Dear Diary,
Am I happy? More or less, yes. Well, the conflict between the Vudari and the Sem'Pari has turned into a hot war. That's exactly what I was trying to prevent. And fate decided to put my little empire literally in the line of fire.
Even worse, I was captured in an alien universe, forced to fight false gods and saints, and betrayed - the usual.
But the most important thing in a young woman's life, my love life, is perfect. No, there's no bitter caveat no drama anywhere, everything's fine. Well, I'm going to meet my mother-in-law, but you can survive that too.
I like being queen.

Aybiline I. Dahlson has a PhD in Physics. She is also a businesswoman and bestselling author. Her unconventional protagonists tend to be young women who become heroines by happenstance. Dahlson lets them make stormy journeys, where they experience thrilling adventures on foreign worlds—sometimes in the distant future, sometimes in the recent past, and other times in the modern day. On their wanderings through space and time, these heroines encounter aliens as well as familiar beings, always in search of happiness. They strive for justice and are ready to protect the weak.

Dahlson’s unusual science fiction books are simultaneously fascinating space operas, strategic military novels and epic heroic sagas. Readers can live through episodes full of poignant emotions and moments of tingling suspense, while the technical details round off the stories with elements of surprise.

Aybiline Dahlson now lives in France. She loves cats with character, her wild garden, good wine and good food. And she writes with all of her heart.

great series so far, but slightly disappointing

***possible spoilers for the next book, not sure if it’s true***

The series so far has been good and I would have continued to read the series, but I read the synopsis of the next 4 books and they all revolve around a completely different character. It’s weird because this storyline could have gone so much farther. There are a ton of plot points just left out there hanging. Too many.

Also one of the reviews of the next book mentioned no one else is living besides Beatrice in the next book. I don’t know if that’s accurate or not, but if it is, I don’t want to know for sure. I loved these characters and have no desire to take a 4 book side trip with another character into a world where everyone we’ve previously followed is dead, and even if they’re not, there’s just too much left hanging for me. Also when Fouste went to earth, the epilogue at the end of book 2 made it seem like it was only 16 years in the future and Alisia was alive and well with a baby, so this is where I leave the series. I guess I’ll just have to imagine their futures.

I have enjoyed the first 6 books though, I just think the next books should have been written as a side series and not abruply switched to new characters, and there should have been some sort of closure to this series that actually wrapped up the plot.

The saga continues. excellent sci-fi with interesting philosophy

A very well written adventure sci-fi with a female warrior protagonist. Lots of curve balls and darting down unexpected rabbit holes. Master villains who turn out to be pawns while the real puppet masters have yet to be revealed. Only ominous blurbs about a transcendent being fighting a one entity war with the gods. Still not sure where that’s going, but it’s quite interesting.

Banking can be hard on your health?

Apparently, banking, in this sci-fi soap opera, can kill. False Gods, conscious mini vortex of gas--I highly recommend this series.
