to see this one coming out next year!
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Harper Collins Children’s for the early copy in exchange for an honest review!
We love Duddy! He makes us laugh every time. Lots of monsters and fun. A quick camping scary story fun adventure! Can wait to see what’s next!!
FGTeeV graphic novels are very popular in my middle grease library, so I was excited to read this. I was delightfully surprised when I realized this was a chapter book instead of a graphic novel. With FGTeeV being popular and the use of many illustrations throughout the book, I think this will draw many children to it who tend to steer away from chapter books.
The book has a silly type of humor and is the right amount of spooky that kids love. Reading this made me feel like I was watching the type of cartoons my children love or having conversations with them (with their lingo such as “glizzies” and “sus: included). This was a quick read with short chapters that will keep kids entertained. The cast of characters section at the beginning with character bios will be a useful addition for readers who are unfamiliar with FGTeeV.
We have read and reread all of the FGTeeV graphic novels. We used to love FG Family and have excellent memories of many of their gaming videos. This book, however, is atrocious. I’m not looking for a deep plot here, I know what I’m getting with FGTeeV, but there were typo errors and such lazy writing I wonder if they rushed this for a quick buck. Also, what’s with the sudden shoehorned in Christianity references? My son and I were groaning the whole time. I can’t say enough bad things about this book—truly disappointing.
Thank you to NetGalley and HarperCollin’s Children’s Books for letting me read an early copy!
This was so cute! Definitely gonna pick this one up for my boys who love watching Duddy and the fam on their YouTube channel. I love how it touched on the kids getting older and branching out doing their own things. Makes you appreciate the time you have with them while they like doing the stuff you can do together.
so i'm new to good reads and i read this about two years ago but i do remember a lil bit it was a young kids horror def recommend for younger kids maybe like 6 years old minimum so yeah
