The first of two beautifully lavish books created to celebrate the distinctive designs behind the Adventure Time title cards. Combining sketches, works in progress, revisions and final title card art, the book will take readers on a visual guide of the title card development, with quotes from each episode and commentary from the artists – Pendleton Ward, Pat McHale, Nick Jennings, Phil Rynda, and Paul Linsley.
Wow. The title cards are as weird, trippy and dreamy as you would expect. They'll catch your eye even if you hadn't seen the show. For every title card there's some insights and early drafts, which imo wouldn't even be necessary but will make you appreciate the pieces more.
The presentation is great. The title cards are large and clear (unless purposefully not). This one surprised me.
Got this when they actually still had giveaways around the world and not just the US and Canada.
Really liked the graphics in this, crisp and clean! For every title card, they gave a little bit of insight and took you through the version drafts they had.
This show is my all time favorite. The title cards are beautifully illustrated and I loved reading the short descriptions. Only thing I didn’t like was that my copy had a lot of spelling errors, which I thought was unusual
I think I would have given 5 stars to this had there been more text beyond just a paragraph per piece of art. Maybe if they had added the episode synopsis too (would have made a good reference guide to the series). However, the art is still amazingly good, and it IS Adventure Time, so - there ya go!
loved this have not seen any of adventure time but i think i am going to go and watch the first season now i loved the posters and all of the little blerbs from the episodes it was great
