A book series about bathrooms and their uses
Most of the action in this book series happens in or around bathrooms and toilets. Characters almost never use the bathroom "off camera" and the sensations and experiences are often "shared" amongst other characters. Many key plot points happen in bathrooms, and the process of "wiping" is specifically described in many ways, multiple times, with each character often having a unique way that they "wipe."
Combine that with a toxically codependent relationship of the two main characters who, over the course of the series, become more and more invasively intertwined with each other in a way that is never questioned, never has issues, and has an entire "system" of magic built to incentivize this, and you wind up with a very psychologically unhealthy series!
One of the oddest and least pleasant series I've read, I couldn't wait for it to end. I was cheering for the two main characters to break up or have some level of conflict the entire time. Sadly, they were both thrilled to, essentially, merge personalities and goals by the end.

Bk1 Accidental Summoning
I finished listening to this story and I was immediately sucked into the story ARC where it quickly became one of my top favorite reads. Melvin, the MC, discovered that he had "awakened" and it was just like a blindfold had been ripped off, during the night. Where he Discovered a magical world. And the stats of "muggles" 😆 all sat at level 1, and as a newly awakened individual he was at level 2. He found another awakened at school, the Head Librarian and she quickly became his friend and confidant.
So grab this book to follow Melvin's exploits as the story unfolds around the him. Where Melvin found that he had to always think outside the box if he wanted to save himself, his friends, and family too. It's a good thing that he could think fast.
Grab the audiobook because Nathan Agin has a story to tell you!
Bk2 Accidental Education
Holy gods Kos Play's second book in this series is just so much fun to listen to, and Nathan Agin's narration makes me happy.
The book starts out in Disneyland where Kali is mistaken for a Disney princess and the mad exploits go from there.
The teachers really want to help Mel and the other students learn/improve their magical skills, and it doesn't hurt that Mel has a never-ending thirst for knowledge plus an boundless need to share that information with well basically everyone, especially his school chums, and an ability to teach it. Because of his need to save Kali from her fate he throws his heart into the situation. Even into some deals that may be impossible to fill!
So grab the books to find what happens.
Bk3 Accidental Contract
Melvin takes action in this book when he gets a message from his heart, his life mate Kali! The message was simple, stating that she was dying from the plague and not rescue her or he would die too. Well that's not how Mel does things. And he would cure her or die trying. It turned out that the plague was man made. And he was the Chosen One to stop it before everyone died in the dark lands.
So pick-up this book and find out how Mel became an Emperor. And how a accidental contract was formed and how important it was to get out of it!
Kos Play writes with a deft hand and along with Nathan Agin narration they make a perfect match up to tell this story!
Bk4 Accidental Corruption
Well if it's not one thing it's always something else... Melvin discovers that his mana has been poisoned and corrupted and everyone that he's used his magic on is sick... it's up to Melvin and Kali to find a cure before his friends and sister die of the mana poisoning! Find out if they're in time to help stop the corruption and stop Rasputin from conquering and destroying the world!!!
Bk5 Accidental Origin
Melvin has to take matters into his own hands when he realizes that he can't connect with Kali. I mean his mate bond is still active so he knows that she's still alive, but he's come against a huge roadblock in the form of his father. To find Kali he's gotta go around him. Actually having to learn how to do magic differently, and more efficiently.
So yeah grab the audiobook (the boxed set) to find out what he does...

Are the main characters 10 or 16? they sure act 10. couldn't get into it DNF @ 30%
