The Gates of Hell: Unlocking the Ganymede Code and the Demonic Portals of Mount Hermon and the United States Capitol

Rate this book
Jesus declared war on an ancient enemy at the very beginning of His ministry. He hinted at the identity of this entity through the locations of His baptism, the Transfiguration, and the Olivet Discourse.
This enemy was cast down from the mountain of God. He’s deceived millions in sacrificing their children on his altars. And he returns from the bottomless pit at the end of the age—a prophecy encoded into the art and architecture of the United States Capitol. This entity may be more dangerous than Satan himself.

In The Gates of Hell, husband and wife researchers Derek P. Gilbert and Sharon K. Gilbert,
authors of the groundbreaking books Veneration and Giants, Gods & Dragons, have produced
more shocking revelations about the spiritual war in which all of us are
Jesus was baptized in a region believed to be the literal entrance to the underworld.Jesus declared His divinity in front of the “gates of Hades.”The Transfiguration took place on the “Canaanite Mount Olympus.”Jesus based His ministry at the entrance to the Valley of the Shadow of Death. This ancient enemy of God may have been the high priest in Eden.Israel’s war with Hamas may have been triggered by this dark entity for control of the Holy Land. The colors of the Palestinian flag are those of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse—white, red, black, and green. Most shocking of all, the Gilberts reveal the hidden meaning of a painting inside the US Capitol
that contains a disturbing secret about the destiny of the USA and a prophecy of a new Golden
Age triggered by the return of this entity—the destroyer, Apollyon.

A Must Read for the Mature Christian!

Section 1 of the book is a challenging, yet a rewarding read. It will deepen your understanding of Jesus’ ministry and his direct confrontation with ancient supernatural forces. Sharon and Derek Gilbert use Hebrew cognates and draw upon non-canonical books (Enoch, Jasher, etc.) to challenge conventional views of scripture and history. Section 1 references Akkadian, Greek and Roman literature to reveal that there is a connection between these texts and the “fallen realm” referenced in the Bible. It is apparent that a great deal of research went into writing the book. The level of detail in section one is needed to set the stage for the analysis of current events and end times prophecy discussed in the last two sections.

Section 2 presents a much-needed deep dive into the current/past governmental systems and their connections to spiritual wickedness. This is something not talked about in most churches today. Also, provides answers to into the motivations and behaviors of our past and present world leaders along with their associations with spiritual wickedness. For example, I always wondered why Obama carried in his pocket a statue of a Hindu monkey god. You will need to read the book to understand the significance!

Section 3 fuses archaeology, theology, and esoteric symbolism to better understand the issues associated with societal dependence on AI. Section 3 will lead you into deep introspection. One must ask: How has technology negatively impacted my spiritual walk? The writers’ conclusion is best summarized by looking at Hebrews 12:1 “…let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.”

This was a very interesting book about the whole history of the gates of hell from the Garden of Eden up to now. Very educational and informative, and kept my interest throughout. I would highly recommend this for a church book study for a deep delve into all the schemes of the devil from antiquity until now.

I liked how this was written in nice short chapters. It's easier to digest. There is so much information on the ancient gods and places to take in. The only thing I wish it had included was a good map to actually see and relate to what was being told. I started out with the audio version and switched to just reading on my own. It could use a different narrator that is familiar with the topic.
