David's first book of poems covered a fifty-year period between his time in the Marines and up to the death of one of his sons. He says this is his last book of poems (we'll see). They are about his wife, Sabine, of 30 plus years, relationships, nature, and his Christian faith. David writes as wise man who served many years as a police officer and now as a priest in the Episcopal Church.
