Anyone who quotes Taylor Swift and themselves in a book gets an automatic 5 star rating from me. 😂

This book was a great read/listen! I highly recommend the audible version as it’s read by the author and her voice is comforting!

Tracey is a seasoned leader who is realistic in her approach to school leadership. She is super relatable, and her ideas and lessons are invaluable. Written in a way that is easy to consume!

I recommend this book to anyone who works in a school - especially those new to the profession.

5 stars through and through!

I had the honor and privilege of spending an afternoon with our author while she was in town delivering a keynote for the school district I work for, she was such a delight to be around and her lecture was phenomenal - I absolutely got her audiobook. All that to say, I may be a bit biased in my 5 star rating - but I don't think so. This book is perfect.

It's so digestible in the way the chapters are written, one little lesson at a time. It covers a broad range of career advice, from when you first start education, to when you're switching roles, to when it's time to make your exit. Dr. Severns delivers these lessons honestly and sincerely, she's lived this life and she knows how to guide us through it.

I read this slowly—almost as a daily devotional—to think about how to apply these lessons to my own experiences as a teacher.
