An icon of horror rises again as the blockbuster event BLOOD HUNT rages on!

When day is night, and all is not as it appears, bitter enemies may find their interests — however briefly — aligned. Faced with a devil's bargain of the soul, Bloodline needs a priest and a lawyer — and Daredevil has a little experience as both! But will even he know fear in a city full of bloodthirsty vampires?! Plus: One man has made it his mission to protect his nation from the bloodsucker invasion. But what does the one-man-army Joey Chapman, who now bears the mantle of Union Jack, have up his sleeves? Who will Union Jack have to face to keep London from falling? And as he paints the town blood red, what will he be willing to sacrifice to save his country?

This is a great companion to the Blood Hunt. Two very good story arcs, the artwork matches the stories perfectly.

Brielle Brooks has learned what she must do to end the endless night. Will she run, or will she become the hero she is destined to be? How will Dracula and Daredevil influence her decision?

A lone PC in Manchester tries to help people get away from vampires. Luckily, Union Jack turns up, but Jack has more issues and secrets that could get them all killed or worse.

Good series and lots of action. The first story arc is diesctly related to the main story. The second is a side quest but still very good. The book finishes with a varient covers gallery.

Collecting the three issue Blood Hunt mini-series for Dracula and Union Jack, of all people. I guess it's gotta go somewhere.

Dracula's half of the book is actually more like a sequel to the Bloodline mini-series Danny Lore wrote a year or so ago, and fleshes out Brielle's adventures between the pages of the main Blood Hunt book. Vincenzo Carratu's artwork is neat, and this manages to tell a complete story while weaving in and out of the raindrops (blood drops?) of the main book without feeling like a complete retread of what we've already read.

I had no expectations of the Union Jack book. It's been a long time since I read the character, probably Captain Britain and MI:13 way back when, but his three issues, while not exactly essential Blood Hunt fare, were much better than I expected. They're kinda brutal, really digging into the despair of the vampire invasion. Jack himself (or Joey, I guess) is more of a driving force for the story than an actual character at times, which is a problem though. I don't feel like I learned much about him before the end of the story that I didn't know at the beginning (read: Not a lot). Kev Walker's artwork was phenomenal though, if a little lacking in backgrounds.

A surprisingly good combination of tie-ins.

The title half of this is skippable, less a Dracula story than something filling in bits of Blade's daughter's story which should probably have been in the main Blood Hunt series, but which are dull and familiar enough to explain why they weren't. Union Jack The Ripper, though...this has the theme and the oomph the core event never seemed to find. After all, part of the point of vampires, certainly in plague proportions, is that they're your friends and neighbours turned cruel and predatory. And after the last few years, that should have some resonance, no? Cavan Scott's script might be the best thing I've seen from him, though it's a shame about the redacted swearing; Kev Walker is the perfect artist to show us a Manchester even grimmer and more sunlight-starved than usual.

This was a bit of an odd mash of two different comics both tied to Bloodhunt, which didn't really go together at all. Both halves were enjoyable however, especially the Union Jack the Ripper story. I've been watching 28 Days/Weeks/Years Later recently and that story really gave me elements of that to it. Both halves also have some gorgeous artwork in them. If you like Bloodhunt, this one is well worth picking up too.

This made for a rather fun tie in comic.

The first half, starring Blades Daughter (and kind of Dracula I suppose) was the classic 'young hero learns that doing the right thing isn't always black and white.' story but it was a good telling of that tale. Based on this and the main event Brielle Brooks seems to be a pretty fun character and I'd like to see more of her. Dracula was cool too though under used, and we get a surprising, and surprisingly well written, appearance from Daredevil in this too. I suppose he had to be in this event somewhere!

The back half of this is a frankly fantastic little horror book of Union Jack trying to save a handful of survivors in Manchester while also trying to cure E-list hero Bulldog from his vampirism. The art from Kev Walker is simply superb and really makes Manchester feel like a city in the grips of a supernatural apocalypse. There was a real sense of terror in the book too, setting part of this worldwide event in a city which has no Hulks or Spider-people really made the whole thing feel very life or death. Joey Chapman is a man whose biggest power is being the kind of stubborn prick who won't stay down when he's hit, and therefore a vampire is still somewhat of a threat, and so a vampire horde IS the end of the world. Fantastic character writing from Cavan Scott, I really hope Marvel asks him to write more from Union Jack soon!

This was an interesting volume but it really should be called Bloodline as its about her but the marketing people at Marvel wanna mislead you.. Dracula is there but for like 5%of the book but even with that the focus on Bloodline is good as you see where she was when the Sundeath occurs and how it calls for her to do something she can never fathom to do and Dracula forcing her of sorts and then meeting Daredevil and getting some consolation from him and a good moment there and then facing off against Varnae aka the main bad of the event who has taken control of Blade's body and how it affects her.

Dracula gets some cool pages as he is slicing and dicing the enemies and you see what it means to be the lord of the vampires and I wish he really was the centerpiece of this trade as the name is for his character but oh well. Bloodline is a bit too emotionally fragile lol, feels a bit melodramatic sometimes and it could have been written better and yeah the writer's writing is not that good anyways so not surprising but a decent tie-in and the ending leads to the last issue of Blood hunt very well!

