Another spicy, good time.

Another slightly crazy, slightly sweet Twisted Sister.

Daisy Jane writes these unhinged stories that somehow still feel cozy and warm in equal measure.

Trace and Ivy have a rocky start but their chemistry is undeniable. Yet Trace has some issues to work out. He goes from being a hot shot Tattoo Artist on TV to a small town where he is a really big fish. But... he's not much good for anyone with the state he is. Lazing around, drinking too much and getting the panties off of whoever he can.

Ivy is supposed to be apprenticing under Trace... if he ever shows up at the shop. She gets fed up fast but she also can't help her attraction to him. So she gets a naughty little idea to help him get some control.. HER WAY.. it all ramps up from there.

Daisy Jane has a talent for the type of spice she writes. It is both unique and also feels inevitable. I love that. I still feel that I connected with All My Love a bit more, but I really liked Ivy's story too and I look forward to the next Twisted Sister

There wasn’t anything redeeming about Trace so I didn’t understand ivys infatuation. The beginning seemed to drag and the ending was rushed. Really really hated the identical twin plot twist, it just seemed like a cheap way to end the story. Trace needed AA and a therapist.

This book is the perfect mix of dark and light.

Thoughts: 💡
Set around a small town tattoo parlor there’s a very honest and quaint feel. The MCs and all the side characters are slightly crazy, absolutely wild, but also relatable.
Ivy was total girl crush material. She’s tough and confident and not afraid to put a person in their place if they mess around, but she’s also a sweetheart. The author did an amazing job developing her character and making her come alive, it was incredibly easy to picture her as a booktok dark romance girly.
Trace started off as a jerk, but I loved the way his character evolved. As his layers were peeled back revealing his reasons and motivations paired with his efforts to change and become a better person, he really won me over.
Daisy Jane always brings the kink but she stepped it up yet another notch here with crazy smutty scenes and wild twists.
I loved it!

✨Note✨ This is book 2 in an interconnected standalone. I started with this one, but I definitely want to loop back around and read Dolly’s story.

IVY, WHAT A WOMAN. She was breaking necks and busting bxlls everywhere she went and I was eating it up🤣🤣

Ivy had her eyes on Trace for a while, but he was battling some issues of his own so when push comes to shove she helped him out. And locked his out of control, and most prized possession up. During that entire time I was SCREAMING because she just went about her business after she did it too😭

Trace needed an escape from his problems following him around and Ivy gave that to him. Relinquishing control whether you’re a man or a woman is so powerful. I really loved the transfer of power in this book, and how Trace knew he had to surrender that to Ivy so everything would be as they wanted.

Side note…. THE AMAZON POSITION. I had to google it and I’m mind blown, and blushing lol. Loved it every minute!

But...

What's up with the timeline?
Ivy got the apprenticeship at the tattoo shop around the middle of the first book in the series. We also got introduced to her mentor Trace then. It very much sounded like it was weeks away at most. But at the beginning of the book Ivy's sister (the heroine from book 1) is pregnant with her second child AKA ~2 years later and she only starts it now? So... it's 2 years/2 weeks later at the same time? Like a rip in space-time?

It's sadly something that kept me from really immersing myself in the beginning third, cuz I was trying to figure out if I missed something. Nope. It just is.

Then it got really hot and I didn't care (much) anymore.

1.5 stars, rounded. Bad. Skim-worthy. DNF-worthy, yet I somehow pushed through. This was quite atrocious, and I hated both of the main characters, plot, interactions, tropes, etc. Trace, a 38-year-old man, behaving the way he did was truly embarrassing to read. And Ivy? She was honestly also pathetic for lusting after his dumbass. I am not excited for the next book if it’s MFM, and I’m guessing it is.

I was so ready for Ivy and Trace's book after a glimpse of them in Dolly's book. When Daisy started posting teasers, I knew I'd do just about anything to get my hands on their book!

Let me just tell y'all, I am feral for these sisters. They know how to keep their men's attention. Whether it's by painting, making jam, or in Ivy's case, a *cage...👀 I honestly never thought that I'd enjoy femdom, but I LOVED it! IYKYK!🤭🥵

When Trace moves to a new small town looking for a way to start over, it isn't as easy to give up his demons as he thought. And his drinking, partying, and revolving door of women is affecting his job; but mostly bringing out the jealous Ivy in full force.

Ivy is apprenticing at the town's tattoo shop with Trace as her mentor. And while she was originally ecstatic to be working under her celebrity crush, she now realizes that she needs to teach him a lesson on getting his shit together.

Trace and Ivy and their jealousy stole the show. I loved how possessive and protective they both were over each other. And man, when Ivy was teaching Trace a lesson (femdom at its finest), that was HOT HOT HOT!!

I loved Trace's journey to finding himself and getting his life on track. His friendship with Deuce was truly the definition of a true friendship. The way Deuce is there for Trace unconditionally and wants the best for him.

Juniper's story is up next and we get a bit of a glimpse into her life and I CANNOT WAIT.

This series, just 2 books in, is one of my most absolute favorites. I love these sisters and their wicked, twisted ways. Although, I felt Ivy was a lot tamer in her ways than Dolly was. But I loved her all the same.

