This is another well written novella that was a pleasure to read. The characters were charming me hooked from the start. Sheldon and Rosa had good chemistry, and the plot kept me engrossed. I'm looking forwards to book 5.

This is book four of this interconnected standalone series. It’s told in dual first person POV and leaves you with a HEA. This story can be read in less than a day, but is enjoyable.

What turned out as a favor for a stranger turned into much more. Rosaline (Rosa) and Sheldon both need each other in different ways. I loved that Sheldon was able to help Rosa out when they first met. I loved that Rosa was able to help Sheldon out of his self isolation and show him that he deserves to find love again.

This series has been fun to read. I can’t wait to see what Theresa Moore does next. I received an advanced readers copy. These thoughts and opinions are my own.

Rosa has split from her controlling boyfriend but he is not taking the rejection well. He thinks he still has a hold over her. When he arranges a meet, trying to woo her back, Rosa stands her ground but also tells a little white lie, she has moved on and has another boyfriend! Charles finds this hard to believe. Rosa trying to get away fast, asks a man she accidentally bumps into to play along and be her 'pretend' boyfriend. Sheldon seeing the woman in distress, plays along. Charles storms off, not happy and warns Rosa, she'll regret it. Sheldon offers her a lift which she accepts, but gets out as soon as possible as she doesn't know him properly. Sheldon realises she has left her bag and waits for her to contact him on her own phone, which she does. He drops the bag off at her friend's bookshop where she works and he ends up becoming a regular, popping in, staying a few hours to read then going home. Rosa thinks he is just coming in for the company but Sheldon would like for the relationship to move out of the friendship zone. But could Rosa be with him once she finds out the secret he is keeping.

A good story, showing the woman getting away from her abusive partner, happy to stay single from now on. The man going through something so life changing and even though found innocent, still has people who believe he is a monster. Both help each other heal and friendship turns to love.

I liked the story 'Mr. Ex' by Theresa Moore. It was about a woman who was having trouble getting an abusive ex to leave her alone until she enlists the aid of a kind stranger to pretend to be her new boyfriend in order to convince her ex that she has really moved on and will not take him back. Sheldon was unjustly accused of murdering his late wife and although he was found not guilty there are a lot of people that are willing to believe otherwise and have caused Sheldon to live almost like a hermit. So, coming to Rosa's aid and spending time with her is helping him to slowly interact with the outside world again. They both feel comfort from each other and soon feel even more emotions from each other.

She decides to lie and tells him that she is seeing someone else. Theirs had been a toxic 3 years. She leaves the restaurant and Charles follows her. After turning the corner into an alley, she bumps into Sheldon and as Charles approaches, she whispers to Sheldon to please follow her lead. She claims Sheldon as her new boyfriend. Sheldon had recently been tried and acquitted for the murder of his wife. What is Rosa to do about Charles' attempts to get Rosa back? Sheldon is being a great friend. Will it go further?.

OMG 😱 this was an another great book from Theresa . Loved it . It was addicted and I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. With Rosa was on a mission to escape her crazy ex’s boyfriend was very aggressive towards her and she need to get away. After she saw him a guy named Sheldon so she asked him for a favor with her ex’s boyfriend. So Sheldon pretended to be her new boyfriend. But the chemistry between her and him was sexy tension and the physical intimacy was sensational amazing.

This story surprised me in the best way. Even though it's short, it delivers a strong emotional punch. Rosa is a character you root for immediately—she’s been through a lot, and her decision to ask a stranger for help feels bold, desperate, and totally believable.

What really stood out to me was the dynamic between Rosa and Sheldon. Their connection develops quickly, but it never feels forced. Sheldon’s protective nature and the way he tries to be better for her made him a character I genuinely liked. You can feel how much he struggles with how he sees himself versus how Rosa sees him, and that gave the story more depth than I expected

Rosa is trying to escape her aggressive, nasty ex and she spots Sheldon, a stranger that she "enlists" to help her get away from her ex, who she says that Sheldon is her boyfriend. He decides to be her protector from her ex and spends more time with her. To keep her safe, he has Rosa stay with him and their relationship deepens.

There are several more attempts on Rosa by her ex and Sheldon keeps her safe. He has his own secrets and eventually he tells Rosa, hoping that she won't leave him. She can move past it and they have their HEA.

I'm glad Sheldon finally got his own book!

Rosalina is dealing with an ex who doesn't want to let go. She agrees to meet him to tell him that she really is done with him. When he refuses to take that as an answer, Rosalina tries to get away. When she accidentally runs into Sheldon, she begs him for help. She tells her ex that Sheldon is her new man. Will rosalinas ex finally leave her alone? Will their feelings change once Rosalina hears about Sheldon's troubles?.

This book has a bit of drama but it doesn't overwhelm the reader. Rosa has a violent ex that she has split with, but he keeps stalking her. Sheldon happens to be near while she is running from him and is able to help her get away from him. The plot is great and you can read this book in about an hour. It made me so happy for Rosa and Sheldon to get together. They complimented each other perfectly.

Sheldon got a story...YEEEESSS!!!!!!

I love that Sheldon got his own story, but I would have loved to have found out how and why Mary was killed. I did enjoy how the story started with Rosa first and blended in Sheldon into the story.

I love the interconnected stories with the reappearances of Jared. I am looking forward to more.

She is breaking up with her ex and he won’t accept it. She literally runs into Sheldon and asks him to follow her lead and he does. She tells her ex that Sheldon is her boyfriend. They both have baggage, can they help each other and possibly have a future together?

This is wonderful story. I love how even though both the characters have tumultuous pasts they still find each other. The action and drama in this one was very in your face and brutal. I love the way that the author weaves their tale.

A quick, easy read.

It's almost a 5 star review. However, the timeline is off at times and was a bit confusing. I find simple details missed in proofreading frustrating. If you can overlook that, it was a good story overall.

Rosa has a big problem. Her ex doesn't want to let her go so she lies. She has a new boyfriend Sheldon. I love this short story. Another must-read by the author. Can't wait to read the next book.