An arguably pointless read after the mainline of Blood Hunt. It’s totally fine to have fleshed out Brielle’s reasons for wanting to have a showdown with Blade, but I also wasn’t really missing that from the core run either. I’d love to spend more time with Marvel’s Dracula but he’s just woefully one-note throughout all of Blood Hunt…just a dude with a sword and a likely immortal-level of actual and literal plot armor. The Union Jack issues were fine, not something I’d specifically seek out. Kev Walker is doing what feels like a riff on Mignola’s aesthetic, and that the story works fine when I don’t really know any of the characters is a testament to some decent writing. None of this is bad. It’s just not super compelling either — feels like filler, probably because that’s how Marvel has relegated some of these stories.

For a series with Dracula's name in the title, he's not in the story very much. This is Bloodline's baby. The problem here is that it doesn't stand on its own. It dances between the rain drops of the main series and really only works if read that way. The art is good.

The shining star in this is the Union Jack the Ripper mini. It's British Punisher fighting vampires and it's everything that seems to be missing in the actual main event and all of these tie ins. The vampires feel threatening. It feels like things are going to happen. Part of that is Kev Walker's tremendous artwork. I love Jed MacKay even though Blood Hunt was ultimately empty calories. But Marvel needs to give Cavan Scott more work based on this and the Shadow Service comic he put out a few years ago that I absolutely loved.

The first half of this book was good, but kind of unnecessary. If you've read the Blood Hunt main run, then you know all you need to know about the interactions between Dracula and Bloodline. The art is decent, as is the story, but it is unnecessary.
The second half of the book was just bad. The artwork, the storytelling, the pacing, it was a gory, horror story, and a lot of it didn't flow well or even make any sense. It was just bad, and has nothing to do with the main story, other than you catch a glimpse of what happened in one small area of the world. Doesn't factor into the main run or have any impact, and is just bad...

Two stories (well sort of).
The first one, kinda, sorta about Dracula, isn't really about him. It is about Blade's daughter. A character I didn't know anything about before reading it. And I have even less interest in now that I have. If you are interested in this story be warned - it is not even close to the whole story. You will need to invest in the Blood Hunt book as well. Art was below average.
The second story (and the reason I bought this) was much better. Union Jack is an underused character and here is fighting against the odds of vampires not too dissimilar to what happens in a zombie movie with a few other rag tag people, some of whom unsurprisingly die. Art was better.

This was very enjoyable. I'm always down for more Bloodline, I wish that she would get her own ongoing.
Now I have to get the main Blood Hunt TPB to read the end of the story. TBC.

The team-up with Dare Devil was cool, I'm not a huge Avengers fan, so I'm a little wary about the main Blood Hunt book, but I definitely want to read the ending, so. (Shrug)

I've never read anything with Union Jack before, but I really enjoyed the artwork and the survival vibe. It was a fun little story, worth a read!

The Dracula issues were missing a certain...something? I don't know, but reading them felt like I was missing key pages and scenes in-between what was happening. It just seemed a bit incomplete. I really enjoyed the Union Jack stuff, though. That's the first series that really steers into the horror of the vampire invasion. Elsewhere, vampires are just another thing the regular Marvel heroes have to deal with. Here, there's no guarantee that anyone is going to survive. And the Kev Walker art is quite strong.

Dracula! (Now with more Bloodline!! GET YOURS NOW!!!)

Act fast and we'll include a Daredevil cameo for no additional charge. He'll even throw in a hero monologue to have the young hero decide her fate (and her father's).

If you get in on this quick, there'll also be a 'Union Jack' miniseries thrown in FOR NO ADDITIONAL COST! See, what looks like the UK version of the Punisher graphically take down vampires and have every swear blurred out. You won't believe your eyes!!

It was really cool all the way up to the second half which has absolutely nothing to do with Dracula. This should have been called "Dracula AND Union Jack The Ripper" with how much of this comic is about him. That half was boring and flat out sucked at times. The Dracula section was cool and Dracula was a badass. I wanted more of that story. I also wanted more about his thought process in siding against the vampires. It's shortly mentioned but not explored at all.

I am giving this book three stars, but I honestly want to give it two. The writing is fine and the story and art are fine. I say fine, not because they are bad but just because they don't really stand out. My main gripe with this is that it should have been a one shot and not 3 separate issues. This is part of the reason I stopped reading Big 2 comics in the first place.

This volume collects Dracula: Blood Hunt #1-3 and Union Jack the Ripper #1-3.

The former wasn’t at all bad and was more closely connected to the main Blood Hunt book. The latter, however, was bloody great. Like Hellboy at its best, with brutally gorgeous artwork by Kev Walker; some of his best.

An excellent start that seems to just end before going anywhere, especially given how the main Blood Hunt event seemed to frame the mentorship between Bloodline and Dracula. The second title was enjoyable as a horror tie-in.

the Dracula stuff was more interesting than the Union Jack stuff even though it wasn't a coherent story at all and the Union Jack stuff was.

there's something compelling about even this weird version of Dracula
