An Award Winning Novelist Presents Star Guild, an Action Packed Science Fiction
They've lived in orbit around planet Lumus for over 800 years, and for all they know, no one else exists but them.
However, they don't know how their race got here. No history book has an answer and no historian has the guts to find out. It's as if the history of their race, the human race, originated in orbit around this planet. Any knowledge of their existence preceding 800 years has either been erased, or their Prime Director is correct--they were birthed here and their race didn't previously exist.
Most don't question it. Some do.
Regardless, life is undisturbed. All they know is peace. There's no torment, no struggle and no war. The star ships and star fighters that make up their military--Star Guild--are for show, unneeded, and manufactured only to help with tech research. They know of no enemy, no threat, no carnage, and because of this...
...they aren't prepared for what's coming.
Star Guild consists of episodes, much like shows on television. Chapters do not reside here. Each episode is written in novelette form and well worth the read.
Star Guild is action packed and riveting, and with every heart pumping page you'll be on the edge of your seat, wanting to read what happens next. You'll be carried along, feeling as if you are part of the journey, playing a role in the adventure, falling in love with the characters as you progress. When an episode finishes, you'll find yourself eagerly awaiting the next.
Brandon Ellis was born in Portland, Oregon and grew up on the outskirts of the city in a little town known as Gladstone, where he graduated high school and moved on to college. After studying Therapeutic Bodywork at East-West College of the Healing Arts, he excelled in his field, becoming one of the Pacific Northwest's leading Therapeutic teachers and bodywork professionals. After several years, the love for writing tugged at his heart so much that he decided to put things aside and live his passion - write. He's now fashioning story after story, creating imaginative worlds of inspiration and art.
Read for free, first three episodes, 100 pages or so. Weird way of reading in bite sized chunks will take some getting used to. Decent editing, there were a few awkward moments where I went, huh? but all in all good, grammar, spelling punctuation so as not to detract from the reading. Nice space battle, good description but Knights Templar ? Wow! Just Wow! So much to explain so I want to read more. The characters are still a bit flat to me, but after only 100 pages I guess character development can't really happen yet.
Yes, I am curious enough to want to continue reading. Will I pay for it? Maybe. If I can find 4, 5,6 :)
I won this book in a give-a-way. I really liked this book. I love space opera and this one is off to an action packed start. I am used to reading large 600+ books so reading a story in small batches like this will take some getting used to. I imagine it was like this back in the days when people read most science fiction in digest size magazine's like Amazing Stories, Astounding Science Fiction, Galaxy Science Fiction, The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction and Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine. If you like space opera I recommend reading this series of books.