The story was absolutely amazing and was written to perfection. Jane did a fantastic job giving us Trace and him working through his pain via alcohol, substances and women. His growth after encountering Ivy was a beautiful thing to see. I truly loved his character after seeing him change for the better.

I have read only a few femdom romances and Jane always does it so well, even with it not being my favorite trope. But as I said, she wrote it beautifully and I loved how it helped pieced the story together. Without it, Trace may not have evolved into the man Ivy needed him to be. A man he needed to be for himself.

Yours Truly was a well written masterpiece and I cannot wait for the next one. I absolutely need it. 5 Stars.

Was it great? Average. Was it memorable? Yes.
There was something missing - I’m not sure what. Something in Ivy and Trace’s backstories maybe? Traces backstory was sort of addressed, but I don’t feel like I know Ivy at all, why she did what she did and why she was the way she was. Like, she seemed pretty sure of herself as a domme, but she was so young. That’s a lot of confidence, and I don’t know if it was from her client that she got ideas. There are some bits of this book that I will absolutely remember. But I did enjoy Trace being a total fucknut and then just falling so hard. I mean, I always enjoy that in my fictional men.

Yea, this book is outlandish but the growth and development of the MC was so good, all aided by Ivy’s tough love and him giving up control. Her mouth was so hot, holy shit.

OMG yes!!!! I love me a story where the FMC is a total baddie and thats exactly what we get with Ivy. She's a tattoo apprentice under Trace who is struggling in his life and in turn has little to no regard for others. From the jump I knew I was going to love their chemistry in this story and boy was I not disappointed at all! The way that man submits was absolute gold.

Book 2 in The Twisted Sisters series did not disappoint. Ivy is a badass and I just love her! Trace is famous reality tv star and she is his apprentice at the tattoo shop. Ivy feels like they could be great together if Trace would just stop his womanizing and drunken ways. She quite literally takes matters into her own hands and disciplines Trace. I didn’t realize I would enjoy femdom this much! I loved how this whole story played out.

Yours Truly is the second book in the Twisted Sisters series and it was so fun. Such a quick read. It was hard to put down, and I love the way Daisy writes femdom. Trace was ready to be taught a lesson and Ivy totally delivered the punishment. If you enjoy a woman who takes control, this is definitely one that should be on your TBR!

If you’re going to write an alcoholic tantrum-y baby manwhore (the literal words this author used to describe him) then you better write a badass redemption arc. This was not done properly IMO trace was so cringe he literally stomped his boot during an argument. The way Ivy knew he was a manwhore and shrugged it off because she’s convinced she can fix him? How about a little self respect. There was so much wrong with this I don’t even care to write it all down, I DNFd at the last chapter/epilogue because I didn’t care about these two idiots.

This author literally shoves OW drama in your face, she doesn’t just tell you he’s a manwhore she shows you MULTIPLE times. There was a woman who asks MMC for money for a birth control pill because he came inside her unprotected, and then has the FMC give her money for it…

Also, This quote made me roll my eyes so hard:

“When I’m being an asshole, or, I don’t know, if I relapse on booze, or if I don’t say the right thing, I want you to look at that tattoo and remember how much you love me, and how far you’ll go for me. I need you, Ivy. I need you to love me that way forever”

Like why is it the woman’s responsibility to fix this man and always be there for him? What does he have to offer her?

Yay... I loved Ivy's story!!!
After reading Dolly's story, I could not wait to find out more about Ivy. The loyal sister who sat on the porch, keeping watch so that her sister could stalk the neighbour hahaha.
And Ivy didn't disappoint, neither did Trace!!

Things I liked...
* Ivy and Trace were fire!!
* The spice was something else
* No feet, yay! (if you know, you know)

Things I didn't like as much...
* These two fell in love, but their sex life didn't seem to reflect that two people "in love" would sometimes have soft, romantic sex. It wouldn't be exclusively kinky 100% of the time.

This book has a HEA

This was yet again a fun story, with a little twist at the end. A few check ins with Dolly and Hudson (plus kiddos) and a few teasers for Junipers story.

Another crazy sister, but Ivy is actually tamed compared to Dolly😂Turns out, Ivy has been obsessed with Trace since his reality show star days, but she never thought she get to meet him, let alone be his apprentice. Unfortunately, Trace is in a bad state, drowning himself in alcohol and women. But that doesn’t stop her from claiming him, she knows what she wants, and she will get it, even by force. Comes in the toys and chastity cage, and Trace has no chance to stand against her.

I wasn’t a fan of Trace from the get-go, he’s a manwhore, and that’s the kind of MMC that I hate. We see him parading with his women, and he even goes as far as using them to hurt Ivy, which got me f*cking LIVID🤬But once Ivy got him on his knees (literally), I warmed up to him. Seeing him be the submissive one is surprisingly really hot and I love the dynamic between them.

🌶️THE SPICE! My lawdddd🔥, if you’re looking for hot steamy smut look no further than her books. Even I feel hot and bothered reading the smut in this, and that’s saying something since most smut bores me nowadays. I haven't read a lot of books with femdom, and I might have a thing for it🫣

💭This was pretty low angst and the third-act breakup was very brief. We have a glimpse of the older Ellington sister and her two men, and I’m beyond excited for her book. I hope it’s MMF and not plain ol’ MFM😉
